Divine Beast Creator-Chapter 2180 - 1181: The Tracker
Initially, Feng Yuan’s classmates found it odd that the Fluffy Fire Wolfhound was training alongside Qi Chen. After all, such a Spirit Beast is rare around here, and everyone knows about Qi Chen’s Beast Taming abilities, so that Fluffy Fire Wolfhound must belong to Feng Yuan.
But they never expected Feng Yuan to hand the Fluffy Fire Wolfhound over to Qi Chen for training. It was quite ridiculous, considering everyone’s Beast is trained by themselves. Even if guidance from others is needed, it wouldn’t be as thorough as Feng Yuan handing it over to someone else’s care.
Unlike facing Feng Yuan, with questions in their hearts, during breaks someone naturally asked Qi Chen about the situation. Upon hearing Feng Yuan had set up a breeding park, many were baffled, as it sounds beyond what a student could manage alone.
But on careful thought, if it’s Feng Yuan, it’s not that surprising after all—the guy truly cannot be judged by normal standards.
Knowing Qi Chen was training on behalf, others also took an interest. Even though they are busy memorizing notes, they can’t neglect their own Beast training, which inevitably involves actual combat.
Although battles can occur in Data City’s arena, for some reason, they feel the battles in the Data Domain are lacking something. A real battle needs a proper opponent, and it just so happens Feng Yuan’s two Beasts seem like great opponents to them.
However, due to Feng Yuan’s irregular appearances, they rarely had a chance to confront him. Now with the opportunity, they naturally hoped their Beasts could battle the Fluffy Fire Wolfhound.
Qi Chen didn’t refuse. After all, it was part of Feng Yuan’s plan to engage with classmates in battles. What surprised Qi Chen was, despite Feng Yuan skipping classes frequently, his knowledge of the classmates’ Beasts wasn’t lacking compared to his own.
At least in the battle plans Feng Yuan provided, the benefits of battling certain classmates’ Beasts were clearly marked along with reasons.
Unlike the heavily battled Fluffy Fire Wolfhound, Xiao Ji, being beside Feng Yuan, could only practice skills alone, occasionally having Veronia as an opponent.
Unfortunately, against Veronia, even with the opponent restraining their strength to match Xiao Ji’s level, Xiao Ji almost couldn’t win. When it comes to battle experience, Veronia is by no means inferior, perhaps even surpassing Long Boduo.
After all, the Mythical Era wasn’t a peaceful age.
Xiao Ji didn’t enjoy battles only resulting in defeat. If not for skill sharpening, it wouldn’t ever battle Veronia.
Days into the One-leaf Fox’s treatment, Feng Yuan unexpectedly received a call from Liao Yu. After listening, Feng Yuan frowned, made no delay, and called Agunas to go to the hospital.
On the way, Agunas puzzledly asked,
"Why would that Wild Spirit Beast cause a commotion at the hospital? If it’s due to poachers, it shouldn’t pursue to that place. Besides, the hospital staff haven’t provoked it."
Liao Yu sought Feng Yuan’s help because a Wild Little Leaf Child suddenly appeared at the hospital, causing quite a commotion with intense aggression.
At first, they thought someone had provoked it, but seeing it attack indiscriminately, it seemed unlikely. If someone had really angered it, it would relentlessly pursue the target rather than rampage through the hospital.
Though the hospital’s defense system prevented significant damage, the Little Leaf Child still severely disrupted the medical order.
Sensing it was a Wild Spirit Beast, coupled with Feng Yuan’s involvement, Liao Yu and others chose to first seek Feng Yuan’s assistance. If Feng Yuan couldn’t calm it, they could only treat it as a hostile Spirit Beast.
Agunas didn’t quite understand why the Little Leaf Child rampaged at the hospital. Even Wild Spirit Beasts that attack humans for no apparent reason usually possess at least Legendary Level strength.
But the Little Leaf Child...
A Good Level Spirit Beast attacking human residential areas is practically suicidal.
Knowing humans have limited tolerance for Wild Spirit Beasts, if they go too far, even cruel retaliation from humans would be met without objection from Divine Beasts.
Even Agunas didn’t condone Wild Spirit Beasts abusing their favoritism. Others’ goodwill wasn’t a passport for Wild Spirit Beasts committing evil deeds.
Feng Yuan too couldn’t fathom why the Little Leaf Child attacked the hospital. What’s odd is why it would target this particular hospital.
Compared to attacking other places, targeting a hospital dedicated to receiving and treating Wild Spirit Beasts felt especially bewildering to Feng Yuan.
Such hospitals don’t treat Spirit Beasts living with humans, moreover, they serve as a safeguard for Wild Spirit Beasts.
Even those Wild Spirit Beasts that rampage try to avoid attacking such facilities. Else, even if they evade human retaliation, they’d be dealt with by other Wild Spirit Beasts.
What exactly is going on with this Little Leaf Child?
Feng Yuan really couldn’t figure it out.
Hopefully, it’s still able to communicate.
With an inward sigh, Feng Yuan couldn’t help but worry. As this behavior seemed irrational, risks increase if Agunas can’t communicate with it, making the outcome predictable.
Agunas would likely take action, for such destruction of peace is intolerable to Agunas.
Arriving quickly at the hospital, Feng Yuan spotted a Little Leaf Child continuously attacking within a Space Barrier. However, due to its lack of power, it failed to penetrate the barrier.
The city defense of Maomu City was designed to confront Legendary and even Mythical Level Spirit Beast invasions. A mere Good Level Wild Little Leaf Child had it not been for considering its minimal threat and chance of reconciliation, it would’ve long been subdued.
Upon seeing the Little Leaf Child, Agunas immediately tossed a book in hand, and the phantom of stars blossoming and extinguishing emerged once more. The Little Leaf Child’s attacks ceased soon after, unable to use its ultimate move within Agunas’ Domain.
Seeing Agunas act, the Special Duty Team quickly lifted the Space Barrier, as they noted the Little Leaf Child could no longer perform any ultimate move.
With a cold snort, Agunas approached and began to reprimand the child without lifting the Domain.
Resenting Agunas, the Little Leaf Child protested, appearing angry. As Agunas flicked its tail, doubt filled its gaze, and after a while, seeing the Little Leaf Child gradually calming down, though its eyes still held suspicion, Feng Yuan rubbed his chin thoughtfully.
The Little Leaf Child seemingly didn’t lose its reason, so what was its situation?
Agunas turned, giving Feng Yuan an exasperated look, and said,
"It’s all a misunderstanding. It’s a friend of the One-leaf Fox. It tracked here and found the One-leaf Fox’s scent vanished, so..."
Momentarily stunned, Feng Yuan glanced at the Little Leaf Child in surprise. Although Agunas conveyed briefly, Feng Yuan immediately understood the situation.
This Little Leaf Child likely shares a close relationship with the One-leaf Fox. When the One-leaf Fox was transported, scent tracking was possible through vehicles.
But upon transferring the One-leaf Fox again, due to its weakened state, the manor was driven directly back and forth. Regardless of effort, tracking sky-borne scent wasn’t feasible, leading to misunderstandings.
"So that’s how it is—let’s take it back. Oh, and could you calculate the damages here? Once assessed, let them settle the bill themselves."
Glancing at the now calm Little Leaf Child, Feng Yuan calmly instructed the Special Duty Team. Though minimal destruction occurred, its commotion wasn’t entirely harmless.
These should be the responsibilities of it and the One-leaf Fox, matters Feng Yuan refused to involve in. As for dodging the debt?
Feng Yuan wasn’t concerned about them evading the debt, confident Agunas would deter such thoughts. The manner of repayment wasn’t Feng Yuan’s concern. Teaching them a memorable lesson seemed beneficial to Feng Yuan.
Otherwise, if this little creature believed it could be unruly with this, trouble would inevitably arise.
