CRUNCH!

The head of the Celestial Favorer, Liu Dong, was instantly bitten off by a Black Dog Void Demon. A spray of blood splattered all over Zhang Yuanyuan’s face.

"Help!!"

The color drained from Zhang Yuanyuan’s face as she let out a bloodcurdling scream.

A Black Dog Void Demon lunged forward and viciously bit down on Zhang Yuanyuan’s neck, snapping it with a sickening crunch.

"Someone’s screaming! What do we do?"

At the cave entrance, the other student on guard duty paled, his body trembling as he spoke, completely at a loss.

"What else can we do? Go get Shu Feng and Ding Xiaoxue! You stay here and keep watch, I’ll go inform them!"

Zhou Hai turned on his phone’s flashlight and darted deep into the cave.

"I’m going too!"

The other student’s face changed drastically. He cried out and also charged into the cave.

"Shu Feng, Ding Xiaoxue, this is bad!! Monsters are attacking outside!!"

Zhou Hai sprinted, shouting at the top of his lungs, his voice echoing through the cave.

"I’m going to fight!"

Shu Feng rose from between the two beautiful girls, pulled out the Black Crow, and strode toward the outside.

Ding Xiaoxue, Zhuo Qianlei, and a few other Celestial Favorers armed with watermelon knives and Wooden Spears gathered and headed toward the cave’s exit.

"Help!!"

"Save me!! Save me!!"

Just as Shu Feng reached the cave entrance, he saw students fleeing toward the cave, one after another. Behind them, Black Dog Void Demons chased them down, tackling them to the ground and biting through their throats.

Vast amounts of blood splattered across the ground. The scene was gruesome to the extreme.

Seeing this, the few Celestial Favorers felt their limbs go cold. They trembled all over, their eyes filled with Fear.

"Shu Feng, we have to go save them!" Zhuo Qianlei said anxiously, her expression changing as she watched a classmate die horribly right before her eyes.

"No! We’re not strong enough! There are over thirty Black Dog Void Demons out there! We’re severely lacking in combat power! Our only advantage is the cave’s terrain. If we leave it, those Black Dog Void Demons will wipe us all out."

"If we die, every other student in this cave will die too!"

Shu Feng shook his head slightly, his tone firm and decisive.

"So we’re just going to stand here and watch our classmates get killed right in front of us? Shu Feng, aren’t you being a little too heartless?"

Sun Xiu, the Celestial Favorer who had awakened the Warrior Profession, shouted this. His gaze swept furtively over Ding Xiaoxue. He was one of Ding Xiaoxue’s admirers and was jealous of Shu Feng, hoping to tarnish his image in her eyes.

Shu Feng’s brow twitched. He shot Sun Xiu a cold glance and said, "Fine. If you can’t bear to watch, then you go out there and save them!"

Sun Xiu’s face flushed red as he yelled, "If I had the Ability, I definitely wouldn’t be as heartless as you, just watching people die!"

Ding Xiaoxue’s brows furrowed. "That’s enough, Sun Xiu!" she snapped. "We’re already short on combat power. Fighting out there is a suicide mission. If you want to die, you can go get yourself killed. Don’t drag everyone else down with you. Now shut your mouth. If you won’t, then get lost! Don’t stand here destroying the team’s morale!"

Humiliated and furious, Sun Xiu fell silent, grinding his teeth.

Ding Xiaoxue gazed at the dozens of Black Dog Void Demons in the distance, a flicker of worry in her beautiful eyes. "Shu Feng," she said, "we don’t have enough people. I’m afraid we won’t be able to defend the entrance."

One-on-one, Ding Xiaoxue could instantly kill a Black Dog Void Demon. Against two, three, or even four, she could still win with ease.

But if dozens of Black Dog Void Demons swarmed her at once, even though she had advanced to the rank of Spirit Warrior, she would be torn to shreds.

Ding Xiaoxue looked at the Goblin Warriors that had appeared in the cave, her beautiful eyes lighting up with a flash of curiosity. "Shu Feng, I’m really curious now. What kind of Spiritual Ability did you awaken?!"

"Zhuo Qianlei, all of you, fall back! If you stay here, we’ll just have to waste energy protecting you!"

Shu Feng smiled slightly and turned to Zhuo Qianlei.

"Okay! Let’s go!"

Zhuo Qianlei was decisive, immediately turning to the other Celestial Favorers.

The other Celestial Favorers, knowing they weren’t strong enough to fight, obediently retreated deeper into the cave.

After slaughtering all the students outside, the dozens of Black Dog Void Demons began to gnaw on their corpses, their eyes fixed on the cave.

Six Big Goblins drew their bows and fired. Arrows shot out like falling stars, striking six of the Black Dog Void Demons and causing them to falter for a split second.

The remaining Black Dog Void Demons continued their rapid charge.

The two-meter-tall Goblin Leader, like a mountain of flesh, swung a massive wooden club and viciously struck a Black Dog Void Demon. Its skull caved in, and it was sent flying over ten meters, landing as a corpse.

Several Black Dog Void Demons tried to lunge at the Goblin Leader from the sides.

A dozen or so Big Goblins armed with short blades and Wooden Spears charged the Black Dog Void Demons.

A Big Goblin stabbed at a Black Dog Void Demon with its short blade, barely managing to pierce its hide. The demon retaliated instantly, opening its massive, bloody maw and biting clean through the Big Goblin’s neck.

BANG!

The instant the Black Dog Void Demon finished off the Big Goblin, Shu Feng pulled the trigger, blasting the demon’s head apart with a single shot.

Shu Feng was terrible at hitting distant, moving targets, but a semi-stationary monster at a range of five or six meters couldn’t possibly withstand his shot.

Elsewhere, another Big Goblin also had its neck snapped by the bite of a Black Dog Void Demon.

A flash of sword light later, the Black Dog Void Demon’s head split in two. Ding Xiaoxue appeared in its place, already striking at another Black Dog Void Demon.

The Big Goblins were no match for the Black Dog Void Demons, but they were fearless and ferocious. Even as their throats were being torn out, they would desperately hold on to their enemies, giving Shu Feng, Big Black, and Ding Xiaoxue the chance to land the finishing blow.
