In a daze, Mika Summers felt someone touching her. She opened her eyes to see Tristan pulling her into his arms.

"Did I wake you?" Tristan Grayson looked down at her, his voice gentle.

Mika Summers blushed and murmured, "Mhm..."

Tristan Grayson smiled tenderly. "I have to go to the office first thing in the morning. I’ll have Mom come and stay with you then."

"Okay."

"You can’t go running around again while I’m gone." The thought of how this woman had actually dared to run out of the hospital to chase Amelia Avery made him uneasy.

"Then get some sleep." Hearing her obedient reply, Tristan Grayson smiled, nodded, and placed a kiss on her forehead.

"Tiana went to school, and your father went to the company to handle some things, so I was the only one left at home. That’s why I came over early to keep you company."
