Chapter 157: Chapter 157: Have a Taste

"Archie... you can’t do this to me..." Eleanor backed away in fear until she hit the edge of the bed, collapsing to the floor and using it for support.

Archie gave a sinister smile. He glanced at his watch and said coldly, "Eleanor, you should know full well that I have very little patience."

"Archie, I know I was wrong, but you can’t do this to me. This is our child!"

At her words, a shadow passed through Archie’s eyes. But to protect his family, he couldn’t let himself go soft. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦

’Sometimes, being soft-hearted can get people killed. Just like this time. Because of Eleanor, everything I so carefully planned was completely ruined...’

Seeing Archie go silent, Eleanor knew he was softening. She spoke again, "The baby is already over five months along. These past few days, I can even feel it move. Archie, didn’t you say you love children? You also said you could forgive all my past mistakes for the sake of our child. Archie, maybe at first I really was just using you, but now... I truly love you..."

Archie’s brow furrowed. He stared at Eleanor’s slightly swollen belly where their child was growing. ’I really can’t bring myself to be so cruel.’

But then he remembered everything Eleanor had done, and the scene of Mika being reprimanded earlier today. ’No matter what, I can’t forgive her.’

Eleanor used the bed to push herself up. She walked over to Archie, grabbed his hand, and pressed it against her belly. Her voice trembled as she spoke, a pleading smile on her face. "Archie, feel it. The baby’s moving. It’s really moving..." As she spoke, she began to cry.

When Archie’s hand touched her stomach, he did feel it stir. A complex mix of emotions filled his eyes, and he froze, standing rigid.

"What happened with Mika today... I really didn’t mean for it to happen, Archie. Please, believe me."

It was his child, after all. With just a few words, Eleanor had once again persuaded him. Archie sharply pulled his hand back and said in a low, heavy voice, "I’ll trust you one last time, Eleanor. Don’t make me regret this decision."

"I won’t... I won’t, Archie..." Eleanor said, happily throwing her arms around him.

Worried she might fall, Archie didn’t push her away, simply letting her hold him...

At that, Archie let out a self-deprecating laugh. ’Eleanor is so clever. She always knows exactly how to play the sympathy card, and I fall for it every single time. When did I become so indecisive? So easily swayed by a woman?’

「In a coffee shop across from Crimson Blossom Academy.」

Inside a private room, Gia Miller took out two stacks of cash from her purse and placed them on the table.

The man sitting across from her took the money and handed it to one of his lackeys standing behind him. A roguish smirk played on his lips as he sneered, "Miss Miller, you know I want more than just money."

"After it’s done, I’ll be waiting for you at the usual place."

The man chuckled and stood up, stuffing his hands in his pockets. "Heh, it’s a deal. See you tonight." With that, he left with his four men.

Gia Miller watched them go, her hand on the table clenching into a tight fist. "Amelia Avery," she muttered, "I’m going to let you have a taste of just how wonderful it feels to be gang-raped!"

「Ninth Grade, Class A.」

Ever since that incident with Tiana, Amelia had been sticking to her side, worried she’d get bullied again...

If she had known that her constant presence was precisely what would lead to Tiana nearly being killed on several occasions, she would have been consumed by guilt and regret. But of course, that is a story for another time...
