Chapter 175: Chapter 175: The Old Place

In the early morning, Taro and his wife, Hathaway, along with their excited granddaughter Ninn, who had barely slept the entire night, leave the house. Before leaving, they take one last look at Tam, who is sound asleep in his room. Ninn, still holding her grandfather's hand, softly says at the door, "Goodbye, Daddy, we're going to play first!"

Hathaway, with her joyful and expectant granddaughter, walks into the spherical spaceship, which is now a finished product. The hatch slowly closes... "Isn't Grandpa coming too?" the little girl blinks, looking at her grandfather's figure outside the window, her face showing a hint of regret.

Hathaway smiles and replies, "Grandpa will come, of course... but he'll be outside."

The little girl exclaims, "Wow!" but doesn't think much of it, as she still lacks an understanding of space, the universe, and interstellar travel. After all, in fairy tales, people just go to the stars right away, don't they?

Once the spaceship is sealed, Taro floats outside, one hand pressed against the cold metal surface. He looks up calmly at the remnants of the night sky.

Whoosh! The spacecraft and Taro vanish from the nearby area of the island's house. A small vacuum zone appears, causing a whirlwind of air around the spaceship, but it quickly settles.

Taro doesn't immediately head to any planet.

"Wow..." The spherical spaceship suddenly appears beyond Earth's atmosphere, speeding away from the planet at incredible velocity. The low voice of Ninn comes from the window as she stares at the cosmic scenery outside, her little mouth agape in awe. The stars, which seemed much closer, mesmerize her as she stares wide-eyed.

Since they are in space, there is no air resistance, and thus no need to release ki to counteract the friction during flight. Even though Taro is propelling the spaceship with his immense power, no white light, which would normally appear during atmospheric flight, emanates from him. His ki circulates inside him, never wasting a single ounce, but instead amplifying many times over, becoming the force driving the ship through the stars.

"Look, what's that?" Hathaway crouches down slightly inside the ship, grabbing Ninn's tender little arm, pointing towards a direction outside the window. It's a giant fireball in the pitch-black night sky, emitting a brightness like eternal light.

"The sun! It's the sun!" Ninn whispers in awe, feeling that the sun looks so much bigger and brighter now.

Because the spaceship windows are specially treated, it's safe to look directly at the sun from within. The little girl presses her face against the window, in awe of the majestic view of the universe. Even Hathaway, in the face of such boundless, ancient stars, feels a sense of her own smallness. How much more so for the young girl?

"But what about Grandpa?" the little girl asks, puzzled.

It's as if Taro instantly senses her question. His face appears outside the window, smiling at Hathaway and the little girl. Without speaking, his voice reaches them through the vacuum and the window: "I'm here, little girl."

"Ha, Grandpa, you're so bright!" the little girl giggles, covering her mouth. Because they are in outer space, the intense sunlight has no medium to block it and bathes Taro in full. Yet, the strong light and radiation have no effect on his body.

It's only because the little girl lacks knowledge that she doesn't find it odd that Grandpa is outside.

Hathaway smiles softly as well. She knows that her husband, floating outside the spaceship, is in a state of absolute silence in the extreme cold of space, where no living being could survive for even half a minute. Looking through the window, Hathaway can't help but feel a sense of surrealism. It's moments like these when she truly realizes just how extraordinary and unimaginable the man she married is.

And so, a spherical spaceship, without any propulsion system, travels through the universe, a blend of dazzling light and pitch-black void. It passes through many unique cosmic sights: magnificent supergiants, beautiful planets, three-star systems spiraling around each other - and even intangible special celestial bodies like black holes.

Black holes cannot be directly observed. Taro, while passing by, sensed the immense gravitational pull and deduced its presence. This wasn't the first time he had encountered such a situation in recent years. He didn't make any further explanations, acting as if nothing had happened. He moved the spaceship away in an instant and then leaped forward, traveling an unknown number of light-years.

His teleportation is different from Son Goku's. He doesn't need a living being's ki signature as a target. Instead, he can teleport freely, controlling both the distance and direction with his will. The only thing he needs to master and practice is how to accurately reach his intended destination.

---

Their first stop was the distant Yardrat Planet, also known as the New Magic Planet.

Calculating, it had been over seventy, almost eighty years, since Taro left this place. He wondered how the Holy Mage and the Yardrat people were doing, and how the two races had been getting along. Thinking this, Taro and the spherical spaceship appeared on a deserted snow peak in the ice mountains where the Yardrat people lived.

Whoo... Whoo...

They were at an extremely high altitude, where the howling winds roared. The oxygen was incredibly thin, and the temperature was likely well below minus one hundred degrees. As soon as the spherical spaceship appeared, a thin layer of ice immediately formed on its surface. Taro's hand, pressed against the ship's metallic exterior, instantly "stuck" to it.

Inside the ship, the little girl Ninn gazed out of the window with wide eyes, full of curiosity about going outside. But Hathaway, seeing her husband shaking his head from outside and glancing at the icy mountain peaks, understood the current environment. She gently said, "Don't rush, wait for Grandpa to bring us down."

Almost as soon as Hathaway finished speaking, the scene outside the window changed. The snow-capped mountain peaks were replaced by a vast ice-colored plain below green hills... "Oh, it seems we've arrived," Hathaway smiled, holding the little girl's soft arms. She picked her up and pressed a button on the ship's wall, entering a password. With a hiss, the hatch opened, and a burst of cold air rushed inside.

Taro, outside, released a burst of white ki from his hand, which immediately melted the bond between his hand and the spaceship's metal surface. Seeing the girl and Hathaway shiver as they stepped down from the hatch, he murmured a spell and conjured two warm coats, one large and one small.

Hathaway took the coats, quickly dressing the little girl. As soon as Ninn wore it, she felt the cold vanish, and the coat was warm. The little girl couldn't help but squint her beautiful eyes in comfort, smiling. Hathaway, too, "hissed" from the cold and quickly put on her own coat. She had no idea what material Taro used to make the clothes, but they weren't thick, yet they were surprisingly warm.

The three of them walked hand-in-hand across the icy plains. The little girl ran around occasionally, peering into the ice holes to see if there was anything beneath the thick ice. Her body was surrounded by an invisible force, ensuring she wouldn't fall into the ice holes by accident.

Taro and Hathaway watched from the side, smiling. The little girl's laughter was innocent and pure, her voice soft but clear, like silver bells in the wind—a truly beautiful sound...

"Where are we?" Hathaway held her husband's hand, feeling the warmth from his rough palm. The warmth flowed through her hand and into her body. She tucked a few strands of her graying hair behind her ear and asked softly. She knew her husband had been to many places in the universe, and now he was landing them on a planet he had visited before.

Indeed, Taro smiled and looked toward the sky. The sky in such a cold environment was always so clean and clear. Two black dots in the distance grew closer, revealing two humanoid figures flying towards them from the distant snow-covered mountains.

Taro instantly recognized them. One was clearly from the old Magic Planet, and the other had the style of an Yardrat. From their auras and demeanor, Taro quickly judged that these two were likely the current leaders of the Yardrat and Magic Planet peoples.

Then, the old friends, the Holy Mage and the Yardrat tribe leader, must have...
