Dreaming of you-Chapter 57: Unexpected Marriage

Jung-hee was sitting in class. She had headphones in her ears. She was listening to music with her eyes closed and enjoying it. She was humming along. That’s when she felt something.

Jung-hee opened her eyes and looked up to see Dong-hyeon. Dong-hyeon was listening to music with one of her headphone, out of her ear. Seeing Dong-hyeon so close to her, she stopped. For a few seconds, she seemed to forget to breathe. He turns red with embarrassment.

The song ended. Dong-hyeon took the headphones out of his ears. He looked at Jung-hee and said,

"You have really good taste in music."

Jung-hee regained consciousness at Dong-hyeon’s words. She turned away. Dong-hyeon saw her cheeks were red and first touched her forehead to see if she had a fever. Then he gently touched her cheeks. Her cheeks were hot.

"You don’t have a fever, so why are your cheeks so red?"

Jung-hee felt even more embarrassed by Dong-hyeon’s behavior. She blushed with embarrassment. She pushed Dong-hyeon’s hand away and said,

"Maybe it’s because of the weather."

"Ohhhh," Dong-hyeon continued, "Are you free tomorrow?"

"Tomorrow? Why?"

"My friend and I were planning to go to an aquarium, but he suddenly made a plan to go on a date with his girlfriend. So now I have one extra ticket. So I’m asking you, will you go?"

Jung-hee pretended to think for a moment and said, "If you give me a treat, I can go."

"I paid for the ticket, and you want a treat from me? huh?" Dong-hyeon said in surprise.

"Okay. If you don’t, then go alone. Huh!" Jung-hee said with some thought.

"Oh, no, no. Please come with me, I’ll give you a treat. Okay!"

"Okay. Tell me when you’re going. I’ll be ready." Jung-hee smiles.

"Witch," Dong-hyeon says and leaves.

Dong-hyeon and Jung-hee have come to visit an aquarium. The two of them visit there for a long time. However, after a while, Jung-hee turns her lips and makes a sad face, saying, "I don’t like it here. Can we go outside?"

Dong-hyeon was enjoying it a lot, but when he hears Jung-hee’s words, he looks at her with a frown.

"You don’t like it! What do you like then? Jumping? And eating?"

Jung-hee doesn’t say anything else. She looks at Dong-hyeon with a frown. She stands there, upset.

Jung-hee sees a couple in the distance, holding hands and romancing. Jung-hee really likes this about them. She looks at them with sparkly in her eyes. They leave. As they leave, Jung-hee looks at Dong-hyeon. She tries to hold his hand. But she can’t because of the fear.

Jung-hee falls behind because of the crowd. Then Dong-hyeon looks back when he doesn’t find her by his side. Seeing Jung-hee standing behind, he goes to her.

"Why are you standing here alone?"

"How can I push through the crowd?" Jung-hee says angrily and purses her lips.

Dong-hyeon looks at her in disbelief. Then he starts walking holding Jung-hee’s hand.

Jung-hee watches they’re holding hands. Unknowingly, a smile appears on her face. Dong-hyeon walks forward. A smile also appeared on his face. He has wanted to hold Jung-hee’s hand for so long.

However, He didn’t hold her hand out of embarrassment and fear, thinking—what Jung-hee would think. However, now that he has the opportunity, he doesn’t let it go to waste, he holds her hand tightly.

Both people are smiling, both are happy, both have the same reason, but neither of them knows what is in each other’s mind.

Dong-hyeon and Jung-hee come out of the aquarium. Suddenly, Jung-hee bumps into a man. The man is not good, she can tell by his clothes and the various tattoos and wounds on his body. There are 15-20 other people with him. Who look like him. Jung-hee apologizes to them for her mistake.

"Sorry, I didn’t push you on purpose."

The people with the man get angry. One of them comes up to him and says, "How dare you? You pushed our boss?" 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺

"I didn’t mean to. It was because of the crowd. And I apologized for that."

Before the man can say anything else, the person Jung-hee bumps into says, "Hey, shut up!" He looks at Jung-hee and smiles, "Are you alone?"

"No, I came with my friend." She replied with an awkward face.

"Okay. Where is your house?"

"Why would I tell a stranger like you my address?"

"Our boss is telling you to tell him the address. Why are you talking so much? Just tell him."

Their boss slaps him on the cheek. He falls to the ground. The boss shouts angrily, "I didn’t tell you to shut up!"

Jung-hee gets a little scared seeing this. Their boss reached out to him, "Nothing. Just want to talk to your family. I like you very mu..."

Before the man could say anything else, someone stopped him by holding his hand. His hand was too close to Jung-hee’s. Jung-hee looked at the person and saw that, it was Dong-hyeon. Dong-hyeon looked at him sternly and said,

"Aren’t you ashamed to harass women in a public place? Should I call someone? Should I call the police and complain about you?"

The man looked Dong-hyeon up and down. Then he smiled and said, "Are you her boyfriend? Don’t worry, I won’t take your girlfriend away. It’s just for one night...."

Before the man could say anything else, Dong-hyeon punched him in the cheek. Although the man was not hurt much. However, his lip was cut.

The man wiped the blood from his lips with his finger. Then, seeing the blood, he smiled contemptuously and said, "That’s all? If it were me, I would have thrown the body away. Anyway, you must’ve been feeling bad hearing this about your girlfriend. No problem. I’ll let you go for this time. But don’t try it again or it won’t be good. However, I’m taking your girlfriend for today. Be good. Okay."

The man took Jung-hee’s hand and started to lead her away. Jung-hee was about to prepare to save herself when Dong-hyeon threw sand at the mens’. They couldn’t look because the sand got in their eyes.

Dong-hyeon took this opportunity and ran, holding Jung-hee’s hand. Jung-hee and Dong-hyeon were both running. For themselves. Even in this difficult situation, Jung-hee felt a different feeling. It might be joy.

After Dong-hyeon and Jung-hee ran, when the people realized they were not there and could see clearly, their boss gets angry and said, "Follow them. I want them to be with me in 2 hours."

The people heard their boss’s words and ran after Dong-hyeon and Jung-hee. Their boss, angry and furious, let out a word, "Ahhhhh."

Dong-hyeon and Jung-hee run to a place where there are many people. Thinking it their luck, they enter the crowd. They both walk hand in hand. Then a girl comes and sees them walking hand in hand and mistakenly approaches them.

"Why are you two coming so late? On a day like today, Does anyone come this late? Now come with me." She scolded them.

Dong-hyeon and Jung-hee don’t understand anything. They both look at each other and exchange glances. However, to save themselves from those people, they follow her. They enter a tent with the girl. The girl says to one of her male friends, "Take him. There’s no time. Hurry up."

"Okay."

With that, the boy takes Dong-hyeon with him. Although Dong-hyeon doesn’t want to go, he has to go with the boy because he has no other choice. Jung-hee goes with the girl. The girl starts to do her makeup. Jung-hee asks curiously, "Why are you putting so much makeup on me?"

"So much? This is nothing for a bride. Just sit still. You’ll look beautiful on your special day. You’ll pose as the photographer tells you. Remember, you won’t get this chance later. So do whatever you want to." The girl laughs.

Jung-hee stands up in surprise.

"What? Who is the bride?"

"Who else? Of course you."

" What? My wedding?"

Seeing Jung-hee so surprised, the girl laughs and says, "You’re talking so surprised as if you don’t know! Sit here. We are already to late. We have to hurry."

Jung-hee sits still. She doesn’t know what to do or say. She can’t believe that she’s getting married today with Dong-hyeon.

Trying to escape one danger, she gets into another? What if Dong-hyeon finds out? What will he think? If he runs away? Then everyone will call her a leftover. And if they get married? Then? What will happen? He now has to get married while handling a case!
