Dual Cultivator with a cultivation system-Chapter 553: Ch-
After the previous fight, Wu Jing took Wang Ming on a proper tour around the lands that were under the royal family.
"Dear, first let me show you the room you have been assigned for the remainder of your stay in Golden Leaf City," Wu Jing said in an excited voice as she led Wang Ming. Wang Ming shook his head and smiled as he followed her.
"Here we are," Wu Jing said as they arrived in front of a large door; a couple of humans would need to be stacked on top of one another to reach its height.
Wang Ming's eyes widened in astonishment as he entered the chambers.
The sheer grandeur and opulence of the space left him momentarily speechless. Richly decorated with intricate carvings, lavish fabrics, and gilded accents, the room exuded the majesty befitting a king. This was perhaps the best room he had seen, and he had a premonition that in the future he would be left speechless constantly by such grandeur.
His gaze swept across the vast living room, adorned with plush sofas, crystal chandeliers, and walls lined with fine art. Beyond the living area, he glimpsed several adjoining rooms—each hinting at further luxuries he had yet to see. The polished floors reflected the golden light streaming through tall, arched windows, giving the entire room an ethereal glow.
Wang Ming's lips twitched a bit as he looked at Wu Jing, who was looking at him smugly, and said blandly, "Are you sure this is my room and not the King's?"
Her lips curved into a smirk, clearly enjoying his reaction. She wrapped her hands around his arm and guided him with a possessive touch. "Yep. If you think this is extravagant, just wait till you see my room in the future. Wait, let me show you my room."
Before he could even take another step, he rubbed his temples as he felt himself getting dragged to a different place.
A few minutes later
"..." Wang Ming looked speechless at the room and then at Wu Jing. She was not bragging; the room in front of him was ten times more luxurious than the previous one.
"Alright, enough flexing. Show some other place and—" Wang Ming said, but the next words he whispered in her ear caused her to turn crimson. "I prefer to go there when I take your first time."
As they were walking, Wang Ming remembered something he wanted to ask.
"Hey, can you tell me about the Sword Tomb in detail?" Wang Ming asked.
"Well, it might not be accurate, as I have never entered that place. This time would be my first time entering that secret realm," Wu Jing said, then rubbed her chin as she started to think.
"First of all, the true name of that secret realm should more accurately be called the Weapons Tomb, as not only swords but other weapons are present there, and cultivators could gain enlightenment on weapons other than swords, like spears, sabers, halberds, etc. The reason it is called the Sword Tomb is because, since the beginning, only sword users have gained enlightenment," Wu Jing said.
"If that's the case, how does everyone know that you could gain enlightenment on other weapons as well?" Wang Ming asked with a frown.
"Well, from what I heard, once you enter the secret realm, that information is automatically transmitted into the cultivator's consciousness," Wu Jing said with a shrug, and then continued, "Once you enter the dungeon, you randomly pick a weapon, and once you touch it, you are sent into a simulation."
"Simulation?" Wang Ming raised an eyebrow upon hearing this.
"Yes, all the consciousness of the people are sent to a collective dream, and they transmigrate as humans, beasts, and even weapons, and how they perform inside the secret realm rates them and gives them rewards like comprehension of sword aura. That's all I know," Wu Jing said, and Wang Ming was immersed in deep thought.
Boom!
As they exited the palace, there was a loud bang in the distance. Wang Ming looked at the source of the sound and saw a dust cloud rising into the sky, then looked at Wu Jing.
"What was that? Are we under attack again?" Wang Ming asked curiously.
"Oh, that's the place where the royal training ground is. Looks like they are still training," Wu Jing said, and then took Wang Ming there.
Thus, they continued to make their way to the training grounds. On the way there, Wu Jing gave history lessons about some of the buildings they passed.
About fifteen minutes later, they arrived at the training grounds, which were filled with people.
"This is training? It doesn't look like it. It seems more like a warzone," Wang Ming said with his eyebrows raised, as he could see many buildings were destroyed by their clashes and there was blood and flesh on the ground.
"Damn! He died!" Wang Ming suddenly exclaimed in surprise.
On the stage, one of the fighters had decapitated his opponent.
Wu Jing chuckled at his reaction and said, "Don't worry, he's not really dead."
A few moments later, the 'dead' fighter suddenly disappeared from the stage and appeared outside the stage with his head reattached to his body, and the person himself looked perfectly healthy.
Not only that, the blood and flesh on the ground started to twitch as a huge light erupted from beneath the ground, and the blood merged together to form living humans again, and even the damage to the surroundings had vanished.
"There's a formation in these arenas. As long as you stand on it, even if your body is destroyed, you will not truly die. This allows the fighters to go all out against each other. However, you will not be able to enter the stage for one week if you die, because your body can only handle so much of the formation. If you die twice in a short time, the formation might not work properly," she explained to him, "and another formation is there to restore damage to the surroundings."
