Chapter 129 -129: Jealousy, Third Young Master Marshall Demands a Gift

Bella Woods directly tugged on Ashton Marshall’s collar and walked into the mall.

“I just don’t want you to meet people,” Bella deliberately said.

Ashton, being much taller than her and unprepared for such a sudden assertive move from the normally obedient girl, took a few steps before realizing what happened.

He simply laughed and wrapped an arm around Bella’s waist, lifting her off the ground.

“You, you…” Bella looked around at the people staring at them and quickly pounded Ashton lightly, kicking her legs to make him put her down.

“Didn’t you say you didn’t want me to meet people?” Ashton smirked, amusement dancing in his eyes.

Clearly, he was teasing her.

But he didn’t take it too far, knowing Bella was shy, so he set her down as they reached the elevator.

Bella adjusted her clothes and stepped back a little, creating some distance between her and Ashton.

She complained a bit, “You didn’t have to…”

Quite a few people were standing around, all watching her with various expressions.

Some were secretly laughing, others were staring directly, making Bella embarrassed and urging her to hide in Ashton’s embrace.

Ashton naturally held her, letting her face press against his chest, and patted the back of her head while glancing at the spectators.

“My girlfriend is young, playful, and easily embarrassed,” he announced.

“You and your girlfriend look perfect together, so sweet to watch,” a nearby girl commented with a smile.

Her friend nodded, “Really sweet.”

“Did you hear that? They said we’re sweet,” Ashton leaned down and said softly.

Bella quickly covered her ears.

She heard it, heard it with both ears, and they both turned red.

She was very embarrassed.

She had never been in public like this before.

Especially with the honorable Third Young Master Marshall talking about these things with bystanders.

As the elevator doors opened, Ashton led Bella inside, followed by the onlookers.

Feeling too embarrassed, Bella remained curled up in Ashton’s arms.

In moments like this, it became apparent how his height advantage allowed her to be a small presence within his embrace, almost invisible.

As they exited the elevator, Ashton discreetly held her waist again, slightly lifting her feet off the ground in a half-hug as they left the area.

Once they reached a less crowded spot, Ashton whispered, “There’s no one around.”

Bella finally placed her feet on the ground, still pressing against his chest, and only after he said that did she dare to sneak a look up. “Really?”

Her ears were not only crimson red; her cheeks were flushed too.

Her starkly defined black and white eyes were shy and tentatively cautious.

So very…

Hmm, very cute.

Like a fluffy little bunny, making Ashton’s heart itch just by watching her.

Regretting bringing her to the mall when he should have taken her home first.

Maybe his gaze was too straightforward, making Bella notice and step back several paces to distance herself.

“Um, I’ll go pick out a gift.”

Just as Bella was about to walk away, Ashton caught her wrist. “I know another place.”

His voice was slightly husky, dominantly leading Bella towards the other side of the mall.

He pushed open the door to the safety exit with one hand, and as the door closed behind them, he pinned Bella against the wall, his large hand cupping her face and forcing her to look up.

He leaned down and kissed her!

Although she had guessed that the kiss would be fierce, being dragged over like that,

When the kiss finally came, Bella was still overwhelmed, only able to tightly clutch Ashton’s arm and endure the turbulent, intensely passionate kiss.

Not until Bella was struggling for breath did he loosen his grip a bit.

“Little Bella,” he spoke, his voice hoarse.

“Hmm?” Bella’s voice was small, soft, and with a touch of just-kissed sweetness.

“Why are you so cute?”

Before finishing his words, another wave of fervent kisses rushed in.

Bella was kissed until her head spun, and finally unable to stand any longer, she jumped up into Ashton’s arms, wrapping her legs around his waist, shifting from having to tilt her head up to cradling his head down.

To make it less strenuous.

But she didn’t expect that the change in position would make Ashton’s kisses even more intense.

Until she felt his hand beginning to wander inside her clothes and broke away in resistance, “This is a mall, we came to pick out a gift for Tessa Sutton.”

Bella hurriedly emphasized.

Ashton looked directly at her. “When are you going to get me a gift?”

“What?” Bella was a bit confused.

“Oliver Hughes received one, two, three…” As he spoke, his hand never stopped. “And me? I haven’t received a single one.”

Bella was amused by Ashton’s divorce-seeking tone.

She held Ashton’s face, laughing, “Third Young Master, you’re acting just like a child who can’t get candy.”

Expecting the dignified, noble, and aloof Third Young Master to suddenly step down from his pedestal, becoming like most men, childish and asking for gifts.

It just felt…

Hmm, different.

“So when are you going to get me a gift?” Ashton didn’t care about any of that.

As long as he thought about the countless holidays and birthdays over the past four years, during which Oliver received various thoughtful gifts from Bella, personally designed and crafted by her,

His teeth just felt a bit sore.

“When’s your birthday?” Bella asked.

“Tomorrow,” Ashton replied without hesitation.

“What?” Bella was shocked.

Ashton said casually, “If not, then today?”

Bella was torn between laughter and tears. “Be serious, will you?”

“Today,” Ashton insisted shamelessly, as if it were perfectly natural.

Bella sighed, patting the Third Young Master’s shoulder, “Put me down.”

Ashton didn’t let go, still holding her.

His deep, intense eyes, usually dangerous and profound, were now filled with reproachful accusation.

Every blink seemed to reproach Bella for spending so much effort and so many gifts on Oliver, yet giving him none.

“If you don’t let me down, how am I supposed to find materials to make you a gift?” Bella chuckled helplessly.

As soon as Ashton heard this, he immediately stopped being resentful and set Bella down. “What gift are you planning to prepare for me?”

“A gift isn’t something you announce beforehand,” Bella stated seriously. “It’s supposed to be a surprise when I give it to you.”

“Today then?”

“I don’t know, I’m busy today, have to attend Tessa’s birthday party.”

Bella, shy and unwilling to say more, pushed open the door and headed out.

Ashton followed at a leisurely pace.

His mind, worth its weight in gold, was now pondering how to get Tessa Sutton’s birthday party rescheduled.

Her birthday party was getting in the way of his little girlfriend choosing a gift for him.

At this moment, Bella had no idea what Ashton was thinking; she was earnestly starting to browse.

Only to walk into the next store and immediately spot Cyan Marshall inside with a shop assistant picking out items…
