Huuummmm.

The moment the doors to the teleportation matrix tower closed shut the many complex runes embedded in the central platform hummed to life.

The surrounding mana grew chaotic, sometimes dense sometimes thin, twisting, warping until the visions of Frost, Yule and Kiba distorted into an unidentifiable mess.

Suddenly and rather uncomfortably Frost felt his body being pulled and twisted as two points in space were forcibly connected by magic.

The process was a lot rougher than what he was used to but thankfully it didn't last long.

Several seconds later the doors of the tower opened revealing a different set of guards far stronger than the previous two. And unlike them these two weren't dressed up in full plate armour but rather something lighter, more open and far less cumbersome.

First was a layer of enchanted robes, similar to Frost's but silkier in texture and completely pale blue in colour.

Following that were individual armaments of silver metal that precisely followed the contours of each guard's body. Every piece from the chest plate to vambraces to the greaves were individually forged, connected to one another by flexible tendons made from a material Frost couldn't even begin to identify.

Every piece of clothing, armour and even their weapons outshone every one Frost had ever managed to get his hands on, upper 4 star at the very minimum but highly likely 5 star or perhaps 6 in quality.

Even more surprising was that each piece seemed unique, forged specifically for a certain guard rather than one fits all situation that was common in such positions.

They'd only just arrived and already the Primordial Ice King was showing off his wealth.

The moment the two guards both of whom were female stepped in they locked onto the faces of Frost and Kiba searching for any signs of 'discomfort'

"Shit." One of them cursed as she moved faster than Frost's gaze could track.

She appeared beside Kiba in an instant grabbed him by the scruff of his neck and dashed out the door.

A moment later Frost and Yule could hear the sounds of a young tiger barfing his guts out.

Frost himself wasn't feeling all that good but he stubbornly held his nausea at bay, powering through the discomfort, because of this he didn't chide Kiba in the slightest, merely letting out a small sigh when Yule looked his way.

"Sorry."

"No problem he held it in long enough." Yule didn't mock Kiba either, such reactions were normal, thankfully the guards were prepared and ready to take action at a moment's notice.

"Whimper." Kiba let out a small whimper, he felt much better after throwing up but at the same time a little embarrassed.

He entered the teleportation matrix alongside his master with his head held high. He heard Yule's warning but like Frost he thought nothing of it. Believing that his occasional teleporting within the dungeon was more than enough to prepare him for such discomfort.

Unfortunately if teleporting from the lowest floor of the Dungeon to the top floor was a discomfort level of 8 out of a 100 then this trip was more like 80.

Not only was the process rougher due using a more primitive rune system but the distance travelled was more than hundreds of times further than what they were used to.

Kiba felt his entire digestive system twist and bend into tight knots before suddenly being stretched back to normal in one single motion, even the most stalwart of individuals would feel nauseous after enduring such a journey for the first time.

"It's ok, you managed to hold it until you left the tower." Frost comforted Kiba with some head scratches causing him to happily purr.

"Gatekeeper Yule, his Majesty is expecting you and Prince Frost in the throne room." The guard who didn't man handle Kiba said in a polite but less respectful manner, revealing the difference in status between these two guards and the ones stationed in the city.

"Then we shouldn't keep him waiting any longer." Replied Yule with a nervous nod, it wasn't every day that he got to meet and interact with the King even at his level of strength.

Just the two guards stationed in front of the teleportation matrix tower were at the very peak of A-rank, the Primordial Ice King didn't lack for talent.

"Prince Frost if you'd be so kind to follow after me, I'll take you to see his Majesty." Said Yule trying to appear as calm as possible.

"Right away? Don't you need to go over some royal etiquette with me, I don't want to accidently offend the Primordial Ice King." Frost could be nonchalant with his father but not another God.

"Hahaha there's no need to worry about that Prince Frost his Majesty isn't one to bother about ceremony, he's very easy going compared to the other high ranking Gods. As long as you don't insult him or any member of the royal family you'll be fine." Answered Yule with a burst of laughter.

There truly wasn't any need for Frost to worry, Primordial Ice King Shivali was even more easy going than Dark, he didn't care about one's decorum, appearance, mannerisms or even the words someone chooses to use in his presence, as long as they respected him and his family during their talks then he couldn't care less.

"That's good to know." Said Frost, letting out a small sigh of relief as he did.

'Perhaps that's why he and my father get along so well.' Dark also didn't care much about formalities when it came to interacting with the mortals of Nova. Sometimes he'd even pretend to be a normal person, casually living a normal life and interacting with normal people. Dark despite being one of the strongest entities in existence never lorded his power of others in the form of entitled arrogance.

Seeing the two female guards nodding their heads in agreement to Yule statements Frost felt less anxious about his upcoming meeting.

"One thing however Prince Frost, your battle mount Kiba is it, he'll have to remain outside, the invitation is only for you after all." Though Shivali wasn't one to stand on ceremony he was still a high ranking God after all, not everyone could meet with him.

"Oh." Frost turned to Kiba; he expected something like this. Kiba after all had no status here in the Realm of Niflheim, Frost was the son of a God, a Prince as well as a being who had met the minimum threshold in order to survive in this realm. Kiba however was a nobody, a weak mount that needed the effects of the crystal necklace to endure the harsh climate.

Though he treasured Kiba as a part of his family this wasn't the first time the young tiger was unable to join in on his meetings.

"Is there a monster stable nearby or a waiting area he can stay in?" Asked Frost.

Yule looked towards one of the female guards who stepped forward and answered. "There is I can take him for you Prince Frost."

"Alright just don't pamper him too much, he's already too spoiled as it is."

"Chuff." Kiba quickly expressed his disagreement, he wasn't spoiled at all.

"We'll do our best Prince Frost." Said the guard knowing full well that the servants stationed in the waiting area would struggle against indulging such a cute tiger cub.

Frost felt the urge to face palm but who asked Kiba to be so cute and adorable when he wanted something. Apparently he was the only one who could easily say no to his big wide eyes.

"If you gain any weight from stuffing your face I'll just make you work it off in the most brutal way possible." Coldy uttered Frost as Kiba arrogantly followed after the powerful guard, shaking his hips and tail in a smug manner.

His master's words sent a shiver down his spine, Kiba's upright tail slumped down, his hips no longer swayed, and he ground his teeth in frustration, his master was so mean.

"Hahaha you two have a great relationship." Said Yule, his eyes filled with appreciation.

"He's family."

"Family huh." That word seemed to hit a nerve for Yule, his gaze noticeably dimmed before brightening up a second later.

"Come, come, come his Majesty has been eagerly awaiting your arrival." With a shake of his head Yule distracted himself from his dark thoughts. He placed an arm of Frost's right shoulder and led him towards a massive door that was guarded by another set of powerful guards.

Beyond the door was a long hallway filled with works of imposing art and a set of A-rank guards every ten metres who held spears in their hands, moving not even a single millimetre as they passed, like immovable statues. Eery yet very intimidating.

Each step Frost took felt heavier than the last, he felt like he was willingly walking into a behemoth's den, a foolish and suicidal notion.

He gazed down at his clothes, his robes had thankfully repaired themselves leaving no tears or rips and he'd cast clean up magic several times before they entered the city….he looked presentable, like an unarmed scholar. Another reason why he felt so threatened, little to no armour and no high quality glaive. Not that it'd matter anyway against these individuals, but it was the principle that mattered.

"Relax the royal guard are here to protect his Majesty and the royal family, as long as you don't intend to harm them they won't bother with you in the slightest, just ignore like I'm doing hehehe." Yule said playfully hoping to lighten the mood which actually worked.

However his words did cause a few of the statue like guards to turn their way and glare at Yule in annoyance.
