Elder Kinston's Exclusive Sweet Wife-Chapter 30 What You Said
Chapter 30: Chapter 30 What You Said
"Enough!" He suddenly grabbed her fingers that were threading through his hair, bringing her action of blow-drying his hair to a halt.
She was stunned for a moment and subconsciously moved the hairdryer away, only to see him lift his head. Those deep, dark phoenix eyes were once again fixed on her, as if they were a bottomless pool, dangerous and cold. A slight misstep could lead to irretrievable consequences.
Gulp!
She couldn't help but swallow the sudden saliva secreted in her throat and looked at him in confusion. "What's wrong?"
He didn't answer her question, his right hand still tightly grasping her left, his thumb gently rubbing her wrist. In Falling City, many women deliberately tried to get close to him, doing all sorts of things in front of him. But no one had ever, like her, just moved his hair a bit and touched his scalp a few times, making him feel this way.
Her looks were acceptable, but there were plenty more beautiful women. Among the women surrounding him, which one wasn't stunning?
What was this all about? Was it the influence of the contract on the Kinston Family? Even if his rational mind was certain he hadn't fallen for her, was his body instinctively drawn to her by the contract?
While Kyle Kinston was pondering, Mabel Quinn was silently lamenting in her heart. She didn't know how she had offended this man. Her hand was caught by him, and her body was tense as a wire, not daring to breathe heavily.
His fingers slowly slipped under her wrist, opening her somewhat stiff palm, and glanced at the cold sweat there. "What are you afraid of?" His low, elegant voice made her shiver involuntarily.
"I... I tend to sweat in my palms," she found an excuse. Was she afraid of him? Of course, he was the high and mighty CEO, the one who practically controlled Falling City. It was easy for him to take anyone's life.
Yet, what she feared seemed to be more than just that, as if there was something else, a feeling she couldn't quite articulate.
"Is that so?" He released her hand, picked up the hairdryer, and began to dry his hair himself.
She sighed in relief and took a couple of steps back, rubbing her wrist which had been gripped earlier.
After a moment, Mabel Quinn licked her dry lips and spoke, "Um... it's getting late. I'll go back to the guest room to rest." By this time, the dormitory had long been closed and lights out. It seemed she would have to spend the night here.
"Leave?" He chuckled softly, put down the hairdryer, ran a hand through his hair, stood up, and walked to her. "When did I say you'd be sleeping in the guest room tonight?"
What does he mean?! Her eyes widened suddenly, hearing his voice continue beside her ear, "You'll be sleeping here tonight!"

"Sleep... here?! You promised not to force me!" she argued.
"Seems like you really don't want to," he said coldly, looking at her, yet exuding an indescribable dangerous aura.
Mabel Quinn's body trembled, forcing herself to remain calm. "When I signed the contract with you, you promised. You're the CEO, surely you keep your word."
