Chapter 170: Chapter 170: Thank You, Brother

Hearing this, Sienna’s cheeks turned hot, and she secretly pinched Silas’s waist.

She lowered her voice to warn him, "Silas, if you keep talking nonsense, I’ll make you pay."

Silas immediately begged for mercy, "Alright, I won’t tease you anymore. Hurry upstairs, I’ve got a surprise for you."

The group went upstairs together, and Mr. and Mrs. Nash had prepared a big table of food to welcome Caden Sinclair back from abroad.

Silas took out an offer letter and handed it to Mr. Nash: "Uncle, last time I donated a library to the school in Sienna’s name. I want to make it a landmark building, and I’d like you to be the chief architect. I wonder if you’d be willing."

Seeing the offer letter, Mr. Nash’s hands trembled with excitement.

All his life, he’d dreamed of designing a signature building. Unfortunately, the last time, he was set up over a bridge project—he not only failed to realize his dream but his reputation suffered as well. Ever since, the design institute treated him as an outsider, cold-shouldering him.

Many times, he wanted to resign, but after so many years, he still wasn’t ready to give up.

He always hoped that someday, he’d get back to the front lines of design work.

To fulfill his dream.

Now, looking at the offer letter, Mr. Nash was so overwhelmed, he didn’t know what to do.

With tears in his eyes, he looked at Silas. "Silas, you really want me to design this library?"

Silas poured him a glass of wine, set it on the table, and said with great respect, "Uncle, your design style is steady yet chic. I saw the bridge you designed last time—if it hadn’t been for the accident, it would have become a city landmark.

This library is named after Sienna and built at Chloe’s alma mater. If you designed it, I think the meaning would be even greater."

Hearing this, Mr. Nash raised his wine glass with emotion. "Since you trust me like this, I promise to do my best to design it well for you."

"Good, thank you, Uncle."

The two of them clinked their glasses and downed their drinks in one go.

After putting down the glass, Silas took out another file and handed it to Mrs. Nash: "Auntie, I heard you’ve always wanted to buy a house in this neighborhood. I bought a place for you—it’s near both the design institute and Sienna’s hospital, so it’ll be convenient for commuting. There are lots of clubs in the community, too, and you can join whatever you like."

Faced with her dream home, Mrs. Nash was completely stunned.

"We went to see this house last time, but there weren’t any more units like this left. How did you manage to buy one?" 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚

"The Prescott Group has shares in this project, so I kept this one for myself. It’s perfect for you and Uncle, and it isn’t far from my house either. When Sienna and I have kids in the future, it’ll be easy for you to help out at home."

At those words, Sienna’s cheeks grew warm again. "I haven’t even agreed to marry you yet, who said I’m going to have your kids? You really think too much."

Silas grabbed her hand and kissed it. "I’ll make you say yes."

Mrs. Nash felt a bit embarrassed. "You getting us the house type we wanted is already enough—I’ll transfer you the money later. We can’t just take your place for free."

Even if Sienna really married Silas, she shouldn’t just accept his house.

If she did, Sienna would be looked down upon by the Prescotts.

Silas smiled calmly and said, "I know what you’re worried about—you think this house will become a cage tying Sienna down. But don’t worry, I wouldn’t do that. Sienna was raised by the Prescotts, and I’m her brother. Chloe lost her life saving my sister. It’s only right for our family to do this; it has nothing to do with me and Sienna being together or not. I’m giving you this house as her brother."

As he spoke, his eyes were fixed on Sienna.

Sienna felt like she was back to the first time she had seen Silas.

Back then, she was bullied by several kids, and Silas stepped in and scared them off.

He even gently told her that no matter what happened in the future, her brother would always help her.

Back then, when she heard those words, she felt her whole heart wrapped in warmth.

She thought that she finally had a home again, that someone would finally have her back.

Thinking back, Sienna was filled with emotion.

She and Silas, after all the ups and downs, seemed to have ended up right where they’d started.

If there was no romantic confusion between them, they probably would have been a great family anyway.

She looked up at Silas, a smile forming on her lips. "Thank you, big brother."

Silas gently rubbed her head. "It’s all my fault for causing you to run so far away. From now on, your brother will join you in honoring Chloe’s parents."

At this point, Caden, who’d been holding back, finally couldn’t sit still.

He chuckled and said, "Don’t think I don’t know your little trick—you’re just trying to keep me from living across the hall from Sienna, so you bought Uncle and Auntie a house. You sound so noble, but I know what you’re up to."

Lucy quickly stuffed a piece of bone into his mouth. "Nobody would mistake you for a corpse if you kept quiet. Well, at least the great food should shut you up."

Caden quickly spat the bone out and glared at Lucy. "I’m not a dog; I’m not eating your leftovers."

"If you dare mess with my brother and Sienna’s relationship again, I’ll feed you my fist next."

"Who do you think you are, huh? You think I’m scared of you?"

"If you don’t believe me, try it. My black belt in Taekwondo isn’t just for show."

Caden scoffed, "I was the champion of the combat team back in school, I’m not afraid of your black belt."

While those two bickered, Silas was busy pouring wine and serving dishes to Mr. and Mrs. Nash.

Sienna could finally tell—Lucy was a helper her brother brought in.

Just to keep her from getting close to Caden, Silas was really pulling out all the stops.

But he’d done so much that Sienna truly couldn’t find fault in him.

Mr. and Mrs. Nash were the two people she most wanted to thank in her life, and helping them fulfill their dreams was the best way to show her gratitude.

Now, Silas had helped her do all that.

Sienna couldn’t claim not to be moved.

She could even put up with all of Silas’s flirting because of it.

Even when picking up Julian from school, the two of them had to share a kiss in the car before getting out.

Seeing that, Stella Sterling, who was hiding in the shadows, nearly ground her teeth to dust in anger.

If it weren’t for Sienna, the one standing next to Silas would have been her.

How could a nobody like Sienna Paxton deserve Brother Silas’s love?

She took out her phone and dialed a number. "Proceed as planned."
