Entering Apocalypse in Easy-Mode-Chapter 485: Closing Gap
Chapter 485: Closing Gap
Graemory wanted to act immediately but she knew she couldn’t be reckless at times like this. Hell realm was already on alert. If she made a sudden move that didn’t align with the actions of the other Demon Kings, she would stand out like a sore thumb. That was the last thing she needed, to become the center of attention.
So instead, she waited. Waited for the right moment to make contact with Clyde. And in the meantime, she gave the appearance of mobilizing just like everyone else.
Within hours of Bael’s departure, her orders were carried out. Her army assembled in the vast stone yard beneath the shimmering dome that marked the boundary of her domain.
Legionnaires in jagged armor stood in formation, silent and expectant.
Graemory stepped forward. Her presence was imposing as their rule. She was wearing crimson robe that flowing behind her, her wings folded with deliberate grace.
She looked over the crowd of soldiers, thousands of eyes watching and waiting for her to speak.
She raised her voice, not with fire, but with steady resolve.
"The time has come for us to prepare for the real thing," she began. "There are whispers in the dark about movements and signs. The Demon Kings believe that the anomaly may have revealed itself."
A low murmur ran through the ranks, but she continued. freēwēbnovel.com
"I am not here to tell you to march to war for now. But you must be ready. You all know that there are forces stirring that defy order and reason. If the anomaly is real, then we are facing a threat that does not belong to our cosmos and brings chaos to our orders."
Her gaze passed over them.
"We will continue preparations. Training will be doubled. Response formations will be reviewed. We do not act blindly, but when the time comes, we strike with precision with the Demon Kings."
There was no cheer, no rallying cry. Just silence and a quiet understanding.
Satisfied, Graemory gave a final nod and turned.
Her generals stepped forward, already beginning to issue commands, organizing their squadrons and directing them to the training grounds.

Graemory returned to her chambers alone. The stone walls seemed colder now. She sank into her chair and let out a long breath, gazing up at the ceiling.
She considered reaching out to Clyde through telepathy but she hadn’t contacted him in a long time. She could feel that the connection was fading.
He had grown stronger, far beyond what he was when they last linked minds. The artifact she used to bridge the distance would need to be reforged, perhaps even recreated.
Still, her thoughts circled the question that haunted her.
"How did they find him?"
Bael claimed the information came from the World Master Bureau. That meant someone from Clyde’s own spies had betrayed him. If that was true, then Clyde had made a critical error that could cost him everything.
Graemory sighed again, this time deeper.
"I just hope this doesn’t get any worse..."

Clyde and Asqa woke with the pale morning light filtering through the veil of their windows. After a brief breakfast, they resumed their grind without hesitation.
Clyde opened a portal to the Ruin. The portal rippled, and they stepped through once more.
Clyde had reached level 530 the previous day. Asqa was still at level 498. Not an insurmountable difference on paper, but at this stage, the Exp gap was immense.
The higher the level, the steeper the climb. For her, catching up would be a long road.
"I’ll go back to the place from yesterday," Asqa said, stretching her arms. "There’s a big one I want to kill."
Clyde chuckled. "Alright. Don’t get eaten."
They exchanged a nod, then split off into their respective hunting grounds.
After finishing their grind for the day, Clyde and Asqa regrouped on a floating landmass high above the shattered expanse of the Ruin. The jagged landscape sprawled beneath them, bathed in the orange glow of a setting sun that struggled to pierce the ever-present haze.
They sat on the edge in silence for a few minutes, letting the wind cool their skin and the quiet fill the space between them.
"I hit level 531 today," Clyde said, stretching his arms behind his head.
Asqa smirked. "That’s nice. I reached 500."
Clyde glanced at her, eyebrows raised. "Two levels? Already?"
She nodded, brushing dust from her hands.
"I pushed a little harder today," Asqa said with a long sigh, showing that she had been through a lot.
Clyde chuckled. "A little harder? That’s twice the pace I kept. At this rate, I’ll be the one catching up to you."
"Yeah, right," Asqa said with a grin.
They stayed there a while longer, talking idly about the monsters they fought and the strange terrain of the Ruin. But after about an hour, Clyde finally stood up.
"Time to head back," he said. "We’ve done enough for today."
With a flick of his wrist, a portal shimmered into being, revealing the interior of the mansion. They stepped through and left the crumbling world behind.

Three days passed quietly.
Clyde continued his usual routine after waking up. But then a thought had been gnawing at him steadily through the days: the state of Sivagadh Fortress.
The fortress was one of Clyde’s most vital assets right now. A hidden dimension he had shaped to be a sanctuary and fallback zone for the followers who now had lost their masters.
Lately, he had tasked the high council there with expanding the space, reinforcing the spatial foundation so it could support more people and larger structures.
He needed to check the progress himself.
On the fourth morning, he found Asqa in the living room. She was seated cross-legged, meditating.
"Asqa," Clyde said. "I need to head to Sivagadh to check on the expansion. You up for a trip?"
She opened her eyes and gave a small nod. "Of course."
"Good." Clyde stepped back and opened a new portal. Pale blue energy rippled outward, revealing a dim, mist-shrouded expanse beyond.
Together, they stepped through into Sivagadh Fortress.
