Epic of Caterpillar-Chapter 2598 - 2599: Medea’s Disbelief
-----
"T-This cannot be happening…"
Medea's eyes widened.
She had never truly expected the leaders of the three strongest clans of Tokyo, or perhaps of the whole country of Japan, to be this strong.
But to protect not only a city, but a country, they had to be powerful, right?
If not, what other horrors could have already taken over this small country?
However, even then, when she had heard that the Vampire Queen Clementine and the Werewolf King Beowulf had come from Europe, she thought they were just weaklings that ran away from much stronger family members.
After all, it is in Europe where the strongest Vampires and Werewolves lived, so it made no sense inside of Medea's mind that those living here could be so strong.
But her eyes couldn't really deceive her, what he saw was the truth.
"They defeated Lord Buer so easily…" She muttered. "His magic, even as strong as it was, it didn't work against that dog?!"
She was left speechless as she glanced from afar, her eyes crying blood out of pure anger and frustration.
Everything went downhill at the end; she was unable to even get Frank or even one of his friends to blackmail later!
"Master Buer…"
She began to remember her good memories with the giant blazing lion demon.
Buer taught her many things.
How to use cursed, forbidden magic when she was in the tender age of 71.
He was a gentle demon despite his intimidating appearance.
And he was also someone that enjoyed talking and was fascinated with human culture and politics.
He was one of her favorite masters, among the many demons that taught her everything she knows and has mastered for thousands of years.
But now, he was not only defeated but killed.
The Celestial Powers of the Werewolf King couldn't be overlooked, he had such a level of mastery over them that it felt like an Archangel had descended.
"How could a Werewolf attain a god-like power of this caliber?" She wondered, biting her nails. "This is definitely not normal! They aren't even good at magic…"
However, just remembering how Buer was torn to shreds even when he begged for mercy, the immense, golden and bright power coming from Beowulf…
It sent shivers down her spine!
"His daughter is that bratty girl that survived until the end too, huh? Yeah, she also had weird powers… and was way too tough, was she? Hmm…"
She smiled maliciously, realizing the true value of these children and the powers contained within them.
"Perhaps Frank is not the only precious thing we could take from them… Fufu. Don't think this is over, bastards."
As she saw Beowulf devouring his master's flesh, she felt utter hatred towards the Werewolf King in specific, to desecrate the corpse of her master to this extent, after shattering his soul at that!
"This isn't the last of me you see… And I won't leave easily either, I'll destroy everything here, and even the domain! Let's see if you can protect this area of Tokyo!"
She manifested from the entire domain, as Beowulf, Clementine, and the Great Ancestor, whose name was Kaguya, glanced into the distance.
"There she is, that bitch!" Clementine groaned, her magic powers rapidly rising. "Should I take care of her, Kaguya?"
"Hmm…" Kaguya glanced at her as her eyes shone as bright as the sun. "There is no need… I will do it myself. I've watched enough. I'll step into this battle and end it."
"Hoh, the girlie's finally fighting, eh?" Beowulf smiled confidently, as he took another big bite out of the spicy meat of Buer's arm. "Hmm, this is the perfect snack to see this, haha!"
"How are your guts not melting from eating demon meat without even cooking it?" Clementine asked him with a face full of disbelief.
"Hmm? What? My stomach? Bah! I've eaten worse things, gahahaha!" Beowulf laughed. "You should try this! It's good! The spiciness is amazing!"
"S-Spiciness?! That's the acidic blood of demons, you're not supposed to even be able to eat that, your mouth should be melting right now!" Clementine facepalmed.
"Don't talk as if you couldn't eat them if you wanted…" Beowulf shrugged. "Here, eat this arm, or at least drink their blood, isn't it good for someone like you?"
"Tch…"
Although Clementine wanted to reject the offer, demon blood was an incredibly rare material, and an even rarer meal.
Her body was indeed incredibly tough thanks to her in-born ability, [Diamond Body: Adamas]!
Therefore, like Beowulf, she could just eat it without problems…
"Dammit, I'll save some for later."
She waved her hands, extracting the blood of the arm that Beowulf shared with her, and then storing the whole arm inside her Blood Dimension as well.
"You store stuff in your Blood Dimension?!" Beowulf was surprised.
"It has a lot of uses, you know?" Smiled Clementine. "What? Want to take a dive there for eternity?"
"Hm, doesn't sound that bad! I remember seeing a lot of monsters there, are they tasty?" Beowulf smiled, putting back his sunglasses.
"Ah, forget it…" Clementine sighed, trying to ignore the idiot. "Let's just watch the young lady do her thing."
"Oh yeah! It's starting!" Beowulf took even bigger and more voracious bites off the meat as he grew in excitement.
"MEDEA!"
Kaguya's words resonated through the entire domain, as Medea's spectral form manifested, all of her powers into a single, gigantic woman made of darkness and tentacles.
"Don't think this is over! I'll make sure to leave one last gift to avenge my master! Hahahaha!"
She didn't even want to talk with Kaguya, as she laughed and rapidly activated all the fragments of her Domain she had scattered, manifesting pure darkness and void from within.
"I'll use one of the strongest spells my master Buer taught me, to show you all how amazing he truly was!!!"
As she roared furiously, the entire ruined city within the Domain trembled, darkness spread everywhere, about to burst!
This would not only cause the domain to explode, but Tokyo City right beneath it to suffer severe damage.
"No, I don't think I will let you do that."
Kaguya's eyes shone brightly, as she closed her hands.
"{Amaterasu's Divine Light}!"
FLAAASH!
