Epic of Caterpillar-Chapter 2599 - 2600: The Divine Wrath Of Japan’s Kami
-----
"Don't think this is over! I'll make sure to leave one last gift to avenge my master! Hahahaha!"
Medea didn't even want to talk with Kaguya, as she laughed and stated her desire to avenge her master.
Without hesitating, she rapidly activated all the fragments of her Domain she had scattered, manifesting pure darkness and void from within, alongside demonic flames.
"I'll use one of the strongest spells my master Buer taught me, to show you all how amazing he truly was!!!"
Medea roared furiously, the death of one of her masters still weighted down her heart greatly.
Despite how ruthless she was, she was attached to that demon.
RUMBLE!
The entire ruined city within the Domain trembled, darkness spread everywhere, the darkness condensed, soon about to burst.
This explosion would not only cause the domain to break apart, but Tokyo City right beneath it to suffer severe damage.
Kaguya knew that thousands of Japanese people, innocent civilians and bystanders would pay the price if she let Medea do such a thing.
"No, I don't think I will let you do that."
As the Guardian of not only Tokyo, but of this country, and as the vessel of Amaterasu-no-Mikoto, she couldn't stand idly anymore.
Kaguya's eyes shone brightly, resembling stars as she closed her hands, and her Divinity Aura manifested, encompassing absolutely everything around her.
"{Amaterasu's Divine Light}!"
FLAAASH!
Light, eternal, blinding light covered everything, everywhere, all at once.
Medea couldn't go against the light.
Her darkness was destroyed instantly, her spell cancelled.
Her Domain Fragments…
Crack, crack…!
CRASH! CRASH! CRASH! CRASH!
One after another, they shattered and disappeared.
"W-What with this light?!"
She gasped in disbelief, feeling completely and utterly hopeless.
"T-This cannot be…!"
She glanced amidst the light, a giant goddess appeared, wearing a beautiful regal dress, the clothes that ancient empresses of Japan would wear.
With a crown of gold and a body made of eternal light, the goddess Amaterasu-no-Mikoto manifested within her Avatar.
"You've made a serious mistake, Ancient Witch of Demons."
Her words penetrated Medea's very soul, even if she wasn't there.
Amaterasu's hand rushed towards her.
"You not only tried to capture one of my protegees, but also to kill my precious children."
Medea couldn't move, Amaterasu's hand grasped her tightly.
"But you also tried to destroy my city, Tokyo?!"
"Uuggh…!"
"Unforgivable!"
Amaterasu's hand pressed even tighter and harder than before; Medea's familiar began to disintegrate.
"Aaaaggghhh!"
But that wasn't all, as the divinity of Amaterasu reached Medea all the way in her own Domain.
"W-Wha…?!"
Medea tried to quickly cut her connection to her familiar but…
The divinity of Amaterasu was already there.
CRAAASH!
Her body was intact, but her soul was pierced by a giant golden Katana wielded by not Amaterasu, but another God entirely?!
"Impo… Impossible…!"
Her eyes widened in horror and disbelief, as she saw the glimpse of a tall, handsome man made of white light, with long white hair and bright blue eyes, wearing samurai robes and armor.
Medea didn't have to be a Japanese woman to quickly know who this Legendary God of Storms and Battle was.
Amaterasu's dear and loyal brother…
"Susanoo?!"
"Don't mess with my sister, or my country ever again, Ancient Witch! Or you will pay an even higher price next time."
With a furious roar resembling lightning, Susano's blade was taken back to his sheath, as he disappeared.
"G-Guuggh…?!"
Medea felt an agonizing pain within her very soul, a small wound left behind by Susanoo's blade itself, burning her dark soul with glistening divinity.
"Aaaagggh!"
She suddenly combusted into white flames, as she agonized while in her Domain.
Quickly, dozens of servants ran towards her, panicking.
"Master Medea?!"
"What's happening?"
"Bring her to the Spring of Eternal Life, hurry!"
"Hang in there, please!"
As they ran through the large temple where Medea was living, they brought her to a giant fountain of flowing water.
By placing her there, the water quickly turned off the divine flames, and slowly, she began to recover.
However, she had fallen unconscious.
"J-Just what happened?"
"Wasn't Master Medea meditating just now?"
"I heard she was controlling Familiars from afar but that could never be a problem for her, right?"
"I don't understand…"
"Did something attacked her, but where did it even come from?!"
Her disciples, mostly all other witches and sorcerers that Medea recruited into her big Dark Cradle, were left speechless, with little knowledge to even understand what was happening.
Meanwhile, back in the Domain where the three guardians were located, Amaterasu and Susanoo's presences emerged above the skies, glancing down at Kaguya, Clementine, and Beowulf.
"Wow… Long time no see!" Beowulf laughed, waving his huge hand at the two gods.
"T-The Divine Gods…" Clementine muttered. "Even when they appear as mere manifestations, their power is truly boundless, huh?"
"Amaterasu-sama! Susanoo-sama! I can't even begin to thank you for your help, even more for your presences here!" Kaguya lowered her head.
"Be at ease, my Shrine Maiden," said Amaterasu. "The problem has been dealt for now, thanks to my brother."
"You don't have to mention it, sister," Susanoo smiled with a nod. "Now! Let's see? Ah, Beowulf! You look as old as always, hahaha!"
"Hey Susanoo! Long time no see, bastard!" Beowulf laughed.
Susanoo made himself small and quickly ran to greet Beowulf, the two men quickly shook hands making shockwaves by doing so.
TRUUUM!
"Ah…"
Clementine glared at the scene while her eyebrows twitched.
"That mutt is the friend of one of the strongest Gods of Japan?!"
Although she said nothing, what Clementine thought in that moment almost made her entire world shatter and fall apart.
"I didn't expect to see you here! What did you even do?" Beowulf wondered, taking a bite off the demon arm.
"Hey, are you eating demons again?! Last time I saw you, you were eating the Wings of a Tengu King…!" Laughed Susanoo. "Since then that all the Gods up there know you as the Yokai Eating Dog! Hahaha!"
"You damn bastard, what's wrong with having some appetite? You should eat some of this, it'll help you get a bit less thin!" Beowulf teased a god.
"Hah, don't get cocky now," Susanoo glared at him with sharp eyes, as sharp as his blade. "Damn dog."
"Eh?!"
Clementine panicked as she noticed the two were actually rivals?!
"Are they friends or enemies?!"
