"WHAT!!"

It wasn’t just Alex that was shocked now. Even Momo and Pearl were shocked as well. They quickly headed over to Alex and sent their spiritual sense into the storage space. The sheer size of the storage bag alone would have been shocking at that moment, let alone seeing it filled with a hundred million spirit stones.

"That’s… a hundred billion Saint spirit stones, isn’t it?" Momo asked. She couldn’t fathom how big of a number that was. At some point, the number became so absurd that it lost all meaning.

Pearl was similarly speechless. He had worked as a clerk before, so he understood what these spirit stones could buy in terms of ingredients.

There were sects and families that spent a million Immortal spirit stones for all of their disciples for a month, and here was Alex alone with a hundred times that.

At that point, even Grimsight was surprised by the earnings.

Silvermist grinned, hearing everyone’s exclamation. He had felt similar jubilation when finding out how much he had won from his bet as well. He had asked the betting place too and found out that he had been one of the people who bet the most, so his winnings were similarly grand.

"Master, I cannot take this," Alex said, still stunned by the spirit stones in his hands.

"Nonsense. I gave it to you, so you can take it."

"But—"

"Don’t argue with me on this today. It’s your reward," Silvermist said. "Besides, I already took my 15 thousand Divine spirit stones I put as a bet. Those 12 thousand are just what we ended up winning thanks to you."

He made sure to say those words loud enough so even Wineweed could hear him far away.

Alex looked back and saw that while there were 100 million Immortal spirit stones in there, there were also 2,000 Divine spirit stones that he had entirely missed because of how few they were.

Adding onto the spirit stones he had and what he had received in the reward earlier, Alex now had close to 150 million Immortal spirit stones. He remembered a time when he would have been so happy to receive this.

A time when he wanted to leave and find his family as soon as possible but couldn’t because of his lack of fortune. How different would life have been if he had found this money before meeting Silvermist?

He would be in the Sky God’s palace right now, most likely, unable to get to the Medicine World to take part in the competition even if he wanted to do just that.

Things would’ve been so different at that point.

Alex smiled and thanked his master. He accepted the spirit stones and placed them in his Soul Space as well.

The crowd was more or less gone at that point, and the ones that were trying to stick around were urged by the staff members to leave. The gods did not wish to gather around with vagrant watchers on the side, after all.

In the end, there were only a few people left on the stage. The four finalists: Alex, Aethersage, Leafheart, and Treegold, as well as their masters and disciples.

Grimsight looked up first, noticing movement in the chambers where the gods stayed. People began pouring out from the front of the chamber, flying down toward the stage.

There were close to four dozen people up there.

Momo gasped. "So many gods!"

"Not all of them are," Grimsight said from the side. "Only 12."

"That’s more than what was present when I was captured, if I’m remembering correctly," Godslayer spoke in Alex’s head.

"You don’t hate them anymore, do you?" Alex asked. With the gods this close, it would be problematic if Godslayer acted out.

"No more than the average person," Godslayer said. "Maybe a little more than that." He laughed a little. "I can handle myself."

Alex nodded and continued looking up at the 50 or so people that flew down.

They landed in a group before many of them moved back, giving space to the gods.

Eleven figures stood tall. Eleven gods.

Alex had seen many of these gods before, and still, his breath was caught. Seeing them all stand side by side, only shock filled him.

Alex looked through the gods, recognizing each one as his eyes landed on them.

The Alchemy God stood among them, of course, wearing his grass-like green robe with his white hair fluttering in the air.

The Archery God stood with her sleeveless robes, crossing her arms in a confident fashion.

The Artifact God appeared young and average at first but carried an air of authority that seemed to contrast with her aesthetics.

The Formation God was a big man who appeared more like a body cultivator than anyone else. He was the biggest of all the gods.

The Puppet God had a simple face and hair as well, but what stood her out was the cloak she wore, made up of wooden bits that seemed to stack on each other like fish scales.

The Beast God was an older woman with a motherly look to her, whose robe was covered in shimmering bees that pulsed from time to time.

The Poison God stood with his ashen-white face, seeming no different than when Alex saw him previously.

The War God was still half-naked, his bronze body glistening in the afternoon sun.

The Winter God was the most beautiful of all women, making Alex feel some form of attraction toward her, albeit at a much lesser degree than what he felt with Shumi.

The Storm God too was half-naked, with his muscular body out for all to see. Funnily enough, Alex felt himself wanting to revere this man now that he was here.

The last god was one that Alex did not recognize at all. It was a young man, far too young to even be a cultivator, let alone a god.

As Alex looked through them all, he finally realized something. There were only eleven gods here.

Where was the last one?
