Godslayer looked at the many gods through Alex’s eyes.

He didn’t recognize a few of them, but most were old enough that he did. The Storm God especially was one he immediately recognized. He remembered fighting this man so many times, trying to kill him, but failing every single time.

The man had not only been strong but fast too. Catching him was impossible, and beating him even less so. Every time he did find someone to use to kill those gods, Godslayer had to run away instead.

He was no longer the person he used to be, but still, Godslayer found himself hating this man. He was just too arrogant as a person if he remembered correctly.

The other stronger god, the one he felt himself somewhat resonating with, was clearly the Winter God. He had seen her before when Alex was in her home world.

It was easy to tell that these were the two strongest gods around. Godslayer could already feel their Axioms settling on the space around them, changing the very laws of nature in the surroundings.

The other gods were of less importance to Godslayer. He didn’t care about them enough to give them a second glance. That was what he thought until his eyes fell on someone.

Godslayer froze as he saw the god, a hundred different memories flashing through his mind at that moment. The memories that didn’t belong to him had a fondness for this person.

She looked so much younger in those memories. How long had it been?

"She has grown so much."

Starsight stood at the edge of the window in the VIP room, looking down at where the gods were gathered. For a long time now, she had been trying to Divine once again. However, the future was just too chaotic for her to understand anything from it.

Too volatile.

"There you are!" a voice called.

Starsight turned around and saw that the Sword God had arrived in the room.

"I was wondering why you weren’t down there," Starsight said. "Shouldn’t you go congratulate the winners?"

"I was going to, but you weren’t there. I was assigned your guard, so I need to stay around you at all times."

Starsight smiled and turned around. "I still can’t Divine all that well."

"I thought you mentioned that already. Did it get worse somehow?" the Sword God asked.

"No, actually, it got better. It is about as difficult as before the tournament started now," she said. "Still, I can’t see anything more than a few glimpses. But what I do see tells me that a tempest is coming."

The Sword God seemed amused. "Didn’t you mention that one of those participants down there was likely the reason?" he asked. "Why not go down and check?"

"In front of everybody?" Starsight asked.

The Sword God shrugged. "Why wait? It’s not like we are trying to do anything too outside of what is normal. In fact… I have an idea."

"Congratulations to each and every one of you on your achievement today," the Storm God said. "Together, we all have come to a decision and would like to offer you the opportunity to join our cults."

The rest of the gods nodded.

The Storm God’s words came as a surprise to everyone present on that stage. Everyone began looking at each other, unable to believe that they had received such an opportunity.

"It is not just us few gods present here who are giving you this chance. These people standing behind us are Reverends and representatives of the rest of the gods. If you wish to join them, you may choose them as well."

The rest of the people made a very clear show of who they were, wearing insignias and emblems of their respective gods. Alex looked around and noticed 19 different such cults, none of which helped him much in telling who these gods were supposed to be.

The ones he perhaps noticed were the Saber God’s cult, the Axe God’s cult, and the Spear God’s cult. Those three had weapons as their insignia, so they were easy to recognize.

’30,’ Alex thought as he counted the different gods. There were supposed to be 33 different gods in the Human world, so seeing only representatives from 30 of them made him wonder where the remaining three were.

Alex understood that the Divination God would obviously be absent considering he wasn’t even in this world. But then, who were the remaining two gods?

The Storm God gestured at himself and the others.

"We have all the resources to help you all grow. We have people that can take you anywhere you need to, and with our status, very few things can ever be an obstacle in your path. If you join us, I can promise you that you will continue to soar."

He glanced toward Whitesong at the side. "Who knows, you may even be the next Alchemy God."

Those words were enough to get Leafheart and Truegold riled up.

"So, what do you say?"

As the other three didn’t immediately make a decision, Aethersage stepped forward.

"I am to be His Majesty, the Formation God’s heir, so my choice should be obvious. I will join the Formation God’s cult."

The Formation God smiled broadly and nodded in appreciation. "No one else lay eyes on my disciple," he said, with a bit of laughter following his words.

The other gods smiled and turned toward the remaining ones. "What about the rest of you?"

Alex thought for a moment. In any other situation, he would have immediately rejected the idea of joining a god’s cult. However, wasn’t this the perfect opportunity to go meet the Sky God?

His daughter was going to be the Sky God’s disciple, so there was no point in staying on the sideline either.

It was such a good opportunity.

Considering all this, he was about to speak up when everyone turned their heads up. He too looked up as well and saw two more people floating down from the sky.

A man and an older woman had finally joined them.
