Even if I'm a Fake Heiress, I Will Dare to Be Trashy-Chapter 54: Is this the Boss
Chapter 54
Shen Yichen usually slept at the company. It had been a long time since he last slept at home, and he couldn't even remember when that was.
Lying on the bed that still smelled of detergent, Shen Yichen suddenly felt as if he had been transported to another world. And he had gotten used to the bed.
He couldn't sleep.
Shen Yichen was not someone who wasted time.
When he realized he couldn't sleep, he started making plans.
What plans, you ask?
Of course, plans to discipline Shen Yue.
He had already written four such plans, and they seemed to be working well so far.
So where should he start with Shen Yue?
Shen Yichen sat in front of the computer and started thinking. Shen Yue's biggest problem was laziness, so she had to be kept in an environment that forced her to take action.
The environment was easy to decide - the newly reformed school was the perfect place.
Next, he had to select suitable people who could constantly apply pressure on Shen Yue.
These people had to be able to adapt to Shen Yue's various antics.
Ordinary people definitely wouldn't do.
Shen Yichen turned on the computer and started searching online for award winners from top competitions in the youth group.
As well as contestants from the smartest youth classes.
After careful consideration for five hours, Shen Yichen opened his phone contacts and randomly chose a secretary to call.
The phone rang for 30 seconds before a still groggy voice answered, "Mr. Shen."
"I'm going to send you a list of names. Go and invite the students on the list to come to our school, agree to whatever conditions they want."
The secretary was still a little disoriented, listening and responding at the same time.
Shen Yichen suddenly said, "Do this well and I'll give you a raise."
"Roger that!!"
The voice on the other end suddenly went up by more than five decibels. Shen Yichen knew his secretary had finally woken up.
After dealing with the student matter, Shen Yichen started drafting emails to invite dozens of teachers.
When he was done with all this, he massaged his temples, feeling a little tired, but still not the least bit sleepy.
At times like these, he couldn't help thinking, why couldn't Shen Yue's ability to sleep be shared with him - some people can't sleep, while others can't wake up.
Shen Yue, who was happily nestled in her eldest sister's lap in her dream, suddenly let out a loud sneeze. She immediately heard mocking laughter overhead.
"Hahaha, I told you not to squeeze in and steal my blanket last night, but you just had to do it anyway. No one can snatch a blanket from my hands!"
Shen Yue was furious. She wanted to prove that she could win the tug-of-war over the blanket, so she grabbed hold of the blanket that appeared out of nowhere and pulled hard!
Then she was yanked up.
Shen Yue was forced to open her muddled, foolish eyes. It took her a long time to make out the figure of the auntie who brought her meals to her bed every day.
"I don't want to eat now, I'll eat later..." Shen Yue struggled to get the words out before closing her eyes to continue sleeping. She wanted to get back to her dream and wrestle with her eldest sister for the blanket.
But Shen Yichen's voice suddenly rang out, hitting Shen Yue's eardrums with an impossible to ignore force. "Get up and drink sour milk."
"Coming!" Shen Yue hopped out of bed.
Shen Yichen: ...
Shen Yue was still wearing her little bear pajamas. Shen Yichen stopped her and made her change into regular clothes.
Shen Yue was puzzled. "I'm going back to sleep after I eat."
Shen Yichen said, "That's exactly what I'm trying to prevent. Aunt Zhang, help her change her clothes."
"I don't want to change!"
"I'll wait for you downstairs in five minutes."
In the end, Shen Yue put on exercise clothes and was forcibly dragged outside by Shen Yichen to run two laps around the house.
Only then did she come back to wash up and eat breakfast.
After eating, she was packed into the car by Shen Yichen to go to his company together.
Sitting in the car, Shen Yue felt like she should be under it instead.
She was utterly confused about what had happened to her this morning. She didn't understand why things had suddenly changed like this.
Shouldn't she just be getting up to drink sour milk? Why did she have to suffer through waking up early, jogging, and sending her big brother to work?
He's a grown man, why does he need her to accompany him to work? She never needed anyone to accompany her to school.
Uncle Zhang the driver doesn't count.
Remembering what Shen Yichen said yesterday about speaking up directly if she had any issues, Shen Yue bravely asked, "Big brother, can you go to work by yourself tomorrow? I want to sleep in."
Shen Yichen was looking over the information his secretary had reported while expressionlessly rejecting her request, "No."
"Why?!"
"Before you start school again, I'm going to correct your sleep schedule."
Shen Yue focused on the mentions of starting school again and sleep schedule, finally understanding what she was about to face.
Her rusty brain started working, and she barely managed to come up with an excuse, "But I don't want to go to school, school is scary."
Shen Yichen's typing paused briefly, and his heart ached a little, but he didn't soften. He just turned to look Shen Yue in the eye and said earnestly, "Shen Yue, I ask you, if someone bullies you, what should you do?"
Shen Yue thought for a moment. "Fight back?" That was what she had done that day.
Shen Yichen asked again, "If they say sorry to you, what will you do?"
Shen Yue didn't understand why Shen Yichen was suddenly asking her these questions. Somewhat uncertainly, she asked, "Can I reject their apology?"
Shen Yichen's eyes finally showed a hint of a smile. "Yes, you can. Insincere apologies need not be accepted. Remember, only when those who bullied you suffer the same pain can it count as an apology."
The driver who had been working for the Shen family for nearly 20 years and had been with Shen Yichen for over a decade didn't have as many twists and turns in his mind. He just wanted to know why Mr. Shen could remember that one sentence for so long and recite it to everyone.
Was this what it meant to be a domineering president?
