"Holy..." Andrew’s eyes were filled with disbelief when he saw the score.

"I thought Olivia’s score was exaggerated, but this guy’s score is almost triple Olivia’s," Rachel exclaimed, looking at Victor.

"He must be at least in the top 10 player rankings," Olivia said in a low voice.

"Hey, do you think this guy might be that mysterious Faceless?" Andrew said, and the girls immediately fell silent.

"Could be, but I think Faceless should be stronger. Have you seen his latest level? The progress is insane, and this technique looks high-ranked. Combined with his level and this technique, the score should be way higher," Rachel analyzed with a frown.

"Or he could be hiding his skill," Olivia pointed out.

"Well, there is too little information, and we may need to observe him..." Andrew said, taking a glance at Victor.

Victor’s lips twitched when he felt three pairs of eyes looking at him with an intense gaze and thought, Damn, looks like they are suspicious about my identity.

Victor cursed inwardly but was not too worried, as with too little information, they could not discover his identity. Many strong Awakeners would start to appear in the upcoming months, and if he stayed low-key, their suspicion would fade. But he was sure he had come under the radar of many powerful people and organizations.

The examiner was stunned and then quickly snapped out of his daze and looked at him with envy and jealousy. This score must be because of that skill.

He assumed Victor was lucky to get the skill, which was the reason for his high score. After that, he snapped out of his thoughts and announced,

"Everyone, go to the reception and take your Awakener’s License. Your rank will be declared after a week," the examiner announced.

Victor stepped outside and walked toward the receptionist. The others who were in front parted, giving him way. Victor calmly walked forward and took his license.

"Huh?" Victor raised an eyebrow when he saw the notification.

"What the... there is such a thing?" Victor exclaimed, seeing yet another absurd cheat. He was ecstatic, as he had many things he could sell and dominate the technology industry in the real world. He was already making plans to open a company and start farming points.

Victor then snapped out of his daze and started walking toward the exit.

The moment he took a couple of steps, he was surrounded by a group of people from various organizations. They had seen the second round and his absurd score and looked at Victor greedily. Victor saw this and rubbed his temples with his fingers, as he knew he was about to get a headache.

"Mr. Victor, I am from Universal—we would like to invite you for a special audition."

"Mr. Victor, I am from Coca-Cola—we would like to offer a lucrative sponsorship to you."

"I am a recruiter from the Demon Slaying Guild—we would like to..."

All sorts of offers and invitations from powerful families and organizations started to bombard Victor.

"Huff... finally," Victor sighed. After 10 minutes, he finally patiently listened to their offers, took their contacts, and managed to leave. He was mindful not to offend anyone, or he would be inviting chain enemies upon himself.

Chain enemies were like this: if you offended someone, their elder would come; if you defeated the elder, then their elder’s elder would come—and the cycle would continue until you had fought their entire organization.

Stepping outside and breathing in the air of New York, he saw a busy street in front of him, with a crowd moving all over the place—people looking for shops, carrying folders, street vendors and shops selling their goods, and pedestrians going to work, with Awakeners still coming to the Association building like a never-ending wave.

"What should I do now?" he wondered, avoiding a group of pedestrians who were laughing loudly. He suddenly felt his stomach grumble. "Hmm... let’s have a cheeseburger, it’s been years since I had one."

Victor mumbled as he started walking toward a fast-food shop.

He stopped at a shop and started to look at the menu, which offered an impressive range of options to choose from. He paid for the cheeseburger and walked outside the shop while taking a bite from it.

Walking through the street, he ended up encountering something quite unpleasant. His gaze was drawn to a familiar group at the entrance of a store near the exit. It was his group of bullies who used to harass him in the neighborhood—Kevin and Ethan.

Kevin and Ethan seemed to be in the middle of an animated conversation with a group of girls, laughing and gesturing exuberantly.

As Victor passed by them, Kevin, always quick to spot him in a crowd, nudged Ethan and pointed in Victor’s direction. With a malicious smile typical of their usual antics, Kevin called out, attracting Victor’s attention.

"Look who’s here. Our dear ’Victor’ came to visit. Did you come here to buy some bandages for your bruises?" taunted Kevin, eliciting laughter from Ethan and the girls, but inwardly both of them were screaming,

’Fuck, how did this bastard become even more good-looking?’ Kevin and Ethan scowled when they saw the girls they were trying to impress looking at Victor with blushes.

Ethan followed up with a grin and added, "Heh, trash. Looks like you have awakened, and instead of strength, your pretty face got even more annoying. Want to have a friendly spar?"

"Fucking worms," Victor said with disdain, and seeing this, both of them became enraged.

"What did you say...?"

Kevin brought out a weapon, which alarmed the girls. "Hey, this is a public place, you can’t use a weapon!"

Kevin hesitated and gritted his teeth, then threw a punch at Victor instead.

"This will teach you a lesson for insulting me!" With a rash impulse, he advanced toward Victor, thinking he could easily overpower the slim Victor with brute force.

However, he underestimated Victor’s combat skills. When Kevin tried to punch him, Victor reacted instinctively. With a quick and precise movement, he grabbed Kevin’s arm, using Kevin’s own force and momentum against him. In a fluid motion, Victor twisted his arm, unbalancing him and throwing him to the ground with a controlled move. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

Kevin fell with a cry of pain, surprised and stunned by the efficiency and speed with which he had been immobilized. Victor maintained firm pressure on Kevin’s arm, enough to cause discomfort but without causing serious harm.

"Like I said—a worm," Victor said coldly, keeping Kevin under control.

The girls and Ethan were shocked by how the events unfolded.

"Let him go, bastard!" As the tension escalated, Ethan, seeing Kevin on the ground, advanced toward Victor. As Ethan attacked first, Victor skillfully dodged and retaliated with a precise strike, hitting him squarely—the impact was strong enough to break his nose.

He gave another kick to Kevin’s leg, making him groan in pain.

He looked at the girls, who were staring at him in fear. "Carry them back. I held back."

Victor snorted as he ignored the few cameras pointed at him. From the news, he knew this kind of brawl had become a regular occurrence, as many people with grudges who had awakened powers started attacking those they held resentment against from the past.

After he went back home, he logged back into the game.
