"Eli, it’s not as bad as it looks," he muttered, a faint smile on his lips but even that was painful.

Leon and Ileana helped Neil to quickly move into the healing hut, and without wasting any time she started to heal him.

Her eyes were filled with tears, as her connection got deeper with Neil, each of his actions, his words had a deeper impact on her.

She wasn’t weak to cry even if she herself got injured, but seeing those injuries was far worse.

Feeling relaxed, Neil closed his eyes and soon fell asleep, a comfortable feeling spreading through his body.

Leon lingered around for a minute and after making sure, he walked out.

His duty right now was to protect the domain, but he felt bitter at not being able to protect his lord.

He should have gone there too.

For hours, Ileana restlessly treated him, taking care and doing everything in her power.

Even after her energy was depleted, she didn’t rest, cleaning his body and bandaging the wounds that would need time to heal.

After she did everything she could, she sat beside him taking his hand, tenderly caressing his hair.

Magnar lay to the side, he had woken up just now and moved to Neil’s side.

Soon, Neil’s eyelids twitched and finally he opened his eyes.

The first thing he saw was Ileana’s worried, sweat covered face, she looked so gorgeous.

"How are you feeling? Does it still pain you anywhere?" she asked several questions at once.

"I am fine, with you here what would I have to worry about, my charming healer." Neil said, a soft smile spreading over his face.

He pulled Ileana closer with his left hand, his face pressing against her thigh which felt soft and warm, despite the clothes between them.

"Hubby, what happened outside? Is there a dangerous beast around?" Ileana knew she couldn’t ask him not to fight and in the future he might get even more badly injured.

She could just make sure to do her best to help him in his journey.

"Not really, do you know about Bogu? They are a strange bunch of creatures..." Neil put his head over her thigh and hugged her, as he shared his experience.

"Oh, I know you will have to fight even stronger creatures in the future, but please put your safety above all else. If the situation gets too dangerous, you can just run, you know I will always be waiting for you, don’t ever leave me behind..." her eyes again became moist as she muttered, leaning down to hug him.

The full weight of her bosom pressed over his face, making it impossible to breathe.

Thankfully though, Neil could hold his breath for a very long time.

"I will be careful, and will always return to our home. I will never leave you behind, can’t have other men around you trying to court my woman." Neil said possessively, her sweet scent filling his senses completely.

"Hubby, I made something for you." Ileana said as she pulled back a bit.

She had been trying all sorts of things with her abilities, and finally managed to create something good for him.

"What is it?" Neil looked up curiously.

Ileana picked a locket from the side of the table, there was a wooden pendant with tiny green vines wrapped around it.

"It is extremely difficult for me to use my ability here, and these vines are even more difficult to create." Ileana explained in a gentle tone.

"These vines possess light healing skills, it can’t bring you back to your peak but can still protect you once."

"Thank you, Eli, why are you so good at being maddeningly beautiful?" he asked with a laugh.

Ileana just smiled, shaking her head, then she put it around Neil’s neck.

"Rest for a while, I will bring you some water." After speaking she was about to get up.

"Wait, I am not feeling thirsty, just lock the door and stay here." He said, his eyes filled with intense emotions as he looked at her.

That gaze made her heart beat faster and faster, making her body hotter and a joyful feeling rise in her chest.

Nodding, she got up and locked the door. She removed her clothes, only wearing thin sleepwear, as it was already night she was prepared to go to bed with him.

Then returning to the bed, she gently laid down beside Neil and pulled him closer.

Neil’s right arm was still not completely healed, he wrapped his left arm around her waist, burying his face into the softness of her chest.

Their legs entangled, as the two cuddled tightly.

It filled them both with love and satisfaction, her softness pressing all over his body, he could clearly feel her warm skin.

"According to their description, those Bogus bring disaster wherever they are seen. Something terrible is going to happen here too." He muttered, his lips moving against her fair smooth skin.

Tingling her cleavage.

"Whatever it might be, we will be together, hubby. If it means death, then I am just happy to get your love even for this short duration. For me, you, this feeling, are far more important than anything. The more I stay with you, the deeper I fall for you..."

Neil had stolen her heart long ago.

At first it was just her strong sense of duty, and then she started to develop feelings.

But it only blossomed into overwhelming love once Neil accepted her fully, and the two got closer.

And just like that, they fell asleep after chatting for a while.

A team from the makeshift settlement had gone out to observe the surroundings upon Hiroshima’s orders.

After his talk with Neil, he wasn’t feeling very anxious so he sent his scouting team out, these people possessed the skills to return from most dangers.

It consisted of just three men, all of them moving very quickly in the blizzard without leaving any trail behind in the snow.

They specialised in escape techniques, but their fighting prowess was pretty weak.

"There doesn’t seem to be anything here, where did all those beasts disappear off to?" shivering in the cold, they examined the ground.

Not a single Frost Bear could be seen.

"Let’s just head back and report this, we can’t move around in such cold. Man, it got so chilly."

The three felt stiff, the temperature had never gone this low when they were so close to the centre line.

Nodding, they all turned and quickly began to move.

Fog suddenly started to thicken, as countless eyes began to glow under the ground.

BOOOOM!!

ROAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRR!!

A gut wrenching scream sounded as the ground cracked and shook, the three men were thrown off their feet.

Terrified expressions appeared on their faces as they looked back.

With the fog so thick they could see nothing clearly but a silhouette, very tall and large could faintly be seen.

"R- R... RUN!!" one of them screamed, as they all jumped to their feet and turned.

But in the next moment, a wave of energy swept over with terrifying power.

The three men were instantly blasted to pieces and it was nothing more than a roar from the terror present in the fog.
