Extra: Yandere Milfs Obsessed with me!-Chapter 151: Kaiser, Julian and Jasper
At the same moment, Julian’s sword passed through a mist of frost just a few millimeters from Kroger’s throat. However, the latter’s Aura suddenly exploded with crushing intensity.
< Aura Technique: Attraction >
An invisible force field burst from Kaiser, who extended his hand. He just had time to pull Julian toward him by the belt, yanking him out of the way of a Destructive Punch that Kroger had just thrown into the empty space Julian had occupied a fraction of a second earlier. The air compressed by the missed blow sent dust flying backward.
"Does he want to kill the students around him?" Kaiser muttered to himself.
A palpable murderous intent then washed over them, weighing down the atmosphere. Around the edges of the room, all the other students were already lying on the ground, unconscious or unable to get up.
Kroger smiled while openly releasing the full extent of his aura. The physical pressure emanating from it cracked the floor beneath his feet and forced the three last opponents still standing to stiffen their postures.
"Oh... You’re still three standing? That’s more than I expected."
Sweat ran in streams down Julian’s forehead and temple; he wiped it with the back of his sleeve while tightening his grip on his sword.
"Fuck... He’s actually rank S."
Kaiser, eyes narrowed and face tense with concentration, stared at Kroger. The latter gave them a small wave of the hand, inviting them forward with disdain.
"So stay back, you losers!" Kaiser shouted as he positioned himself slightly forward, feet planted.
"You stay back, loser," Julian snapped back dryly while still advancing to stand beside him, his sword adopting a low guard.
"Only idiots charge headfirst at a rank S opponent," Jasper murmured to himself, without joining their front line. Instead, he leaped sideways with agility to gain a clear shooting angle. In one second, he had nocked a dozen arrows pointing toward Kroger’s vital points.
A volley of ten mana arrows.
Kroger dodged but in reality, they weren’t aimed directly at him, but at the space around him, forming a tight net meant to restrict his movements.
"Force him to stay in place," Jasper said, his voice calm.
"Who are you giving orders to, elf?"
Kaiser and Julian charged forward together.
Julian, the first to come within range, unleashed a freezing thrust. Frost crystals formed along his blade, seeking to pierce Kroger’s dense aura. The Lycan parried with the back of his hand, sending Julian’s sword flying with a metallic screech, but a biting wave of cold clung to his forearm, slowing his reflexes by a fraction of a second.
That was the opening Kaiser had been waiting for.
<Eye of Perception>
His world shrank to flows of aura, muscle tensions, attack angles. He slipped to the side, avoiding a punch that split the air where he had been a second earlier. His two blades, black and white, traced several fluid cuts; with one hand Kroger parried them.
The Lycan pivoted, but the tip of the white blade tore his skin, leaving a thin gash along his ribs.
"Not bad."
His aura exploded again, a brutal wave of pressure.
Kaiser’s <Aura Repulsion> triggered in an instant shield in front of him, blunting the shock, but he was still pushed back, sliding across the floor. Julian, less protected, was hurled backward like a ragdoll rolling on the ground.
Kroger was about to advance when a volley of arrows suddenly whistled toward him. He had to leap backward with a powerful jump; the projectiles embedded themselves in series exactly where he had been standing.
The arrows kept raining down, forcing him into a series of rapid dodges. He moved laterally in zigzags, sometimes using the bodies of the other unconscious students on the floor as temporary screens, forcing Jasper to stop shooting to avoid hitting them.
Taking advantage of this brief lull, Julian released his Art.
<Frostvine, second form: Misty Form.>
His body seemed to lose its solid substance, transforming into a frosted, translucent mist. He appeared instantly in front of Kroger, his sword already in motion for a thrust.
"An interesting art," Kroger commented.
He attempted a kick to unbalance him, but his limb passed straight through without meeting resistance, disturbing only a wisp of cold vapor.
Julian then chained attacks relentlessly, exploiting his intangible state. He executed a series of strikes; his attacks passed through Kroger’s physical parries as if he didn’t exist, only materializing briefly at the moment of impact.
Each movement was fast, unpredictable and hard to block, forcing Kroger into purely reactive defense and constant repositioning.
Kaiser narrowed his eyes.
"Seeing an art in action is so impressive." He muttered to himself. Then he leaped forward.
However, Kroger eventually perceived the pattern. At the precise moment Julian materialized to deliver a blow, he deliberately took part of the hit, and in the same instant that Julian’s body became tangible again to strike, he released a concentrated burst of aura at point-blank range.
Kaiser arrived and gave him a light kick, propelling him to the right just in time to avoid, in extremis, a punch from Kroger.
Kaiser spun quickly, planting his swords into the ground, then launched a circular kick upward. The professor blocked it, but a series of arrows forced him to retreat.
Kaiser and Julian rushed him while he dodged the arrows that were so precise they left light scratches on his torso.
At the same time as Kroger parried their attacks, his gaze swept the room.
"Where is that archer?"
And then in a fraction of a second, he launched a kick toward Kaiser who had time to block it with his swords, pivoted to the left to dodge Julian’s frost breath.
And instinctively extended his claws, blocking Jasper’s dagger that had just appeared near his throat.
Kaiser catching his breath. His <Aura Farming> was running at full capacity, instantly replenishing the expenditure from his swords.
"I have a plan," Jasper declared, his white eyes fixed on Kroger without truly seeing him.
"I don’t give a fuck." Julian grinned.
Kaiser coated himself in aura, making him much faster, and chained attacks.
"Jump!"
Kaiser turned his head slightly to the side to see Julian appear behind him. Without thinking twice.
He spun on himself.
Julian struck the ground around him; a circle of thick, rough ice burst forth, imprisoning Kroger’s feet and ankles. The Frostvine cold bit deep, slowing the blood and numbing the limbs.
"Perfect," Jasper commented. His aura concentrated in his bow. A single arrow materialized, wider, longer, vibrating with mana concentrated to the extreme. It pointed straight at Kroger’s heart, immobilized.
But Kroger was rank S. A bestial roar tore through the air. His aura, until then contained, erupted in a frenzied cyclone. Julian’s ice shattered into a thousand shards.
In a movement too fast for the eye, Kroger caught Jasper’s deadly arrow the moment it left the string. He snapped it between his fingers.
"Nice try," he growled. Then he disappeared.
He reappeared in front of Jasper. The blind archer sensed the displacement of air and attempted a desperate dodge, but Kroger’s fist struck him square in the sternum. There was a sinister crack. Jasper was hurled across the room, crashing against the wall in a cloud of dust, his broken bow beside him.
"Shit!" Julian yelled.
Kroger turned toward them. "Your turn, lil ice."
