Extra's Path To Demon King-Chapter 30: Chains of Fate
Chapter 30 - Chains of Fate
Argh....
Ah.......
Damn.......it.....
The next day, his training with the butler started with more intensity than ever. The weight on his wrists had also increased by 2 kilos at once, meaning a total increase of 8 kilos in total.
He was now enduring the pressure of the Butler in addition to his killing intent combined.
The pressure had already gone far beyond what a normal person should be able to bear. Even with his monstrous physical strength given by a demon bloodline coursing through his veins. His bones had already broken, yet the pressure did not stop. Which is why he was cursing at the old butler nonstop.
He said it would improve his stamina by a wide margin. So, Axel had no choice but to endure. Since, after drinking a potion, he would be healed anyway. The butler did not shy away from torturing him. Axel was almost sure that the old bastard was a sadist; he enjoyed torturing him like that without a doubt.
The pressure and killing intent continued to mount on him until he lost consciousness.
He was back to normal after gulping down a potion. Then his combat training started. But the butler was training him in what was his specialty.
Axel's eyes were blindfolded, while he was in a large underground hall that echoed not a single sound. He had to block attacks and eventually learn to fight without needing to see.
In one month, those things were naturally impossible to learn properly. But any progress in that field would be extremely helpful in his journeys.
The butler also taught him the movements and attack stances of an assassin. The knowledge of the assassins. Axel snickered, "You want me to become a real assassin or something, old man?"
"Of course, only then would you be able to protect yourself from any other assassins that may target your life," stated the old butler seriously.
Axel sighed and resumed his training. 2 weeks had already gone by, and his weights had increased by another 2 kilos in all 4 points. The butler said in a profound tone,
"The humans are the weakest species without a doubt, but we are the most adaptable without a doubt."
Axel added, "You mean cockroaches? They are more adaptable,"

The butler looked at him with dead eyes. He immediately started beating him with a stick he was holding, Axel shouted, "Damn it, you old bastard."
"Hmph, don't interrupt the wisdom this old man imparts on you," snorted Vargas.
Axel's eyebrow twitched as he wanted to say something, but he wisely decided not to. The butler continued, "You, yourself, are the greatest example of it. You've far surpassed the human standards by now."
But Axel only snickered in his mind, 'Bullshit, would I go through so much hassle if I could naturally become strong while just being human. It's only because I have the demon blood that my body is adapting so quickly, allowing me to carry so much weight.'
"Do you know how much weight you're carrying now?" asked the butler.
"40 + 16 = 56 kilos altogether," answered Axel. Yet, he was surprised by that. He was walking and talking normally while an extra 56 kilos was being carried by his body.
'Damn, no wonder the demons are the strongest in the continent by far with only the Dragon's maybe being able to compete against them on equal grounds, but the Dragon's are too few in numbers.' thought Axel internally.
The butler smiled, seeing Axel's stunned expression. He began to brag, "Do you realize the endless potential of a human body now?"
Axel let out a sigh, 'Does this old fart even know how much he is embarrassing himself in front of the reader's?'
Time passed as the butler's training continued. Lex's lectures have also been stopped. He would learn all the necessary things in the academy now. He was already overworking himself with his training. In the last week before the opening of the academy. Axel decided to visit the underground organization one more time. To see if there's any more useful information.
Especially on the Duskers. News must have reached their ears that Axel was able to enter the academy. Neil was accompanying him to the market. The guards weren't with him. He didn't bring them.
He didn't need to go see the fruit selling lady anymore. He could directly enter the place of information buying. He entered a small room through a narrow alley way, surprisingly he didn't even need to say a password anymore. Axel was already identified as a vip client of theirs.
He was sitting down in the chair, someone entered the room with a hood covering his face. But that face was soon revealed. He introduced himself,
"Hello, sir. I am Azbek. I have been newly assigned here to adhere to your commands."
Axel nodded without any surprise. The reach of the Arclight organization was extremely vast and it wasn't exactly an enemy to the powers that rules the kingdom rather maintained its existence through a minimal co-operation.
Axel stated, "Well, I won't be here for long. I need a communication channel within the academy."
Azbek hesitated for a moment but eventually nodded, "Understood. It shall be done. But I hope you understand to keep your contacts minimal with our channel within the academy. After all, the principal is a dangerous individual."
Axel asked without agreeing to the request of the envoy, "Any more information on Dusker's?"
Azbek continued, "As far as we know, there have been no new events within the Dusker family. But the news of Sir Axel getting into the academy was not taken well by the Heir and Duchess Dusker."
Axel stated, "Well, that's obvious. It seems you guys aren't putting too much effort into getting information from the Duskers."
"I'll use my authority as the highest level of client in the Arclight organization to issue a special commission to get crucial information on the Dusker family. Especially, the duchess and Ken Dusker as well as their plans against my Nomrad family," added Axel in a serious tone.
Azbek's face also became incomparably serious on that note. He stated, "As you know, sir, that special commissions must be paid upfront."
Axel nodded, "I will pay with information."
Azbek's expression became confused, they were the no.1 organization for information brokerage within the Suncrest kingdom. He became doubtful if the young client in front of him would have any useful information that they didn't have.
Axel continued without caring for his reaction, he revealed some information that would be useful for the organization but would not affect the situation too much. He already gave Neil multiple instructions, using those, he would be able to gather multiple resources and lots of money, which would be of great help later on when the war begins.
Azbek had a doubtful expression but Axel simply commanded him to forward those information to his higher ups. The reason envoy Justin in the capital was so afraid when Axel mentioned the numbers is because. There is a certain hierarchy within the organization among the leader's. The highest leader's together are referred as number's.
From then on, they began to be more wary of him. Since very few people even knew the existence of them. Axel wasn't afraid that they would do something to him. That's simply not how they operated.
After he was done issuing the special commission against the Duskers, he left.
The next day, the butler stated, "Young Master, its time we have our last fight and remove all the overweight's on your body."
Axel was ecstatic hearing that, by now he was wearing 60 kilo extra weight altogether. Meaning 15 kilo weight on each of his four limbs. Not to mention in this world gravity is much much stronger compared to earth. Just the habitable area of the Eldarion continent itself is more than 16 times that of the total land area of earth or even more.
It's safe to assume that the planet itself is overwhelmingly larger than that of Earth.
The butler and Axel were in a underground room, the butler brought out another black small parchment and tore it apart.
The moment he did so, Axel started experiencing a soul-piercing pain, and the runes engraved on his limbs started glowing and burning. His skin was being burned non-stop, not only that, it almost felt like something was being torn apart from his body.
His eyes were bloodshot as he gritted his teeth, low grunts came out of his mouth, but he did not scream; he held on. He only cursed the old bastard for not telling him that it would be this painful and glared at the butler hatefully. Though the pain was beyond unbearable, it wasn't as bad as when the demon bloodline integrated with him.
But the old butler only looked at him with visible amazement. For someone who has not even gone through Phasebinding and become a Seeker, for him to be able to bear such a pain without even screaming is borderline astonishing.
He could not help but think seriously, perhaps it is the young master who will be the one to break the chains of fate that bind us.
