Extra's POV: My Obsessive Villainous Fiancee Is The Game's Final Boss-Chapter 108: Ross Or Kuroda?
The golden light of the setting sun bathed the vast field of roses around them as Ren and Lilith walked side by side.
The petals swayed gently in the breeze, dancing to a graceful but unknown tune.
It had been six long months of peace since the new king, Kane Vermilion, had been crowned. With all the chaos and fighting they'd had in Steadfast, they were taking their time to savor the peace. It was, after all, well deserved.
Ren had promised to enjoy this place with Lilith, and even though a field like this had been the place she'd killed her brother, he intended to honor that promise.
So, there they were as Lilith sighed contentedly, her fingers trailing across the tops of the roses as they walked. "This place is beautiful." She murmured. "It makes me feel like I'm walking in another time. A time when human worries didn't exist."
Ren grinned at her words. "You just like it because it's quiet."
She tilted her head, considering his words before smiling. "That too. There are no assholes here trying to steal your attention from me."
Ren snorted.
For a while, they simply walked, enjoying the view, watching as the horizon stretched endlessly before them, painted in oranges, purples, and deep blues.
Then, Lilith spoke again. "Father's still looking for Octavian."
Ren hummed, unsurprised. "It's been half a year. Think he'll ever stop?"
Lilith exhaled. "Eventually, he'll have to. He can't keep holding out hope. Not with the way things are."
Lord Underwood had taken the news of his missing son hard. After the coronation, he had sent his soldiers all over the capital to find his son.
They hadn't found any traces, of course. And they wouldn't.
Lilith paused, staring at the distance. "I suppose the real question is who he'll pick as heir when he finally does."
Ren glanced at her. "One of your sisters?"
Lilith gave a dry laugh. "Probably. Though I doubt any of them want the position."
She shook her head. "One's far too interested in finding herself a husband. She's got dreams of being the lady of the house and being fawned over by her husband's people. If she becomes heir, she'll never leave. It'll be the same people as always around her."
"As for the other, she's too interested in whatever new dream she has. She keeps changing dreams every week and last I heard, she wants to be a mercenary. Father's holding out hope, but I think even he knows none of them are a perfect fit."
Ren arched a brow. "What about you?"
Lilith laughed, the sound without a single drop of humor. "Me? No."
She turned away, her eyes searching the horizon. "I was never in consideration and after everything that's happened, Father wouldn't even consider me."
"With Octavian gone, he's suspicious that I had something to do with his disappearance."
She looked up at the sky. "Still, it's strange. I always thought Octavian would inherit without question."
"He was the golden son. The perfect Underwood. But now he's gone. And Father… I don't know if he truly believes it yet."
Ren nodded. Lord Underwood had been reluctant to let go. Even after months, he still sent out search parties, grasping at whatever sliver of hope remained. But he and Lilith knew nothing would ever be found.
"He'll come to terms with it eventually." Ren said. "And when he does, he'll name an heir."
Lilith exhaled. "I just hope he picks the right one."
They walked a little farther before Lilith stopped, turning to face him fully. "You've been thinking about something. I can tell."
Ren chuckled as he turned to look at her. She always saw through him.

There was a pause before he exhaled. "There's something I need to tell you."
Lilith tilted her head, waiting.
This was it. He'd told Thorn and now that he was about to spill the beans, he was feeling... hesitant.
He smiled faintly and spoke. "I have a secret. And I want to tell you my secret."
Lilith blinked, her expression softening. "Ren. You don't have to."
"I know." He said. "But I want to."
Lilith nodded slowly. "Alright. Then, tell me."
Ren took a breath. "Before I was Terence Ross… I was someone else. I was Ren Kuroda."
Lilith's expression didn't change. She simply listened.
Ren continued. "I wasn't born into this world. I was from another. A place where this life, where this world itself, was just a game."
Lilith's brows lifted slightly, but she still didn't speak.
"The game was called Eternal Souls. It was something I played. Something I knew. And after I finished it, I woke up here. I woke up as Ren Ross."
He looked at her, waiting for a reaction. But Lilith only studied him, her eyes accepting.
Ren continued, his voice quieter now. "There was no Ren Ross before me. Not really. There was only Terence Ross."
"But this life became mine. I became him. And now, I… I don't know if I was ever supposed to be here, but this is real. This is my life now. And I—"
Lilith closed the distance between them, lifting a hand to his face.
"I don't care."
Ren blinked. "What?"
Lilith's eyes softened. "I don't care who you were before. I don't care about that game, or the world you came from. I only care about you. The man standing in front of me."
Ren didn't know what to say or do. The secrets he'd kept from her. His knowledge of the future, Fuchsia, everything. She didn't even want to know.
That was how much she trusted him.
Lilith smiled softly. "You are mine, Ren. And that's all that matters to me."
And something inside him unraveled.
For years, he'd held onto this secret, unsure of what it meant, unsure if he could ever be him.
He'd wondered if he was still Ren Kuroda or Ren Ross, but Lilith's words, her acceptance, settled over him like a warm blanket on the coldest winter night.
He exhaled a quiet laugh, relief flooding through him. "You really are something else, Lilith."
She smirked. "I know."
And then, without thinking, Ren leaned in.
Lilith met him halfway.
Their lips touched and the world around them disappeared.
The quiet whine of the wind as it passed, the rustling of the rose petals, the golden light of the sun as it set, none of it mattered.
There was only her.
And in that moment, Ren knew.
This life was his.
And he would never let it go.
