Extra's POV: My Obsessive Villainous Fiancee Is The Game's Final Boss-Chapter 70: Hello, Death
"Let’s see how long you last." Kingpin chuckled. "Do try to keep up."
And so, the battle between Ren and the Kingpin continued.
Ren tossed the dagger at the man and as Kingpin ducked under it, brought his knee up in a strike.
The man batted it away, twisting to the side, his arm coming down like a hammer.
Ren skipped back but Kingpin was immediately there, not allowing him to go further. The man pumped his hand back, putting all his back into the blow.
The wooden mask of the Kingpin remained expressionless, but his attacks carried an intensity that was hard to misinterpret. He was enjoying this.
Ren twisted away from a blow, rolling to the side. Just as he rolled to his feet, Kingpin’s foot was there, coming down on his neck.
He brought his arms up to block and was almost sent flying. He stumbled to the side and as he placed his hand on the ground to steady himself, Kingpin’s nails, sharpened like claws, tore into his back, ripping through both fabric and flesh.
Ren barely gritted down his cry of pain as warmth trickled down his spine, his vision momentarily blurring from the pain.
"You’re persistent." Kingpin drawled, his voice carrying through the collapsing halls. "But persistence without power is just stubbornness."
Ren spat blood and lunged forward, feinting left before flicking his wrist, sending another dagger arcing through the air.
The Kingpin dodged at the last second, reading his movements effortlessly and countering with a knee that slammed into Ren’s ribs. The impact sent him skidding across the debris-covered floor, coughing violently.
Every breath burned.
"I expected more." Kingpin said, shaking his head as he slowly walked forward. "You made it this far, but in the end, it’s all been for nothing."
Ren pushed himself up, panting. Just a little more.
His plan was nearly complete. He’d been chipping away at the mansion’s foundations, and only one pillar remained standing. If he could just reach it…
Just as he surged to his feet, Kingpin moved, faster than Ren could react. His hand seized Ren by the throat and lifted him, slamming him against a cracked stone wall.
Then—
Snap.
Blinding pain shot through Ren as his arm twisted at an unnatural angle. A sickening crunch followed as the Kingpin released him, sending him crashing to the ground.
Ren gasped, his vision going white at the edges. The pain was unbearable, his right arm now useless.
The Kingpin laughed, stepping closer. "Did you think I wouldn’t notice? That I wouldn’t realize you were trying to bring this house down on me? What do you think I am? Stupid?"
Ren’s heart pounded. He knew?
"Don’t you get it?" Kingpin crouched beside him, tilting his head. "I played along with your little game. I let you have your fun. Thought it would be interesting to see how far you’d get."
He grabbed Ren by the collar and pulled him up just enough to whisper into his ear, "But let’s be honest. We both knew you never stood a chance."
Then the beating began.

The man began laughing as he drove a fist into Ren’s ribs, another into his stomach.
The already cracked bones gave way, shattering under the heavy blows. Blood spewed from his lips as he wheezed, barely holding onto consciousness. His body screamed at him to move, to fight, but all he could do was endure.
Kingpin straightened with a sadistic chuckle, dusting off his gloves as Ren lay sprawled beneath him.
"You remind me of a dog. One of those wild, scrappy ones. Thinks it can challenge a beast and win. But reality is cruel, isn’t it?"
Ren’s body twitched as he tried to push himself up.
Kingpin stepped on his chest, pinning him down. "Shhh. You’ve earned some rest."
Ren’s fingers stretched towards the last remaining pillar. He was so close. If he could just...
Kingpin sighed. "I suppose it’s time to see who you really are."
He turned, striding toward Giles’ corpse, picking up the fallen sword. Then, he walked back to stand over Ren, gripping the hilt. "I’ve killed countless men, and you in return have killed my men. It’s only fair that I know who I’m killing."
He reached down, fingers grasping the edge of Ren’s mask—
Ren moved.
With one final surge of energy, he activated his bracers, using the force he’d stored in it, propelling himself off the ground like a missile.
Kingpin staggered backward in surprise, and Ren struck.
The hidden blade in his remaining good hand sliced deep, cutting through cloth, skin, and muscle.
A hole tore open in the Kingpin’s stomach. A gasp escaped him, his masked face finally pausing for the first time.
For a split second, silence.
Then—
Kingpin roared.
His fist crashed into Ren’s chest with the force of a mountain and the world blurred as Ren was sent flying across the ruined hall, slamming through the final pillar.
The mansion groaned, the foundation giving way at last.
Kingpin stumbled, gripping his wound, eyes locked onto Ren. "You—"
The ceiling collapsed.
Debris rained down, walls buckling, the entire building imploding.
Kingpin’s vision was blocked by the falling stone, and in that moment, Ren activated his coin and disappeared.

Ren landed on his back on a rooftop he was sure he could remember, his body completely unresponsive.
Pain overwhelmed his senses. His ribs were shattered, and his right arm broken beyond use.
His chest caved in slightly with every struggling breath. The night sky above him blurred, the stars shifting in and out of focus.
The cold air bit into his wounds, his body screaming at him to move, but he couldn’t.
Every ounce of strength had left him. He lay there, breathing ragged, watching the sky.
Is this it?
His fingers twitched, trying to hold onto something. Anything. But the cold emptiness seeped in, numbing even the pain.
His vision darkened.
And just before his eyes closed, a blurry, dark hood entered his vision. A voice, deep and unfamiliar, rumbled in his fading consciousness.
"Found you."
Then—
Nothing.
