Fairy Tail Destiny-Chapter 202: Ch : Laxus Arrival
Chapter 202 - Ch 202 : Laxus Arrival
"It hasn't been resolved?" Looking at the smoke-covered area ahead, Lance's eyebrows furrowed slightly before quickly returning to calm.
As the dust settled, in front of the immobilized Fairy Tail members, a tall figure slowly emerged.
The figure spoke in a casual yet cautious tone, "Hey, hey, why do I run into such a troublesome guy right after arriving here?"
The Fairy Tail members widened their eyes in shock upon seeing the person before them.
Natsu called out in excitement, shouting the person's name: "Laxus!!"
With unruly short blond hair standing defiantly and a lightning-shaped scar over his right eye on his resolute face, there was no doubt—the newcomer was none other than Laxus Dreyar, once the king of Fairy Tail and one of its S-Class mages.
However, the Laxus standing before them now was vastly different from the one they remembered.
The once arrogant and unrestrained aura had become restrained yet profound.
His already overwhelming magical presence now carried an even greater sense of pressure.
Without a doubt, Laxus had grown far more powerful and unfathomable than before.
"Laxus, why are you here?" Gray's question was somewhat abrupt, but it undoubtedly voiced what everyone was thinking.
The fact that Laxus, who had been expelled from the guild, would appear here was shocking—especially at such a crucial moment, almost as if he had foreseen the guild's crisis.
In response to Gray's question, Laxus didn't even turn his head as he replied, "There's no time to explain now. That guy over there isn't someone you can take down just by standing around and chatting."
Hearing Laxus's words, everyone snapped back to reality.
Although his timely arrival had blocked Lance's previous attack, their overall situation hadn't changed.
They were still in grave danger—one wrong move, and they would be completely wiped out.
"Looks like an interesting guy has arrived," Lance murmured as he looked at Laxus, who now stood in his way.
Golden lightning crackled in the air, filling it with a faint scorched scent.
Laxus clenched his fist and pointed at Lance from a distance, smirking coldly.
"Interesting doesn't even begin to cover it. I have no intention of surrendering. No matter how strong you are, if you think I'll just raise my hands and admit defeat—you can forget about it."
"Laxus, be careful. That guy over there... even Gildarts wasn't his match," Gray warned, his voice tense as he addressed Laxus's back.
"He defeated Gildarts?" Laxus's lips curved into a slight smirk, a faint trace of amusement appearing on his face.
He spoke in an indifferent tone, "If it were the old me, my only option would've been to run—I wouldn't have even had a one-in-ten-thousand chance of winning. But now... things are different."
Suddenly, a deep violet lightning crackled within Laxus's usual golden electricity.
That shade of purple was faint—almost unnoticeable—yet at the same time, impossible to ignore.
As soon as it appeared, it rapidly spread, engulfing the golden sparks.
In mere moments, the yellow lightning vanished completely, replaced by an ominous, terrifying violet glow.
Laxus raised his palm, the arcing electricity crackling with an ear-piercing roar.
"After leaving the guild, I went and acquired a little something extra. I'd been wondering when I'd get the chance to test it out—didn't expect the opportunity to come this soon. My new power... [Thunder Emperor]."
For the first time, a flicker of surprise crossed Lance's face.
He murmured under his breath, "Though it's lost its original nature... this is, without a doubt, the power of a God."
............
Tsukiyo sat quietly on a rock, gazing up at the sky with her blue eyes, watching the thick layers of dark clouds above.
It was unclear what she was contemplating.
Beside her lay Zeref, deeply unconscious.
"Isn't this Tsukiyo? Looks like you've completed your mission." A lighthearted female voice reached Tsukiyo's ears.
Without changing her posture, she merely shifted her gaze slightly toward the source of the voice.
A blue-haired girl slowly emerged from the forest—it was Stella, one of the Seven Thrones of the Demon God's Soul, the Fourth Throne.
On her back, she carried an injured girl, whose tattered clothing and blood-streaked skin clearly indicated that she had endured a fierce battle.
Tsukiyo tilted her head slightly, her gaze falling upon the unconscious girl on Stella's back.
"What happened to Ophelia?" she asked.
"She got hurt, but it's nothing too serious. She just needs some rest... However, what concerns me more is that her wounds were caused by sky-attribute magic," Stella said.
Though she still wore a faint smile on her face, her tone was cold and devoid of any emotion.
Tsukiyo's pupils contracted slightly as her voice dropped to a lower pitch.
"Stella, are you saying... Ishu?"
"Unless you think that young Sky Dragon girl from Fairy Tail has the strength to defeat Ophelia, otherwise..." Stella shrugged.
"Aside from him, there's no one else it could be, right?"
"...This was my mistake due to carelessness," Tsukiyo admitted without hesitation.
"It's all because I failed to confirm Ishu's life or death properly, which led to today's unexpected turn. I will plead guilty before Master."
"No, I didn't come to hold you accountable, Tsukiyo. Besides, no matter how powerful Ishu is, he alone cannot stop the tide of fate," Stella shook her head and spoke softly.
"However, now that we know that traitor is still alive, even if we haven't received an order from Master, shouldn't we consider pursuing him?"
Before Tsukiyo could respond, another voice suddenly interrupted their conversation.
"No, I don't think this is the right time."
"Garlos?"
Garlos, the Third Throne of the Demon God's Soul, approached them as he spoke.
"We have more important matters to attend to. And if my prediction are correct, Ishu is no longer on this island."
"You're just going to let him go? That's letting him off too easily," Stella frowned in dissatisfaction, clearly displeased with Garlos' decision.
"Then, what is it that we need to do instead?"
Garlos showed a wry smile.
"There's no other choice—we'll have to wait for the next opportunity. Our mission to eliminate the resistance on Tenrou Island has already been completed. Right now, the only remaining presences we can sense on this island are the battlefield where Master is fighting His Majesty Nord, and the battlefield of the First Throne.
What we need to do now is stand by and await the outcome of Master and His Majesty Nord's battle."
