Falling For My Accidental CEO Husband-Chapter 241: Arranging A Date
Chapter 241: Arranging A Date
Ella sat in her darkened room, her thoughts swirling like a storm. She had shared her plan with her father earlier, and to her surprise, he had been pleased. He had even smiled in approval, something she didn’t see often, and asked to meet Kim. He wanted to know the person who had inspired such a great idea.
She had been honest with him. Kim wasn’t on board yet. She explained that she hadn’t convinced her friend, but her father didn’t seem worried at all. "You’ll convince her. I know you will," he had said with certainty. Of course she didn’t know but Charles had already guessed Kim’s intention. He may not know the woman personally but he knew her kind.
His confidence should have made her feel better, but instead, it added to her stress. Time was slipping away. Tomorrow was a big day for Aiden and after that, chances of executing this plan would only dwindle further.. Serena was planning to propose to Aiden. Nathan had told her all about it while helping Serena with the arrangements.
Ella knew she couldn’t wait. If she didn’t act tonight, she would lose her biggest chance. Tomorrow, everything would be set in motion, and it would be too late to make a difference. Tonight, however, things were in her favor. Serena wasn’t coming home, and neither was Nathan. Grandma had already gone to bed, and Aunt Vera had mentioned that Aiden would be here for dinner. This gave Ella a small but crucial window of opportunity.
She thought quickly. If she called Kim over, she could explain her idea in person. There wasn’t enough time to talk Kim into it over the phone. Ella needed her here to see the plan clearly. She grabbed her phone, her fingers moving fast, and sent a message inviting Kim over.
Ella braced herself for a refusal. She thought Kim would need convincing or at least some time to agree. To her shock, Kim said yes almost immediately.
For a moment, Ella just stared at her phone, unsure what to think. She hadn’t expected it to be this easy. She had prepared herself for resistance, but now there was none.
This was a good start. It gave her a small spark of hope. Maybe things could work out after all. With Kim’s help, her plan might actually succeed.

"Miss Ella, dinner is ready."
Ella looked up at the older woman and shook her head," Is Aiden home yet?"
Vera smiled. This question was not out of the ordinary. Ella often asked about her brothers, preferring to eat in their company rather than eat alone. And though the boys pretended that they were not much interested, everytime they were told that Miss Ella was waiting for them, they would hurry up and reach the table.
"He is back and will be joining you." Ella smiled then and said,"That is good. I am also having a friend over for dinner. I might invite her to stay the night. Please prepare a room for her as well."
Once again, Aunt Vera did not think much of this and proceeded to order the housekeeper before retiring herself, leaving only minimal staff behind.
Just then, Ella received a call and immediately ran outside to welcome Kim. Aiden, who had just walked down the stairs, paused as he watched his sister run outside. He winced. He’d hoped to try and resolve their differences about what happened in the office. Though he still stood by his ultimatum, he hoped she would understand something. But it seemed she did not want to eat with him alone and had instead invited someone else.
Ella walked back into the dining room, laughing, her hand intertwined with Kim’s. Aiden froze mid-step, his expression darkening as recognition dawned on him. Kim. What was she doing here with Ella?
He raised an eyebrow when her eyes widened too as if she was just as shocked to see him as he was to see her. He was about to question her when she shook her head at him and sent a pointed look at Ella.
He did not ask any questions for now while Ella, oblivious to the tension, beamed. "Aiden, this is Kim. She’s a close friend of mine, a new one, and I thought it would be wonderful to have her join us for dinner tonight. Kim, this ipolite nod at the woman. He did not like this sudden friendship between his ex and his sister. Of course he was alright with Kim as a working associate but now that this coincidence had happened.. He did not believe in dual coincidences. And so, he kept his guard up.
Thankfully, neither Kim nor Ella tried to talk to him or engage in conversation so he did not need to think too much about it and simply ate his dinner, until towards the end of it when Ella told Kim to stay the night.
This was a first. After the last time when one of Ella’s friends had tried to throw herself at Nathan, all sorts of sleepovers with friends had been banned in the house. This time, he did not hold back and questioned Ella," So, Kim, how do you and Ella know each other?"
Kim paused, her fork hovering mid-air. She glanced at Ella, giving her the chance to answer.
"Oh, we’ve known each other for a few days only," Ella said cheerfully. "Kim’s been a great source of advice fashion advice. The other day..." Ella tapered off as she remembered the reason for her being in a bad mood but then continued," I was in a bad mood and trying to distract myself with some shopping. But getting nowhere. And talking to Kim helped. And then we became good friends."
Aiden nodded and then turned to Kim," Its interesting how you and my sister became friends. So, Miss Kim. Do you go around giving fashion advise to strangers."
Ella stilled. Had Aiden guessed something? Was he going to throw Kim out now? No no. That would be wrong. She hadn’t even had a chance to talk to Kim yet...
But Kim handled things perfectly when she said," Of course not. But the piece she was choosing was particularly grandmotherly and I just felt kind of bad...
