Falling in Love With My Arranged-Marriage Husband-Chapter 308 - 282 Fu Cugang (Part 2)
Chapter 308: Chapter 282 Fu Cugang (Part 2)
Lin Jue’s statement was true; having gone abroad for his studies for several years and returned home with his degrees, he had been staying in S City since then, and it had been a long time since he had tasted the flavors of his hometown. Now at the Ji Family’s place, the boiled pork slices Ji Sang had prepared were stirring up all the memories of his taste buds.
It wouldn’t be an overstatement to say it was perfect.
Those who cook always like others to praise their cooking.
Hearing these words, the smile at the corners of Ji Sang’s mouth became even more evident as she pushed the dish a little more towards Lin Jue.
"Eat more if you like it."
Fu Yisi: ....
The man’s expression was no longer as calm as it had been at the start; he knew Ji Sang could not have any other thoughts about Lin Jue, simply treating him as a guest. Yet, he was still damnably concerned; he didn’t want her giving too much attention to someone else, especially another man.
So, Fu Yisi pushed his bowl towards Ji Sang.
"I want some too."
His tone was somewhat cold, stiff, without any hint of coquetry, but this gesture still surprised both Ji Hanwen and Lin Jue.
Fu Yisi didn’t care what they were thinking, he turned his head to meet Ji Sang’s eyes and repeated seriously,
"I want some too."
Ji Sang’s brows furrowed, and without hesitation, she decisively refused.
"No, you can’t eat it."
Fu Yisi cracked a smile, but it didn’t reach his eyes.
"Why can’t I eat it?"
"How long has it been since you had your appendix surgery?"
Ji Sang expressed her shock at Fu Yisi’s question. He was a doctor himself; did he not realize that he was still in a period where he should be avoiding certain foods?
After the shock came anger, annoyed that Fu Yisi never took his own health seriously.
Ji Sang took Fu Yisi’s bowl, pursed her lips, and silently served him a bowl of porridge.
"You should just eat this tonight."
Originally, she had prepared many light dishes for the evening, all of which Fu Yisi could eat. The blame laid on the words Fu Yisi had just said.
The atmosphere at the table became slightly delicate for a moment, as Lin Jue and Ji Hanwen exchanged glances before looking towards Fu Yisi and Ji Sang.
Strangely, despite being gently reprimanded by Ji Sang, there was still a trace of a smile on Fu Yisi’s lips. He even seemed to not care about this so-called punishment.
Fu Yisi obediently picked up the spoon and took a sip of the porridge.
After this interlude, Ji Sang wasn’t in the mood to care if the food suited Lin Jue’s tastes; her mind was partly on Fu Yisi, worried that he might eat something he wasn’t supposed to.
Fu Yisi had achieved his goal.
The man contentedly sipped his porridge from the bowl, indifferent to who would eat the boiled pork slices.
All of Ji Sang’s thoughts were preoccupied with the words Fu Yisi had just uttered; she didn’t consider why he had suddenly acted this way, and she kept being annoyed that Fu Yisi wasn’t taking his health seriously.
It was only Lin Jue who, from a glance he had accidentally exchanged with Fu Yisi, noticed something slightly triumphant in his demeanor.
At merely thirty, with no family background, and able to socialize with the elite solely on his own capabilities, how could he lack discernment?
Lin Jue lowered his gaze, pondering over everything that had just occurred, and after realizing what had happened, he was somewhat astonished.
Looking up at Fu Yisi, he saw that the latter was also looking at him, raising his eyebrows slightly.
Lin Jue: ...
Is this real?
Was the young master of the Fu Family jealous just now?
Because his wife spoke a few words to him?
Lin Jue then recalled the tenderness that only appeared in Fu Yisi’s eyes when he looked at Ji Sang, feeling a jolt in his heart.
It seemed that Ji Sang was indeed the future heir of the Fu Family’s most, most, most cherished concern.
Lin Jue made a mental note of this, never expecting that this realization would save his life later on when he nearly made a mistake.
....
After dinner, the three of them chatted in the living room, while Ji Sang went back to the room on the third floor to wash up.
Lying in the bathtub, Ji Sang relaxed her body, lazily recalling everything at the dinner table, only then did she sense a certain flavor.
Fu Yisi clearly does not like strong flavors, so how could he possibly take the initiative to ask for boiled pork slices? What’s more, it’s only been a few days since he got his phone fixed, and he’s been eating light meals for so many days. It’s impossible that he wanted that dish just because he was craving it.
There can only be one reason.
He was jealous.
Ji Sang sat up slightly, cupped some water with her hands and splashed it on her face, her groggy head became a bit clearer, and then she laughed.
Now, thinking about it carefully, it seems there really is only this possibility.
Lin Jue was a guest, she was just letting a guest try the food, that was all.
She would not have done these things before, but after getting married, with Sister’s help, she was no longer that person who was especially resistant to social interactions. In her own home, towards guests, she should do what a host ought to do.
She didn’t expect these things to matter to Fu Yisi as well.
Truly a vinegar jar.
Ji Sang actually didn’t mind Fu Yisi’s possessiveness at all.
Because he has never affected the life she wanted to lead.
Like how she will go to the South Sea with Min Yunwen in a few days.
Would Fu Yisi be jealous?
Certainly.
Even knowing Min Yunwen’s identity, even knowing what they were going to do, with his temperament, he would surely feel a bit sour inside.
But still, he agreed.
Because it was what she wanted to do.
Ji Sang’s smile became more and more uncontrollable.
Indeed, being loved and spoiled by such a person, how could she not be happy?
Ji Sang didn’t bathe for too long, after changing into fresh clothes, she went down to the kitchen.
Fu Yisi really only had some porridge for dinner; she wanted to make him some more food.
.....
In the study, the main conversation was between Ji Hanwen and Lin Jue, with Fu Yisi just listening on the side, only speaking a few words when Ji Hanwen pointed to him and asked him something.
With just those few words, they often hit the core points.
Ji Hanwen was more and more satisfied with Fu Yisi in his heart, while Lin Jue started to admire Fu Yisi’s capabilities at this moment.
Fu Yisi has been working as a surgeon for so many years, yet his business acumen and sense are not a bit inferior to others, even some of his views are too visionary, so much so that even they needed him to clarify.
How much effort had he put in behind the scenes?
Lin Jue’s thoughts wandered; lost in thought and didn’t notice his gaze fixed on Fu Yisi.
The study quieted down.
Fu Yisi looked at Lin Jue with a smile that was not quite a smile, asking,
"Is there something on my face?"
Lin Jue snapped back to reality, looking at the slight curve on Fu Yisi’s lips, he quietly reined in his own astonishment.
"Mr. Fu’s insights are truly enlightening, there’s still so much I have to learn."
Lin Jue is actually a year older than Fu Yisi, but in front of Fu Yisi, he’s willing to let go of the so-called male pride.
Fu Yisi indeed has convincing abilities.
He is even somewhat looking forward to the tactics Fu Yisi will employ after entering the business world.
