FLASH MARRIAGE; CHARMED BY THE RUTHLESS BILLIONAIRE CEO-Chapter 295: Rivals 1
Sebastian was waiting outside the entrance to the academic main building, pretending to receive a call, when he spotted his long-awaited self-acclaimed girlfriend approaching.
She was looking way more beautiful than ever, rocking a well-fitted blue denim jeans paired with a white camisole and a cute red knitted button-down cardigan. Her cascading wavy blonde curls were held in place with a cute red and white headband. And to crown her smart killer look was a pair of immaculate white sneakers.
As usual, she was accompanied by her bestie Annabelle, whom Sebastian had gotten closer to in other to monitor all of Sarah's activities.
Although Sebastian detested Annabelle in secret, he tried to tolerate her for the sake of Sarah.
Annabelle had been very instrumental the previous day when she alerted him of Sarah's undone project. She was also the same person who contacted Sarah's parents, giving him the rare opportunity to get to know them and get their contacts.
All that was left now was to meet her elder brother and formalize his relationship with her as the perfect boyfriend.
A lot of students were living and entering the academic building while some loitered around the premises.
Amongst these loitering students was Henry, hidden in plain sight. He was cladded in faded black fitted jeans, paired with a designer grey hoodie, a face cap, and a sleek black sneaker to complete his killer look.
He was perched by the wall of the building close to the entrance, pretending to read the newspaper.
He had arrived an hour earlier than Sebastian did and had made all the necessary arrangements to ensure that Sarah had a fun day in school.
He wasn't about to let Sebastian beat him in this game of love and devotion to his precious jewel. He was determined to set the boundaries and claim his territory by playing the part of a relentless bodyguard without irritating Sarah.
Sebastian came up to Sarah, beaming like a fool in love.
"Hey, beautiful!"
"Hi, Seb..." Annabelle cooed in response as if the greeting was meant for her.
Sebastian scoffed inwardly, wishing there was another way to get closer to Sarah without having to go through her brainless and infuriating best friend.
"Hello, Ann..." He said,, smiling before directing his gaze back to Sara,h, who was chuckling at her bestie's cute way of addressing Sebastian. "You look so beautiful, in red."
"Thanks." Sarah maintained a polite smile,
"How are you feeling this morning. " fɾeewebnoveℓ.co๓
"Good, I guess."
"If you're not strong enough for school activity I could help you do all your assignments and projects. You need not worry about anything."
Sebastian offered, his hands itching to hold her just like yesterday - when he had carried her so passionately in his arms like a fragile kitten.
The memories of the tender kiss he had stolen from her while she was unconscious lingered in his heart like a refreshing scent, feeling him with a deep longing.
"Thanks for the offer but I'm good. I think I can handle myself." Sarah caught a glimpse of someone approaching behind Sebastian and her heart skipped a beat. Her cheeks slowly turned rosy pi,nk, and the smiles on her lips widened,e,d revealing her mesmerizing cute dimples.
Sebastian wrongly assumed her smiles were meant for him as he came closer to her, his heart pounding heavily in his chest.
"At least, let me help you carry your laptop bag. It's the least I can do." Sebastian offered.
"Don't worry, I have that covered." Henry's slightly deep and intimidating voice echoed from behind, making Sebastian freeze for a split second.
"Hello bestie..." Henry greeted Sarah casually like a normal friend, extending his fist towards her for a fist bump.
"Hey..." Sarah beamed, accepting his cute way of greeting.
"Let me." Henry effortlessly removed the laptop bag handle from her shoulder, his finger innocently brushing against her skin, sending a shiver down her spine.
"What about mine." Annabelle pouted holding out her laptop bag.
"It will be my pleasure." Henry cheerfully collected Annabelle's laptop bag before greeting her in a cute way that made Sarah chuckle even more.
"Hi Annieberry."
"Aww... I love that name." Annabelle was blushing from cheek to cheek, greatly impressed by Henry's gentlemanly behaviour.
"You girls are looking so amazing."
"Thanks." Sarah and Annabelle chorused at the same time, giggling while exchanging amused glances.
Sebastian finally recovered from his shock, his slightly irked gaze shifting to Henry.
"Umm...Hey...I thought you travelled."
"Yeah, but I'm back." Henry stresses the two last words, his emphasis on the word 'back' indirectly saying, back off.
"I heard what happened, yesterday. Thanks for taking care of my bestie." Henry patted Sebastian on the shoulder like a younger brother while gesturing for the ladies to follow his lead.
"Bestie...." Sebastian muttered under his breath, gritting his teeth. "Wait up guys." He ran after them, seeing that they had left him behind.
When they stepped into the lecture hall, it was already half-filled with students. Somewhere standing and chatting boisterously. While others seemed busy reviewing some papers together.
However, immediately, a pretty, slim tall, dark-haired girl caught sight of Sarah and Sebastian following closely behind. All her features stiffened, and her gaze turned vicious.
This pretty girl was named Cassandra, and she had been Sebastian's secret girlfriend for more than a year until they recently broke up within the same period Sarah got transferred to that school.
Cassandra was hoping to slowly win back Sebastian's heart without making a public scene.
But after yesterday's fainting episode that instigated a hot gossip about Sarah becoming Sebastian's new girlfriend, Cassandra knew she had to do something to get her man back.
"Hey look...it's the fragile kitten with the fainting spell!" Cassandra called out dramatically, instantly capturing everyone's attention.
"What!" Sarah's eyes widened in shock. She couldn't believe that someone just called her a fragile kitten in a class filled with more than twenty students. She could see some of the students pointing, whispering to each other and laughing at her. While others seemed sorry for her.
