Flip the Coin [BL]-Chapter 110 - . The beginning
Chapter 110 - 110. The beginning
"Henry!" His mother on the ground screamed, but Henry, who came to my side, did not acknowledge her.
Henrietta turned to us, and came down from the cave wall.

"Long time no see." She softly said. Being clearly years older than the last time, the time difference got them, and who knows what they went through?
Well, I will know soon.
"Grandma. I want a bit of privacy, how about you get your gun out and accompany the others?" I said, not averting my eyes from Henrietta. She had no dead look on her face anymore, there were no bags under her eyes, and she was not at all expressionless anymore. For example, I could see that she didn't want me to be here, that was clear as day.
Ha. Henrietta, Henrietta, wasn't it you who had approached me first?
My grandmother took her gun out and pointed at the group that wanted to catch up with us.
"Let's allow them to talk." She said, and motioned for them to go back. There was shock on the faces of the group, but they still obeyed.
I made a step towards Henrietta and saw her making a hurried step back.
Thought so.
"Henry, I want to get my hands on your sister. What are you saying? Do you approve of it.....or not so much?" I chuckled, ready to kill him if he took her side.
"Understood." Henry sidestepped me and walked to Henrietta, grabbing her and lifting her up.
"NO! LET ME GO! I DON'T WANT TO!" She screamed, and her father stood up.
"What is going on here?"
"Step back." Henry snapped at him, and the old man froze.
Henrietta tried with all her might to free herself, but was unsuccessful.
Mhm, she was not the only one that had leveled up.
When she was in front of me, I didn't waste any time.
"NO!" She screamed when I grabbed her hand and flipped the coin, chanting,
'Show me the beginning.'
Back of my hand, gold, real past of Emilia Henrietta Devin.
Eyes, ears, and heart uncovered.
"Can you hear me?"

"Let me tell you a story."
"You are a child, I know, but you understand things, don't you?"
"Adults always seem to forget, but children are cleverer than they seem, and they can understand more than enough. Now to my story."
"My name is Emilia, just like your name. You and I are the same."
"One day, I heard a voice. It was in my head, speaking to me. It told me about other worlds, about other Emilias, and each of them have their own appearances. Beautiful, isn't it?"
"The voice told me a story, like I am doing it with you; you just have to listen, like I did."
"It is unclear to us why it started, but we have the ability to communicate with each other. We are like sisters; do you understand? Naturally, you do; you are a clever one."
"While I grew up, the voice inside my head helped me; it steered me in the right direction, similar to a trusted ally."
"Now I want to become the same for you; are you alright with that?"
"Good! Allow me to explain how it works, how the world does; it is a fascinating place. What I am about to tell you is a secret, okay?"
"Do you have ambiguous images in your world?"
"Allow me to explain. It is a picture that contains two different pictures. At first glance, you see just one, let's say a vase. But if you change your point of view, another picture is visible—let's say a face. The face was there the whole time; you just weren't aware of it. The moment you become aware, you can't unsee it. This is how everything works."
"Cool, right?"
"It is like this with our ability to communicate; just somehow I became aware of you, and for that reason, we have a link between us; therefore, we can talk."
"Awareness is the key between the worlds, and it is also our link to each other."
"The world consists of many different layers; everything happens simultaneously and also does not. There is no linear concept, and now the interesting part starts."
"Why is there someone connected to us in each world? We think that, after every soul had been born, they had been split into many different parts. Each of these parts had been disrupted to each of these many, many worlds."
"And, I think that these parts are what glues these different layers together."
"There is another reason I am talking to you, and that is because I need you to promise me something."
"Never ever tamper with the glue. That we have the ability to become aware, also means that we have the responsibility to feign ignorance. Do you understand that? It is very important."
"Well, it doesn't matter. Even if you don't, I will be with you, and I will repeat it until you have understood, little one."

"Can you hear me? How was your day, little one?"
"Yes! Good!" A little girl is dangling her feet on the couch and answers. She watches cartoons while a male, identical looking child sits on the floor, playing with a game console. He has earphones in his ears, the sound of his game can be heard even from outside, matching the cartoon somewhat.
"What did you do today?" The voice in her head asks.
"The teacher told us to draw what we want to become in the future!" The girl smiles.
"Oh, and what did you draw, little one?"
"I want to become a pilot!" She puffs up her chest.
"That is a good choice! I bet you will make a magnificent pilot! I'd love to see that!"
"I want to see you too!" The little girl purses her lips, looking sad.
"Oh, now that's sweet of you! You know what I always tell you, you haven't forgotten, right? That we can hear each other is already a miracle, little one, and it's important we remain like this! However, I am delighted that I became aware of you."
"Me too!"

A family exits a cinema, the mother looks at her husband in reproach.
"The movie was restricted..."
Her husband sighs.
"I know, I know. But it's about superheroes! And the kids didn't seemed scared! Additionally, they did let us inside, didn't they?"
"If they don't sleep tonight, you are in charge."
"Yes, yes..."
The little girl holding her mother's hand raises her head abruptly, looking in a specific direction. The mother notices and shakes her hand.
"What's wrong, Emilia? Have you seen something interesting?" She asks.
The girl nodded.
"I can feel her." She points in the direction she was looking at.
"What do you mean? Who are you feeling?"
"Emilia, she is there. It feels the same as when she talks to me, it comes from that place."
The mother looked at the newly built district down the street, and at the skyscraper that was just a raw construct, before looking at her husband in confusion.
"But you are Emilia." Her husband points out.
"No, the other one! I want to go there, let's go!" The child pulls her mother's hand.
"Do we have time before she starts ballet?" The father asks his wife.
After taking a look at her watch, she answers.
"Yes, let's go, but not for all too long."
The mother follows her, while the father turns to his son, who looks at the movie posters in front of the cinema.
"Hannibal, let's go!"
They stroll there for about twenty minutes, the mother meanwhile trying to understand what her girl is talking about.
"Who is the other Emilia? A friend?"
"Yes, my big sister." The girl nods proudly.
"Did we have another child?" The father jokes, and the mother leans to him, whispering,
"Is it an imaginary friend?"
They shrug and come closer to the newly built district. The street was not yet renovated, and it was the same old one, they had started with the office buildings first.
"Where exactly is your friend?" The mother asks.
The girl points in between the houses, at the forest behind them.
"It feels like her in that forest, maybe it's a layer."
The mother is even more puzzled and looks at her husband, who was busy getting his son away from the game console he had taken out while walking.
"Hannibal, look! It's a big crane." The father says loudly, motioning to the skyscraper that was right beside them now.
