Flip the Coin [BL]-Chapter 113 - . The way back home
Chapter 113 - 113. The way back home
"Kenny, are you alright?" Henry's voice sliced through his sister's screams.
I wiped my nose and found that I bled, and not just a bit.
"I'm nearly finished." After giving Henrietta a grin, which irritated her into silence, I again flipped the coin.

After Henrietta was unsuccessful in attacking her brother when he left the parallel world, though at least he and Kenny were gone, she noticed that the portal had finally closed. She told her parents that their son had made it out of this strange world. They were again heartbroken. They only just saw him again after believing he was dead, and now he was gone once more?
In the parallel world, Kenny2 really survived and was brought out of their apartment by his brother.

Time went by, and the people started to hunt the monsters, eating them and surviving on their flesh. Kenny2 laid low, and the Howard and Devin family did not cross paths again.

Then something changed again. On a normal day, where a few people had gathered in the street of this little city, trading flesh for other necessities or handiwork, a young man walked down the street.
He walked towards the massive fire pit that had been built in the middle of the little city, where a few occupants were grilling their meat.
Instead of stopping, he stepped into the flames, and as if he didn't feel the burning heat, he remained there. There were screams, and a few tried to save him, but they were unable to, watching on as he burned alive.
When he was dead, everyone could see two shadowy figures exiting his body.

More grotesque suicides happened. First the humans would turn weird, violent, or crazy, then they would walk around in a daze, until finally killing themselves. Each time, two shadowy figures emerged from their bodies and dispersed, ultimately attacking someone else again.

The people who survived, and there weren't many, locked themselves inside their homes after finally having started to live 'normally' again, too fearful of such grisly deaths. Some succumbed to hunger, some getting caught by the new fiend.

After a lot of training, Henrietta seldomly managed to open a small portal, small enough to grab food from random worlds, but nothing more. She was too weak to get her parents out of here or to even cross herself.
They were scared—oh so scared of the shadows, that even their own was nothing more than frightening.

Coming back, I laughed. Finally, I was able to let go of her. The physical contact with her was just sickening.
"Magnificent, Henrietta. What the actual fuck?" I looked at her while holding my sleeve against my bleeding nose. I felt dizzy and drained, but at least I could see that she had understood an important fact: I knew every one of her glamorous deeds.
"So? What are you going to do?" Her expression displayed her wish for me to die, but I didn't take it personally, I also wanted her to die on the spot.
"Simple." I stepped back and walked to her father, who looked at me in surprise. I conjured up my gun and pointed it at him.
"Close the portal, Henrietta." I knew it would come to this, DAMN IT!
The moment I saw the shadowy figures, I had already anticipated that they were threats that we couldn't let evade our own world. And now, after seeing that when one shadow entered a body, two would emerge from the victim after its death, it was confirmed. These things were not only deadly, they also grew by one after they were done.
Henrietta's mother screamed before starting to beg me to let her husband go.
"Young man...." Her father started, but after I waved my gun at him he was silenced together with his wife, who covered her mouth with her hands to hold her cries back.
Henry looked perplexed, but did neither let go of his sister, nor did he attempt to stop me.
"What do you mean by 'close the portal'?" A scream from the red-haired girl came from the passage of the cave, where my grandmother still watched over. More yelling followed. Even if they were a bit away, they were able to hear us. At least they were not in my face.
"Grandma, ANYONE WHO STEPS FORWARD WILL BE EXECUTED."
"DON'T SCREAM! And, I don't need you to tell me that. What do you think you are doing right now?"
"What's necessary."
"Fine." She sighed at her bratty grandson acting up.
"TAKE THAT GUN AWAY FROM MY FATHER!" Henrietta screamed after the initial shock.
"Close the portal, and I will bring everyone to a mansion full of food."
"NO!"
"Henrietta. Didn't you say that it didn't matter in which world you are in? The most important is that you got your parents? YOU HAVE THEM NOW! CLOSE THE PORTAL!"
She fell silent, her body shaking in frustration.
"We have food for years here! There won't be any starving again! NOW CLOSE THE FUCKING PORTAL!"
Henry grabbed the back of her neck.
"Do as he says. He will kill your parents otherwise, and isn't it difficult to get another pair?" He smiled chillingly. Henry should be able to tell that my gun had no magazine in it, but I would change the fact if Henrietta remained stubborn.
I would even kill her father and threaten her with her mother if it were necessary. These were the shitty decisions I didn't want to make.
"IF I CLOSE IT, WE WON'T GET OUT EVER AGAIN! IT WILL DRAIN MY STRENGTH COMPLETELY!"
"The portal will open again. Do you think I want to stay here? But you have brought a few dangerous friends, and we wouldn't want them to infiltrate our world, would we? Close it NOW."
She hung her head and, after contemplating, tried to bargain with me.
"Will you stay silent over what you have seen if I do it?"
I chuckled. I put the hand that was not holding the gun away from my face; the nosebleed had slowly stopped; the weakness and headache didn't lessen, though.
"No. But I won't tell your parents."
"I don't even know if I can do it." She said softly, her face morphing into a stiff mask.
"Do your best." I scoffed. She had managed to rip a hole into quite a few worlds, layers, so I had plenty of faith in her ability.
"Henry, let her go." Henry stepped back, and I motioned for him to come to my side. I put the gun behind my back and conjured up two needles, resting my ability before conjuring up the gun again.
I gave it to him.
"If she tries any tricks, shoot her father."
Henry nodded, and under the terrified eyes of his parents, he pressed the gun against his father's temple, whispering something in his ear.
Henrietta again trembled in hatred, and I was happy that there were no stones lying around here. The glowing stones were deeply rooted into the earth, so my head was safe.
I conjured up the ladder, and Henrietta stared at it for a few seconds, while I put it against the cave wall. I motioned for her to continue, omitting the time limit. If she falls, she falls, but I won't disclose my weakness as long as it is not absolutely necessary.
"Climb up and sit on this rock there." There was a little plateau in the wall. One second thought, if she falls down before closing the portal, it wouldn't be good either.
She climbed up the ladder and did as told, and when she was distracted, I conjured up a needle, the gun and ladder disappearing.
Henry cleverly stepped in front of his father, his back facing us, so that Henrietta wouldn't notice that he wasn't threatened at gunpoint anymore, even if she looked down.
She made a hand motion, this time not pulling down an imaginary zipper because the portal was so much bigger.
She started to sweat, and after a some time passed, we all felt the air changing.
"Finished."
I conjured the ladder back up, and she climbed down weakly, falling on the ground at the end.
I sidestepped her and could also feel it.
It was sealed, the way home was barred.
