Apart from that agreement, Purple Summers didn’t think there was anything else to discuss with Nathaniel Summers.
Purple Summers asked, “What’s the matter?”
“We’ll talk when we meet,” Nathaniel replied.
He had arranged a meeting with Purple Summers but refused to say what it was about, so Purple Summers wasn’t very eager to go.
“I don’t have time recently. I’ve just graduated; there are a lot of parties,” Purple Summers said, frowning and making an excuse.
Nathaniel’s voice grew even colder, “I have news about Mr. Ghost Hayes.”
Purple Summers’ expression changed slightly.
She had always wanted to find Mr. Ghost Hayes!
Not only did she want to find Mr. Ghost Hayes, but Alexander Summers was also looking for him! However, Mr. Ghost Hayes was elusive and good at hiding his identity. After so much time, they still hadn’t found him.
Purple Summers quickly weighed the pros and cons in her mind.
“Where shall we meet?” Purple Summers suppressed all emotion, her voice steady. She didn’t want Nathaniel to think she was eager, which would put her at a disadvantage in the conversation.
Nathaniel said, “Tonight at six, Aromatica Restaurant on Golden Street.”
After finishing, he hung up the phone.
Purple Summers held her phone, her thoughts lingering on Nathaniel’s words.
How did Nathaniel get news of Mr. Ghost Hayes? How credible was his information? Did he want to make another deal with her using this information?
Regardless, as it concerned Mr. Ghost Hayes, it was worth the trip for Purple Summers.
By the time Alexander Summers came out of the psychiatrist’s treatment room, it was already four-thirty in the afternoon.
His memory was now incomplete, and Purple Summers wasn’t sure if he still remembered Mr. Ghost Hayes, so she briefly explained the situation to him to avoid any unwarranted jealousy.
“Mr. Ghost Hayes is a mage you’ve always been looking for… Although I’m quite reluctant to deal with Nathaniel, he’s now willing to provide a clue. I think we can use this opportunity without avoiding it,” Purple Summers said.
Alexander was in a good mood today. Knowing that Purple Summers was going to meet with Nathaniel, he didn’t get angry.
“I’ll accompany you,” Alexander said, smiling and stroking her head.
Purple Summers smiled with a curl on her lips, “Of course, you’ll accompany me, you’re my bodyguard after all.”
They went to the restaurant Nathaniel had mentioned.
To their surprise, the restaurant had been booked out, with no other customers inside.
Just as Purple Summers was about to get out of the car, she was suddenly pulled back in by Alexander—his strength was immense, and she fell into his arms. Before she could regain her senses, a fervent kiss enveloped her.
The kiss was intense, roaming from her tender lips to her snowy neck, nibbling and biting fervently as if he would devour her in the next moment.
Purple Summers timidly responded to him, amusingly thinking to herself: Pretending to be generous, but he’s obviously jealous…
After they finished, Alexander held her face and instructed, “Come out early after you’re done. I’ll be waiting for you outside.”
Nathaniel knew Alexander, and wouldn’t fail to recognize him just because he was wearing sunglasses.
Purple Summers brought two other bodyguards with her into the restaurant, leaving the rest outside.
The lighting in the restaurant was dim.
Such a French restaurant usually emphasizes ambiance, veering towards the dim. Only above the dining tables hang artistic glass chandeliers, casting a warm glow on the food that makes the color of the wine even more enticing and the atmosphere more peaceful and intimate.
As soon as Purple Summers entered, she couldn’t help but frown.
The place didn’t feel like one for discussing business.
She soon saw Nathaniel.
He was still dressed in black, his expression subdued in the dim light.
His hands rested silently on the dining table, almost as pale and immaculate as the porcelain cutlery. In contrast, the steak in the plate was vividly red.
Purple Summers frowned slightly, feeling a bit uncomfortable.
She sat down opposite Nathaniel and asked directly, “Where is Mr. Ghost Hayes?”
