A massive, multicolored nebula nearby illuminated the void with dazzling brilliance. From time to time, a rose-red star would burst forth in radiant light, a sight not often seen in the Star Sea.

A space fortress as colossal as a star floated quietly here, slowly rotating to maintain gravity within the ship.

Dozens of main force Starships circled this super-battle fortress, along with hundreds of cruisers and frigates.

And in the distance, the massive forms of the Insect Race flashed by every now and then.

This was the flagship of the Confederation's Fourth Army Group, Eighth Fleet, and now also the command headquarters of the entire Fourth Army Group. Marshal Zhu Peng was the commander-in-chief of the Army Group. Though over a hundred years old, he had no black hair left. He possessed a robust build and bright, spirited eyes, though they were tinged with a hint of weariness.

The entire strength of the Fourth Army Group had been invested in this part of the Star Sea, stretching a long battlefront from the ground to the sea and into the starry sky against the Alien Insect Race.

But up to this point, both sides could only claim to have their share of victories and defeats.

Inside the flagship's command center, numerous staff officers, like industrious worker bees, were tirelessly busy, conducting simulations of the various battlefields and developing corresponding combat plans for different scenarios.

This was only possible thanks to data analysis assistance from intelligent AI. Otherwise, the workload would have increased a hundredfold.

His chief of staff, Lieutenant General Luo Qian, came up and shook his head. "Even if you, Marshal, offer yourself as bait, those bugs wouldn't have the guts."

Marshal Zhu Peng felt helpless. He and the fleet's main force had been in this part of the Star Sea for more than seven days. Insect Race scouts kept appearing in the vicinity, but their main force was nowhere to be seen.

Speaking in a voice only the two of them could hear, Luo Qian said, "Given their aggressive and greedy nature, it's impossible for those bugs to resist such a temptation."

Zhu Peng's eyes moved slightly as he asked, "Are you suggesting that... there's an Insect Queen here?"

Only with an Insect Queen personally in command could the agitated Insect Race army be kept in check.

Luo Qian continued, "The joint search team found some evidence on 'Remote Vista No.10,' but those cunning bastards from the other three Star Nations killed our people. We have no knowledge of what specific clues there are, but Marshal Bai is already taking care of it."

Marshal Zhu Peng slowly nodded, lost in thought. Luo Qian then asked, "Should we shift our strategic focus to 'Remote Vista No.10'?"

"We cannot," Zhu Peng said gravely, shaking his head. "The Insect Queen is cunning; for all we know, this could be her stratagem."

Luo Qian also nodded, and Zhu Peng inquired, "What's the situation on that planet?"

"It's very chaotic. Marshal Bai originally arranged for a team of professionals to land on the surface, but they ran right into a premeditated insect tide, nearly wiping the team out. Now the joint search team is trying to rescue them."

As he spoke, Luo Qian brought up satellite images from the 'Ghost Island' orbital platform near 'Remote Vista No.10,' locating the cave where the team was trapped. He said, "This insect tide is of a very high level. Our analysis later suggested that the Insect Race was lying in ambush there, ready to strike the Seventieth Division of the Thirty-Sixth Army on the planet's surface."

"The Seventieth Division is already facing an insect tide head-on and fighting desperately. If they're ambushed by this other tide as well, it would certainly lead to a complete collapse of their line."

"The Seventieth Division is covering the flank for the Thirty-Sixth Army and Mixed Mecha Brigade 105. If they collapse, these two main forces will be in danger. It could lead to the entire collapse of our campaign on the sixth continent of 'Remote Vista No.10'!"

"Heh heh, who knew that their sinister plot would be thwarted by one of Marshal Bai's casual chess moves, giving us time to respond."

"It seems the bugs also realize there's no hope left, so they're not bothering with the Seventieth Division and are furiously attacking that team of professionals."

"However, these heroes are in a very dire situation. We've sent our reserve forces to reinforce the Seventieth Division and stabilize the line, so we truly can't spare any more strength to rescue them."

"Even though the joint search team is individually strong, rescuing them from such a vast swarm of insects is virtually impossible..."

On the satellite images, one could see that the ground and sky were teeming with insects. Even the giant insects flying through the air obscured most of the ground, preventing the military satellites from clearly capturing some areas on the surface.

But just as Zhu Peng was solemnly nodding, contemplating where he could pull nearby forces to rescue these heroes as best as possible, suddenly, in the satellite feed, a large number of flying insects plummeted. In a brief moment, nearly a third of the Titan Ghost Moth horde was cleared out!

"Huh?" The marshal and the chief of staff exclaimed in surprise. They immediately zoomed in on the satellite feed and saw a group of warriors in Mecha battling the massive insect swarm.

The blast that had just wiped out a third of the Titan Ghost Moths came from one Mecha in particular, its chassis bearing the Confederation's military insignia.

"Joint search team?"

"Didn't they say all of our people were duped? How is one left?"

"He's a bit isolated by himself, but what a lone hero!"

As they spoke, that Mecha fired another blast, and the remaining Titan Ghost Moths were instantly halved again.
