Genetic Ascension-Chapter 1093: Information [Bonus]

There was silence on the other end for a very long time as Mospheral sat there, almost holding his breath. Though he looked composed, there were rifts and waves blooming in his heart, forming tsunamis in his blood that he could hardly control.
If the Main Clan decided to hang up, severing the connection, there would be nothing he could do about it.
To establish this connection alone—especially while circumventing the All-Seeing Eye—had taken up almost a decade of profits from his small branch family. He was hoping that this amount of sincerity would show just how serious he was, but there was no telling how the others would react.
The powerful didn't always care very much about the plight of the ant. The fact that they would take this into account was little more than wishful thinking on Mospheral's part.
Logically, then, he should be trying to get out as much information as quickly as possible, but Mospheral knew that this was the most foolish thing he could do. The Main Clan would take this as a sign of disrespect, as though he thought he knew better than they did.
Maybe in this case he really did… but he couldn't let them think that he believed that. He had to allow them to think it was their choice to accept a chance at this information.
That was why what Mospheral was banking on right now wasn't the fact that he had paid so much. To the Main Clan, the amount he had spent was probably an allowance they might casually give a decent child among their ranks.
No, what he was banking on was the fact that the family would be very interested in what was going on in this galaxy. Although they hadn't come to investigate because of the danger, it didn't mean they wouldn't have their ears up.
And if there was a chance to exploit something…
How could they not take it?
"Speak."
Mospheral felt like all the weight in his chest expelled at once when this word was finally spoken.
Now he just had to bring out the information he had as swiftly as possible.
"Sylas Grimblade. The family's Main Clan may not be aware of this name, but he is currently number one on our Titans Leaderboard despite being a Human. He is also confirmed to be of a Summoned World and hails from my District—the latter of which has also been confirmed."
After saying this, Mospheral stopped speaking once again. He knew how much information to give, and how much to keep back. Rambling wouldn't get him anywhere. He needed the one he was speaking to to be interested in the information he was giving.
The fact that a Thryskai wasn't number one in a small galaxy like this one would be the first eyebrow-raiser, but it would be the District that really raised eyebrows.
There was a reason that Mospheral had had the capital to trade for that treasure he had planned to hand down to his son. But unfortunately, the very reason had been tied up in too much bureaucracy, so instead of being able to hand it to Ulrik directly, he had had no choice but to use a challenge as a conduit to hand it over.
Who would have known that the likes of Lorien and Sylas would ruin everything?
So the question was… how had Mospheral had the capital to trade for that treasure? And the answer was because he had done something for the Main Clan.
This task was something he still didn't know everything about. But what he was sure of was that it was tied to the Golden Grove somehow.
Why was it that Mospheral had to hold a competition? It was because the treasure was passed down through the Golden Grove itself.
The connection between the two, and the details, were entirely unknown to Mospheral. But what he did know was that there couldn't possibly be such a coincidence in the world.
The family was somehow very interested in his District, so much so that they had even asked him for help, of all people, and then had ultimately rewarded him with a treasure so great that he had been certain it would be good enough to help his son lay claim to the Title of Progenitor in the near future.
And in this very same District that was somehow so important, a talent like Sylas rose up—coming from a Summoned World that had to also be here?
What were the odds of that?
Zero.
"Continue."
Mospheral's eyes flashed. It was only now that the last weight on his chest finally vanished. He knew that he was correct, and his gamble had paid off.
"Just now, Sylas Grimblade was awarded a Royal Hero Bloodline Foundation by the system. It was announced throughout the galaxy. However, his status still hasn't been revealed to the world. When I look up his ranking on the Breath Leaderboards of our District, his Summoned World is still greyed out, which means that it hasn't integrated yet.
"Logically speaking, this means that he shouldn't be part of a wider system announcement, not one that plays for all of us to hear, and yet he is."
After Mospheral said this, he stopped speaking entirely, but his eyes were blazing with a fiery light.
It took several minutes before the voice spoke again, but when it did, it was like awarding Mospheral with the praise of a god.
"You will be rewarded."
After this was said, the connection was severed.
Mospheral suddenly stood up, the intent in his eyes blazing.
Zoryx? Who cared. Those words just now were as good as gold.
Zoryx had almost certainly already fallen out of the family's favor because he couldn't even beat a Human. If the Main Clan was coming, they would choose a new Chosen to make up for this humiliation, and in that case…
The Chosen just might be him.
Mospheral clenched his fists.
As for why this information was so important, it reflected one very important fact…
It meant that Sylas had a secret method to circumvent the integration tiers of the system. If the Thryskai could get their hands on that, would they ever have to worry about the punishment of the system again?
