Charlotte and Azyrth exploded upward into the sky in a violent spiral of green and black ether.

Brandon staggered because of the explosive force and glanced up, but the two women were already gone, blurring into streaks of color against the storm clouds.

Charlotte struck first.

She twisted mid-air and drove her fist straight into Azyrth’s solar plexus.

The impact rang like a thunderclap.

*THOOM*

Azyrth’s body folded around the blow, and her breath exploded from her lungs in a white cloud before she was hurled backward through the sky, tumbling end over end across meters of airspace in seconds.

Charlotte didn’t give chase immediately.

She floated there for a moment, and then she moved.

*FEEN*

A sonic boom cracked the air as she accelerated, and her body blurred into a green comet, closing the distance faster than sound could follow.

Azyrth righted herself just in time, and she raised one hand as black mist coiled into a massive claw of darkness and caught Charlotte’s incoming punch.

*THOOM*

The collision birthed a second shockwave as snow and ice vaporized in a perfect sphere around them, trees below bending sideways from the pressure.

Azyrth twisted, using Charlotte’s momentum against her, and then slammed her downward.

Charlotte hit the mountainside like a meteor, crashing through rock and snow in a deafening avalanche.

Boulders the size of houses tumbled after her and the slope collapsed in a roaring white tide.

Azyrth dove right down, her naked body cutting through the air like a dark arrow... reaching Charlotte just as she burst back out of the debris cloud.

They traded blows, each impact sending lightning-like cracks through the sky.

Charlotte spun, kicking Azyrth’s ribs, and Azyrth took the hit before grabbing Charlotte’s ankle mid-kick and swinging her like a flail.

Charlotte’s body whipped through the air, slamming into a granite outcrop that exploded on impact.

She bounced twice but quickly caught herself on a narrow ledge, her boots gouging furrows in the rock.

Azyrth was already there, and her fingers closed around Charlotte’s throat, lifting her off the ledge and dragging her upward again.

*WOOOSHHH*

They rocketed into the clouds with Charlotte clawing at Azyrth’s wrist.

*THUD*

She quickly punched upward, straight into Azyrth’s jaw.

The goddess’s head snapped back in force.

Azyrth’s gaze condensed, and she hurled Charlotte higher, straight into the storm clouds.

Charlotte spun, regaining her control, and dove back down like a spear of green light.

She tackled Azyrth around the waist, and both women tumbled through the sky in a violent tangle of limbs and ether.

They traded blows... fists to ribs, elbows to jaws, knees to stomachs, each impact sending shockwaves that shattered nearby peaks, avalanches roaring down the slopes below.

Azyrth grabbed Charlotte’s hair, yanking her head back, and then slammed her palm into her chest.

*BOOM*

Green and black ether exploded outward, hurling them apart.

They hovered hundreds of meters above the shattered landscape.

Charlotte wiped the blood from her lip and sighed in her heart ’Does she have some invulnerability skill? No matter how hard I hit, she is not taking any damage.’

*woosh* In the next instant, Azyrth appeared in front of her, driving into Charlotte’s stomach, folding her in half.

She then grabbed Charlotte by the throat and flung her toward the nearest peak.

Charlotte crashed through the summit and then burst back out the other side, trailing debris and green sparks.

Azyrth instantly appeared in front of Charlotte and drove her palm forward in a casual motion.

Charlotte crossed her arms just in time.

BOOM

The impact rattled her bones and Charlotte’s body folded around the blow before she was launched backward again, skipping across the surface of a frozen lake like a stone on water.

Ice shattered in concentric rings with each bounce, and the lake’s surface fractured into a spiderweb of white cracks kilometers wide.

Charlotte rolled once, twice, then planted one hand on the ice and flipped upright.

Her coat was torn at the shoulder, blood trickling from a cut above her eyebrow, but her breathing was steady.

Landing on the ice, she reached into her storage ring and took out a long sword with a blue blade.

Azyrth hovered above the ruined lake, her naked body untouched by the cold or the debris "You really think that these artifacts from towers can save you?"

SHINK

The blue blade whistled as Charlotte accelerated, her body blurring into a streak of green and blue and closing the distance in less time than it took to blink.

Azyrth met the strike head-on and raised her forearm.

The blue blade met her skin.

CLANG

The impact rang, sending reverberations down Charlotte’s hands.

Shockwaves rolled outward, and Charlotte’s gaze narrowed ’What? How is she not taking any damage?’

’What’s the trick here?’

Charlotte stepped back for a moment, and the blue blade disappeared from her hand ’Then I will beat her to a pulp until she bleeds.’

A pair of black gloves appeared in her hand, and the knuckles in the gloves had small black crystals embedded on them. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

She gently slipped them in her hands and glanced at Azyrth, who was grinning.

Charlotte’s eyes narrowed and shot forward like a bullet.

BOOM

The snow beneath her feet exploded as she launched herself at Azyrth.

The first punch was a straight right fist, and Azyrth blocked with her forearm *CRACK* the impact sent a shockwave that blasted snow outward in a ring.

"Hahahaha..." She laughed, clearly enjoying herself, and countered with a backhand.

Charlotte ducked under it, stepped in close, and drove her left fist into Azyrth’s ribs.

THUD

The punch landed with a meaty impact. Azyrth’s body jolted, but she barely flinched.

Instead, she grabbed Charlotte’s arm, pulled her forward, and slammed her knee into her stomach.

Charlotte gasped but she twisted out of the grip and retaliated with a brutal spinning kick to the side of Azyrth’s head.

CRACK

Azyrth’s head snapped sideways, black hair whipping violently.

Keeping the momentum, Charlotte landed a clean hook to Azyrth’s jaw *crunch* then followed with an uppercut that lifted the goddess off her feet.

Azyrth recovered mid-air, spun, and delivered a roundhouse kick to Charlotte’s ribs.

*THUD* The force sent Charlotte tumbling across the sky.

She crashed through a ridge of rock and the stone exploded around her before she stabilized and shot back like a green comet.

They met again in midair, and Charlotte’s fist slammed into Azyrth’s cheek *BOOM* sending her spinning.

Azyrth countered with an elbow to Charlotte’s temple *CRACK* making Charlotte’s vision flash white.

Charlotte responded with a knee to the stomach, folding Azyrth in half, and then grabbed her by the hair and drove her downward, slamming her into the mountainside.

Azyrth burst out of the debris and dashed toward Charlotte.

However, at that moment, she saw something in the corner of her eye.

’Another presence...?’

Before she could react-

*THOOM* A kick landed on her head, smashing her face, and she was sent hurling away in the sky.

She spun uncontrollably through the air, tumbling end over end across hundreds of meters of sky, crashing through a low-hanging storm cloud before finally stabilizing.

Charlotte was dumbfounded to see the one who kicked the goddess was...

"Kael?"

Brandon was standing on a blue ether disc midair, glancing down at Azyrth.

A cold glint passed through his eyes as he muttered "Don’t you dare touch my big sister."
