Ghost Exorciser: The Oust Fake Heiress Strikes-Chapter 374: Movie
Lana blinked.
Naina continued bitterly.
"I tried. I sold almost all of my luxury items. My clothes, jewelry, watches... everything. In the end, I barely managed to gather about ten million dollars."
Lana remained quiet.
She could easily help Naina.
But before she could say anything, Naina continued speaking.
"What stresses me even more..."
She paused.
"My grandfather changed the condition and gave me one hundred million dollars."
Lana frowned slightly.
Naina continued.
"He said that if I can turn that one hundred million into one billion dollars... He’ll personally help me cut off all ties with the family."
Naina slumped slightly in her chair.
"I don’t even know how to do that. I’m not interested in investments. And honestly... I don’t know anything about investing either."
Lana fell silent for a moment.
Then suddenly, a thought flashed through her mind.
’Hedge City.’
Without hesitation, she spoke.
"You should invest in Hedge City."
Naina blinked. "Hedge City?"
Her eyes immediately lit up. "Do you know something about it?"
Lana paused for a moment before nodding slowly. "I do."
Her voice lowered slightly. "That’s why I’m recommending it."
She looked directly at Naina. "Otherwise... I wouldn’t tell anyone."
As she thought that, Lana’s mind briefly wandered.
Her uncle. Monica. Lucy. Lucian.
And a few other close friends.
Since they were all important people in her life, perhaps she should give them the same opportunity as well.
After all...
This might completely change their destinies.
With that thought in mind, Lana glanced at Naina.
At that moment, Naina had already pulled out her phone and started searching rapidly.
Just as Lana had expected that Naina was looking up information about Hedge City, Naina proved her wrong.
It turned out that Naina had not been searching for information at all.
A few seconds later, Naina suddenly looked up.
"I already bought it."
Lana blinked. "You... what?"
Naina grinned brightly, almost unable to contain her excitement. "I bought the land."
She waved her phone proudly in front of Lana. "I used the money my grandfather gave me."
For a moment, Lana simply stared at her, completely stunned.
’Already bought it?’
She had spent three full days carefully arranging things so she could purchase land there.
And Naina...
Naina had done it in less than five minutes.
Lana slowly leaned back in her chair and let out a quiet breath.
’Connections really change everything...’
The difference between people with strong connections and people without them was truly enormous.
After calming herself down, Lana looked at Naina again. Naina’s entire face was glowing with excitement, like a child who had just won a grand prize.
Lana raised an eyebrow.
"You don’t even want to ask how much return you’ll get?"
Naina waved her hand dismissively. "I don’t care."
She shrugged casually. "Even if it only earns ten million dollars, I’ll still leave my family."
Her tone was extremely carefree.
Hearing that, Lana couldn’t help but chuckle softly. "You really underestimate me."
Naina tilted her head slightly. "What do you mean?"
Lana rested her chin on her hand and smiled faintly.
"I can say with full confidence that the hundred million dollars you invested ..."
She paused deliberately.
"Will become two billion dollars."
Naina froze.
Her eyes widened so much that they almost sparkled like stars. "Two... billion?"
Lana nodded calmly. "Yes."
Then she added, "But you’ll have to wait at least one year."
Naina’s shoulders instantly drooped. "Another year..."
She sighed heavily.
The thought of enduring her family for another year felt suffocating.
Still...
Compared to the time limit her grandfather had given her, one year was actually extremely short.
Her grandfather had told her very clearly that she could keep the one hundred million dollars for as long as fifty years.
But by the end of those fifty years, she must either earn one billion dollars...
Or compensate the missing amount herself.
After that pressing matter was finally resolved, Naina seemed far more relaxed.
The heavy tension on her face slowly disappeared.
She suddenly clapped her hands lightly.
"Let’s go watch a movie."
Lana blinked slightly.
A movie?
Then she realized something.
It had actually been a very long time since she had watched one.
Although her uncle often took her out to enjoy various activities, she could not deny that her life had been incredibly busy recently.
Cultivation. Talisman making. Ghost incidents.
She constantly felt like she was missing out on normal life experiences.
’Maybe I should take a break...’
With that thought, Lana nodded.
Soon, both Naina and Lana arrived at one of the city’s most recently popular cinemas.
As soon as Lana stepped inside the building, a new idea suddenly formed in her mind.
She owned a large amount of land within the city.
Instead of letting it remain empty, she could develop it herself.
’A supermarket... A cinema... Shooting locations... Residential areas...’
She could even build office complexes and invite companies to establish their headquarters there.
For the residential areas developed by other companies, she could simply lease the land and collect rent.
And not just a small amount. Fifty percent.
The more Lana thought about it, the more excited she became.
Her eyes sparkled slightly.
’Once I get back to the mansion... I’ll prepare a complete investment plan.’
Meanwhile, Naina had already purchased the tickets.
They chose a horror movie that had recently become extremely popular.
When they entered the cinema hall, Lana immediately noticed something.
The theater was crowded. Almost every seat was filled.
Naina looked around curiously. "Is the director famous?"
She glanced at Lana. "Or is it the actor?"
Lana raised her thumb slightly and smiled. "The director."
She continued, "He’s well known for his dark horror themes. So people have been eagerly waiting for this movie."
Naina nodded with understanding.
Soon, the lights dimmed and the movie began.
At first, the plot seemed very ordinary.
It followed a young girl who had just moved into an old apartment.
After settling in, she slowly began noticing strange things.
Doors creaking. Objects moving.
