Chapter 702: I’ll Bring You To The Right Path

Their kiss was slow at first, soft and warm, his tongue teasing her lips until she parted them, letting him in, his tongue dancing with hers in a way that made her body heat up, her thighs pressing together.

"Kiss!♡~ Kiss!♡~ Mwah!♡~ Kiss!♡~ Nibble!♡~"

She struggled to keep up, the kiss still new, only her second time, but his confidence guided her, his hand steadying her as she melted into him, her body trembling with a blend of nerves and desire.

"Smooch!♡~ Smooch!♡~ Kiss!♡~ Smooch!♡~ Sip!♡~"

Her hands slid to his chest, clutching his shirt, her breasts pressing against him as the kiss grew deeper, more intimate, their tongues tangling in a quiet, forbidden rhythm.

"Mwah!♡~ Mwah!♡~ Pucker!♡~ Mwah!♡~ Suck!♡~"

Her body felt like it was burning, her skin tingling where he touched her, her heart racing with the thrill of kissing her son again, the wrongness of it only making it sweeter.

They then pulled back slowly, their lips parting with a soft, wet sound, her breath ragged, her cheeks flushed a deep pink, while Kafka leaned forward, his forehead brushing hers, his voice a cheerful whisper.

"Good morning, Mom." He said, his hand still tangled in her hair, his grin wide and playful, his body warm against hers.

Olivia’s blush deepened, her hands still clutching his shirt, her voice a shy mumble as she looked away. "Good morning, Kafi." She said, her heart pounding with embarrassment. "I-I can’t believe we...did that again. I mean, it’s just a morning kiss just like you last night’s kiss was a goodnight kiss, right? But still..." Her voice trailed off, her fingers twisting together, her body warm with a shameful craving for more, her lips still tingling from his touch.

Kafka, meanwhile, sat down at the kitchen table, his body relaxed but his mind sharp. He’d been itching to ask about the conversation he suspected Olivia and Abigaille had, hoping Abigaille had played her part as the possessive ’villain’ to keep Olivia on edge, to draw her deeper into their family’s ways.

And to find out about that, be reached out, his hand gently tugging Olivia’s arm, pulling her to stand beside him, her warmth brushing his side as he looked up at her, his voice casual but probing.

"So, Mom." He said, his fingers lingering on her wrist, his eyes glinting with curiosity. "I heard from Mom that you two had a big talk about something important. Something about me, maybe? Wanna fill me in? What’s the deal?"

Olivia’s body jerked back slightly, her hand instinctively pulling away as her heart skipped. She hadn’t expected Abigaille to spill that they’d talked, and the sudden question caught her off guard, her mind scrambling for a response. ƒreewebɳovel.com

Standing so close to him, his hand warm on her skin, she knew she couldn’t dodge it, he was too sharp, too insistent, so her voice came out nervous, her fingers fidgeting at her sides.

"Oh, um, Kafi." She said, her tone shaky, her eyes darting to his, then away. "Yeah, we...we did talk, about you, and, um, the family, and the dynamic, you know, the future and stuff. But it’s...it’s not something I can just lay out for you, okay? It’s a parent thing, between me and Abi, as your moms. You don’t need to know every little detail, not yet."

Her mind raced, her heart pounding with the weight of what she couldn’t say. She couldn’t tell him how taboo his relationship with Abigaille was, how it had shocked her to see them kiss so deeply, to witness Abigaille’s brazen intimacy with him.

He was too far gone, too entrenched in their family’s ways to see it as wrong, and she doubted he’d believe her if she tried to explain how problematic it was.

But she had to give him something, some answer to satisfy his curiosity, so she took a breath, her gaze settling on him, kind but still nervous, her body shifting closer despite her unease.

"Look, Kafi." She said, her voice softening, her hands resting on the table, her fingers tapping lightly. "I can’t tell you everything, but I’ll say this—without you even realizing it, Abi’s pulled you into a...a strange path, okay? It’s not your fault, and I don’t think you’d see it right now, because she’s got you so deep in it, like you’re in some kind of rabbit hole. You probably don’t even know what I’m talking about, and that’s okay, but I see it, and I’m worried."

She paused, her voice growing firmer, her gaze locking onto his with a quiet promise.

"But don’t worry, alright? I’ve made it my mission to help you, to pull you out of that hole, bit by bit. I’m gonna save you, Kafi, slow and sure, and make you see the truth about what’s going on."

"I’m your mom, and that’s what moms do, they look out for you, even when you don’t know you need it."

Her words carried a bit of determination and anxiety, her body tense as she spoke, her heart aching with the weight of her goal, even as she doubted her own resolve.

And in response he grinned seeing that everything was going just like he had planned.

"Alright, Mom, I’ll be honest, I don’t really get what you’re going on about with this ’rabbit hole’ stuff." He said, his hand waving dismissively, his tone playful. "Sounds like some deep, mysterious thing, but I’m just living my life, you know? But if you say you’re looking out for me, I’m good with that."

"Whatever you do, I know it’s ’cause you love me, so I’ll roll with it...Save me, change me, whatever, I’m yours to fix."

His grin widened, his eyes glinting with trust, his words carefully chosen to ease her worry while keeping her hooked and hearing this, Olivia’s heart warmed, her body relaxing slightly, her hands unclenching as she leaned closer.

"Oh, Kafi." She said, her voice soft, her fingers reaching out to touch his arm, her warmth seeping into him. "You have no idea how much that means to me. I’m just...I’m trying to do what’s right for you, for us, for this family. I love you so much, you know that right and I want you to be okay, you know?"

But even she said all that about saving him, deep inside, though, her resolve wavered, her mind churning with doubt. She’d wanted to pull Kafka away from the taboo path he was on, to steer him from Abigaille’s influence, to make their family ’normal’ again.

But after last night, the closeness, the way her body had burned for him, she knew she was just as entangled, just as fallen into the same forbidden feelings.

Changing him meant changing herself, and that felt impossible, her love for him too deep, too complicated to untangle.

So, her goal right now wasn’t really about saving him anymore; that hope had slipped away, drowned in the heat of their kiss, the thrill of his touch.

Instead, her focus had shifted to what Abigaille had said during their talk, that she’d keep Kafka for herself if Olivia didn’t embrace their family’s ways, that she’d claim him fully, leaving Olivia out.

That was something Olivia couldn’t bear, her love for Kafka too fierce, too consuming to let Abigaille steal him away.

She couldn’t let Abigaille win, couldn’t let her take Kafka’s love solely for herself. Olivia wanted him to love her too, to see her as just as vital to their family, even if it meant diving deeper into the taboo she’d once wanted to escape.

She’d do anything to keep him close, to prove she belonged in this dynamic, even if it meant competing with Abigaille’s brazen affection.

At the same time, she clung to a faint hope of nudging Kafka toward a less tangled path, even if she knew it was a long shot, her own feelings mirroring his too closely to make real change possible.

And while thinking about this, she couldn’t help but think that managing this family was a thousand times harder than running her real estate business; deals and contracts were too simple compared to navigating love, desire, and taboo under one roof.

Hey everyone! I’m really sorry for the confusion, but unlike what I said a few days ago, Chapter updates will go back to how they were before.

I completely forgot that some of you have paid for privileged Chapters, and it wouldn’t be fair if I stopped updating just to focus on another novel.

So to keep things fair, I’ll be continuing this series as usual.

Also, for those wondering if I’m going to put less focus on this story because of other projects—don’t worry at all. This is my first original story, the one that brought me this far, and there’s no way I’d ever abandon it.

I’m fully committed to seeing it through to the very end!
