A girl with fiery red eyes and a somewhat adorably childish look also came over, and at that moment, Gwen’s mind completely exploded.
"No way, no one is okay, I don’t need a Dragon Mother!"
"Alright, stop teasing her, you all need to stop messing around!"
Noah spoke up at the right time to stop what he saw as a farce. He had experienced similar scenes more than once and could now handle them with a calm heart.
"Dragon Dad, what’s going on with them? Why do they all want to be my Dragon Mother? Why have so many dragons suddenly appeared in the territory?"
After the banquet, Gwen’s classmates brought back from the Starlight Tower were basically all messed up, except for her two best friends who managed to escape intact.
In just one night, they had suffered unprecedented mental anguish, and it was estimated they would need many years to heal the mental wounds. Yet, even so, they would be awakened by the whispers of the Evil Dragon in some midnight dreams.
However, compared to these poor things who were given special attention due to Noah’s instructions, the spiritual trauma received by Gwen, who was supposed to be the star of the banquet, was the greatest.
Because she couldn’t accept that in just a short absence of two years, which was nothing to the Dragon Clan, such a big change happened in the territory.
In her memory, Dragon Dad, who had long had no same-species companions and was only accompanied by some fairies, was now surrounded by so many same-species individuals.
That was understandable, but those Female Dragons actually had the delusion of being her Dragon Mother; how could she accept such a thing?!
Absolutely not!
"Do you remember Lord Rafael?"
"I remember."
"He fell victim and perished."
"How could that be?"
Gwen did have some impressions of the gentlemanly Silver Dragon, but the first emotion that emerged was disbelief, and soon, it was as if she remembered something,
"Silver Dragon’s Sorrow!"
"It seems Starlight Tower isn’t such a place devoid of information, so I don’t need to give you a detailed introduction. You only need to know that the origin of Silver Dragon’s Sorrow is here, and that’s why a lot of young dragons who aren’t qualified to participate stayed behind."
Noah briefly explained why the territory currently had so many dragons.
"Then why are they all around you? Why do you have such a strong attraction?"
The girl mumbled discontentedly, but her complaint was naturally met with a light tap from Noah.
"Why can’t I have such strong attraction? Don’t you think there are barely any dragons in the same age group who can compare to me?"
The Golden Dragon revealed his true form, taking the girl who looked a bit sulky into the sky and to the clouds, gazing at the rising sun in the east,
"Being admired and pursued by female dragons isn’t a very normal thing?"
"They only like your territory and power."
The girl argued.
"Territories larger than mine and human rulers with more power aren’t rare. Do you think any of those female dragons wanting to be your Dragon Mother tonight would give them a second glance?"
Noah brought the girl back down to the clouds.
"Oh, I know, they just crave your body!"
"Aren’t you the same?"
The Golden Dragon looked at the girl hugging his tail and couldn’t help but ask.
"I’m different from them; I genuinely like you. No matter what you become, Dragon Dad, I will always like you."
The girl rubbed her face against the Dragon Scale.
"Is that so?"
"Of course."
Gwen replied confidently, suddenly remembering something,
"Dragon Dad, do you have a dragon you like?"
"That depends on how you define ’like.’ Do you think that of those female dragons tonight, there’s any one of them in terms of appearance and abilities that I should reject?"
"I think Dragon Dad should reject them all."
The girl spoke without hesitation.
"Reject them all, why?"
"Because they’re not worthy of you. You’re a dignified Ancestor Dragon; how could you be the same as them? They’re just ordinary dragons.
If you’re looking for a mate, it should at least be an Ancestor Dragon like you, ideally one that has fully returned to the ancestors and successfully transformed. Only such a dragon would be qualified to be with you."
"Where am I going to find another Ancestor Dragon now? By your standards, I might end up all alone."
Noah could see through the girl’s little thoughts.
"How could there be none? If you can’t find one in our world, you can always find one in another world. Dragon Dad, you must be careful with this; you have to choose wisely.
If you choose wrong, your bloodline could be diluted, and your daughters and sons might blame you then."
Gwendolin looked very serious and solemn.
"Let nature take its course. I don’t have that many requirements."
"How can that be? Dragon Dad, you must have standards. How can you be indiscriminate? If you’re so casual, wouldn’t you be like the Colorful Dragons? That’s irresponsible to yourself."
Hearing this, the girl became quite anxious.
"Alright, alright, I’ll listen to you and make sure to choose carefully. I won’t be casual."
Noah couldn’t help but laugh when he saw the girl’s expression.
"That’s what you said, a promise from the Golden Dragon."
"Yes, that’s my promise."
"When you choose someone, you must inform me. I have the right to know."
"Besides knowing, what else do you want? Do you want to help me choose?"
"Can I?"
Gwen expressed her surprise joyfully.
"Of course not."
Noah firmly dashed the girl’s hopes,
"This is about choosing a mate for myself. It’s naturally up to me to decide."
"But you’re my Dragon Dad. If you choose a mate, then I’ll have to call her mom because of you. Can’t I choose my Dragon Mother?"
Gwendolin retorted.
"If you don’t accept, you don’t have to call her that."
"That won’t do."
The girl stubbornly shook her head and then once again looked very serious and affirmed,
"If it’s a partner Dragon Dad approves of, then I will also acknowledge it."
"That’s for the best."
The girl’s short visit home was very brief, only three days, before Gwendolin, along with her classmates who had been through a lot, set off on their return to the Starlight Tower.
It’s believed that this short trip has left a lasting, unforgettable impression on these geniuses from the Caster’s Holy Land.
"What did your daughter talk to you about, President?"
Watching the Flying Ship depart, a group of uninvited figures stood by Noah’s side.
"Did she remind you of many things?"
"It seems mostly about guarding against us; you’ve pushed the young girl too hard."
"That’s your fault. You’re too impatient; she doesn’t even know you, and you want the young girl to call you mom. Who would be willing?"
"You are no different. What right do you have to talk about us?"
Hearing the chatter around him, Noah irritably shook his head before dropping a piece of news that ended all disputes,
"My Deep Sleep Period is about to begin."
"What? President, is your juvenile phase finally over?"
"That’s wonderful."
"Once you awaken, you’ll be an adolescent dragon, then we can..."
"Can what?"
The Golden Dragon Agnes’s eyes shone like flames erupting, glaring at the Red Copper Dragon girl who had spoken thoughtlessly.
"N-nothing."
Faced with the Golden Dragon’s intimidation, the girl shrank back.
"During my sleep, everything will be left to you. My Deep Sleep Period might be a bit lengthy but will not exceed two years."
Noah began to give instructions. Although these female dragons all harbored ambitions towards him, it was precisely because of these ambitions that they worked diligently in all tasks.
