Gravity Mage with Level-Up System-Chapter 1837: Second day in the Sun Haven City
Sun Crest Hotel
Gary Crest lost his nerve. For a second, he thought he had misidentified the man, but his rational mind kicked in.
He was looking at this person from such a close distance; how could he have recognized him incorrectly?
The famous rising star of the Silver Tower was standing right in front of him. He was also the owner of a new appraisal shop in Crystal City.
"Are you Vincent Carey?" Gary asked.
Hearing that, both staff members were stunned. They had expected something else to happen, but their young master was saying something entirely different.
"The name sounds familiar," the female staff member muttered. The male staff member had a similar reaction.
My mouth curved into an arc.
Gary Crest shuddered. He was now certain that the person in front of him was the famous Silver Tower Wizard. He regretted coming here now.
He had placed spy cams in the hotel room and suspected that Vincent Carey might have already removed them. He didn’t want the problem to escalate any further.
He said, "It’s nice to meet you, Vincent Carey. I did not expect to meet you here."
Hearing that, I asked, "And you are...?"
Gary was stunned. Then he said, "I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Gary Crest. I’m an official member of the Flame Elemental Tower. I also come from one of the wizard families here."
His tone was polite and respectful.
The two staff members behind him were shocked. They didn’t expect their young master to change his tone so suddenly.
At that moment, Gary Crest’s protectors arrived on the scene. Gary was taken aback and signaled them not to cause any problems. I saw Gary’s expression as well.
Seeing that, I almost laughed out loud. Gary Crest was clearly worried that I would take action.
"Alright, I have work to do. If you need anything, you can ask me," I said to Gary Crest.
Gary was taken aback. He shook his head and said, "It’s nothing. I’m leaving right now."
After saying that, Gary signaled the staff and his protectors with his eyes. They left the place immediately.
Once they were gone, my eyes gleamed. I had thought he would cause problems, but it appeared he was frightened.
Maybe it was because of the spy cams; he likely didn’t want the matter of the cameras to be leaked.
That was why he remained so calm and composed. I shook my head before heading inside.
Outside
Gary Crest returned to the lobby. He turned around and looked toward the male and female staff members.
"Look, it’s good that you guys didn’t cause a problem. He is not someone I can afford to offend. So, be careful until he leaves the hotel," he warned them.
The staff members were terrified. They felt fortunate; if they had confronted the man, the consequences would have been dire.
...
The Following Day
I woke up and, after getting out of bed, began my morning routine. It lasted for an hour.
Then, I thought of the mana chamber. I decided I should use the training facility I had visited yesterday.
After getting ready, I left the hotel. When I reached the lobby, I saw the place was quiet, with only a few people moving about.
I glanced at the two staff members, and they smiled upon seeing me.
I nodded to them in return before walking out.
"It appears Gary Crest was sensible. If it were others, they would have informed their higher-ups already," I thought.
Still, I decided to remain cautious. I found a cab driver and told him to drop me at the training facility.
Shortly afterward, the car departed. As usual, I enjoyed the passing scenery. It didn’t take long for the car to arrive, and it landed smoothly on the ground.
I stepped outside, paid the fare, and the car left.
I walked up to the main door, which opened automatically, and headed to the help desk.
I informed the staff of my request. They explained the rules, noting that the service fees were different for outsiders.
I paid 100 mid-grade mana stones for four hours. One of the staff members led me to the area where the mana chambers were arranged in a row.
The staff member showed me my room, which had a monitor display outside. He entered a code and set the timer for four hours. The next second, the door opened automatically.
"After four hours, the room door will open automatically. You can leave then," the staff member replied.
I thanked him and walked into the mana chamber. The door shut automatically behind me.
Buzz!
A second later, pure, rich mana entered the room. In the blink of an eye, the space was completely filled. I went to the center and sat cross-legged on the ground.
I closed my eyes and started running the Gravity Ark mental method. Slowly, the gravity mana entered my body.
I guided the gravity mana along the established route, letting it flow through my body.
After circulation, the gravity mana entered the mana core space. The mana core absorbed the incoming mana. When it was completely absorbed, I repeated the process.
...
Crest Family
Gary Crest was in his room, thinking about the Supreme Wizard, Vincent Carey. His heart was filled with worry. He looked tense.
He was afraid that his bad deeds could be exposed.
Yesterday, he had confirmed that Vincent Carey was indeed a Supreme Wizard. The news was true.
This was one of the reasons why he hadn’t informed his family or the Flame Elemental Tower.
He didn’t want his own bad deeds to be exposed; otherwise, he would have no place left to go. Especially, he can’t stay here.
So, he decided to keep it a secret. He assumed Vincent Carey might have come here for a mission and would leave in a day or two. There was no need to overthink it.
He also believed Vincent Carey didn’t want to cause trouble either. If he did, then his secrets would have already been exposed.
