Gravity Mage with Level-Up System-Chapter 1836: Meeting Gary Crest
SunHaven City
The driver showed me around multiple buildings here, but I didn’t find anything after using the system probe.
I had a feeling that all the important stuff had been collected by the Mage Union. The leftovers might have been collected by the Flame Elemental Tower.
Just when I thought coming to the city was a waste of time:
"Guest, we have reached another important location. You could say that this building is active day and night."
"It’s the training facility used by the wizards of the city. Most of them are from wizard families," the driver said. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦
Hearing that, I raised my eyebrows in surprise. I suddenly got the urge to probe this place, so I told the driver to stop.
The driver parked the car in the parking area. When the car came to a halt, I opened the door and walked out.
I told the driver to wait. He knew that I was going to look around. I started walking up to the building.
The building was no ordinary structure; it was a multi-story glass building. I walked inside and saw many help desks.
I casually went to one of them. There was a female staff member behind the counter.
"Hello, how can I help you?" she asked.
"I heard this place is an amazing training facility," I said to her.
"Yes, we not only have mana chambers, but we have all types of training rooms where you can practice elemental spells," the female staff member replied.
Hearing that, I raised my eyebrows in surprise again. But I wasn’t here for that. I nodded to her.
"I will walk around the place first," I said before heading further in.
Then, I used the system probe function.
[Ding! Hidden Dangerous Area detected.]
[Ding! The place is protected with magic formations.]
The system voice sounded in my mind. Hearing that, I felt disappointed. I was hopeful that there would be some clues, but I couldn’t destroy the magic formations.
It would lead to a big issue. I decided to exit the place; my main goal was to find an unprotected dangerous area.
I couldn’t spend time on other things. After walking out, I found the driver waiting for me.
It was already evening. I decided to explore the remaining places tomorrow. I didn’t want to leave the city half-hearted.
I told the driver to drop me back at the hotel. I entered the car, and the driver sat in the driver’s seat.
Swoosh!
He started driving, and the car departed. It moved toward the Sun Crest Hotel.
20 minutes later,
The car landed in front of the Sun Crest Hotel. I stepped out and paid the fare to the driver.
When the car was gone, my gaze fell on the entrance. A row of black cars attracted my attention.
I turned towards them. Seeing so many cars here, I guessed some important people had arrived.
I took my gaze off them and walked through the entrance. Suddenly, I felt a piercing gaze on me. I followed it and saw a male and female staff member looking at me.
I noticed their expressions were off. Their gazes were filled with malicious intentions; they were up to something. I didn’t react and went to my room, number 210.
After reaching the room, I entered and shut the door. I turned on the lights and scanned the space.
I immediately noticed the chairs and tables were displaced. My mind jolted awake. I knew something was wrong.
I immediately used the system function.
[Ding! Sign of intruder detected.]
The system voice sounded in my mind. My eyes flashed with confirmation. I immediately thought of the spy cams.
I had destroyed the spy cams before leaving the hotel. It was possible that the hotel staff had been alerted.
They must have used the spare keys to check the room. The gazes of both staff members hadn’t been good earlier.
These two must have searched the room; that’s why they were acting strange.
If I wasn’t wrong, something was going to happen soon. After figuring it out, I breathed in and out.
Then, I took my device and phoned Hank. I wanted to know what was going on back there.
The video call connected, and Hank answered.
"Master?" Hank greeted me.
I nodded to Hank. I noticed the gallery room background.
"What’s going on there?" I asked him.
Outside,
Both staff members reported the news to the young master. Gary Crest was waiting for the person to return. He wanted to see who was daring enough to offend them.
He left his room and headed to room number 210. Both staff members hurriedly followed behind.
They were worried because the hotel manager was not there. If he were here, he would have controlled the young master.
Now, if the young master got angry, no one could stop him.
The male staff member informed the young master’s protectors, just in case any trouble arose.
Gary Crest arrived at the door. His face carried an expression of extreme anger. Seeing that, both staff members were worried; they didn’t want any "incidents" to happen.
Meanwhile,
I was on the call with Hank. He was explaining how the customers wanted to see me.
They were worried that I might leave since the shop got a new owner, but they didn’t know it was the same person.
Just then, I heard a knock at the door. I told Hank that I had a visitor and had to end the call.
I put away my device, walked to the door, and opened it.
The next second, I saw a red-haired man standing outside. The two staff members were standing behind him. It was clear this man was someone of high status.
"Who are you?"
"What do you want?" I asked back to back questions.
Both staff members were tense, their gazes fixed on their young master.
But the man’s face changed drastically. His earlier anger was gone. Now, his eyes were filled with great fear, because he recognized Vincent Carey.
