As Kaspar and Daryl argued with the guard about the veracity of the Dark King's age and his time at the Clover Academy, Anna enjoyed the scenery of the city.

She couldn't care less about the Dark King. Nor was she interested in her prodigious talent and how quickly the man had become a Mana Vortex Magus.

The Princess of the Ignisra Kingdom had come to the Southern Federation for one purpose and one purpose only.

To reunite with Adam and take him to her kingdom in the Europa Continent. She believed Adam would have a much better future there with her supporting him.

Besides, she had already made a formal petition to the Crown, declaring her intent to adopt Adam into the royal family.

Although she had faced a lot of backlash from the regency council and even her father, the King, in the end, she managed to persuade her mother.

And once the Queen of the Ignisra Kingdom had decided on a matter, there was nothing even the King could do to stop it.

Thinking about how they would soon reunite, Anna couldn't help but reveal a faint smile.

I wonder how far you've progressed in your arcane path, she thought.

There was another reason why Anna insisted on adopting Adam into the royal family, apart from the fact that she thought of him and treated him as her little brother.

Once Adam was part of the Fireborn Family, he would then be able to receive the mana extraction technique that the family members practiced.

This, in turn, would allow him to walk further down the arcane path!

Anna believed that Adam would still be a Rank 1 - Mana Foundation Magus at the moment.

Given the opportunity to practice the mana extraction technique she used, it was a given that Adam would eventually become a Mana Liquefaction Magus.

Furthermore, if he was talented enough, even reaching the Rank 3 - Mana Vortex Rank wasn't out of the question.

But little did she know…

The road the group was currently traveling on was called South Lunar Avenue. It connected the South Ward to the Lunar Bridge, which in turn connected it to North Lunar Avenue in the North Ward.

The North Ward was an opulent district where the royal palace was located. Furthermore, it also housed the manors and compounds of the nobility of Nightingale Kingdom.

Meanwhile, the majority of the South Ward was occupied by the Clover Academy's sprawling campus.

"This is not a bad place at all," said the silver-haired woman with a gentle smile on her face. "I could see myself settling down here, marrying someone strong and handsome, and starting a family."

Ada Bray, Anna's childhood friend and a Rank 2 - Mana Liquefaction Magus, spoke with a dreamy expression on her face. "Say, Anna! Let's stay here for a week or two and then return to Europa."

Anna couldn't help but let out a light chuckle, "But I thought you were planning to marry and settle down here? I was afraid I would have to deliver this scandalous news to Duke Bray myself when I returned."

Ada rolled her eyes. "Now wouldn't that be ideal?"

She looked around the cobblestone streets of the city. The sidewalks here were packed with people and stalls.

One thing she noticed was the abundance of trees. There was vegetation flourishing almost everywhere she looked.

Some trees were taller than buildings, some buildings were taller than trees, and others were buildings that were, in fact, trees.

She saw little children wearing black pointy hats and pretending to be the Dark King while playing with one another on the streets.

Ada couldn't help but marvel, "A Mana Vortex Magus at the age of thirty-five? My goodness!"

She revealed a dreamy smile yet again and added, "If only I could find someone like that. Won't that person be the perfect husband material? Even better, wouldn't it be wonderful to have the Dark King as my husband? I'm certain he is a man amongst men~"

Hearing her words, Anna couldn't help but shake her head helplessly. Her friend, Ada, had always been like that since they were little kids.

She would fantasize about princes in shining armor and talk about marrying them and having several kids with them.

Yet, when a prospective man did approach her, Ada would ruthlessly reject him, making sure to viciously insult him and break his confidence.

"They are probably lying about the Dark King's age," said Anna after a brief moment. "I find it rather difficult to believe that a person could become a Mana Vortex Magus at such a young age. There is no one like that even in Europa."

"But what reason would they have to lie?" Ada asked curiously.

Anna shook her head. "I'm not certain, but if I had to guess… It might be related to the Grand Magus Tournament in the Acadian Empire. They say the Dark King is a student of Saratoga.

"Perhaps, the arcane institution wants to use the Dark King's name and supposedly his young age to increase their status and prestige amongst other similar institutions in the Empire, letting them know that Saratoga was able to produce such a phenomenal Magus."

"Hmph!" Daryl chimed in. "That could indeed be the case! I refuse to believe someone so young could become a Mana Vortex Magus!"

Ada glanced at him and ridiculed, "No, Daryl, you just refuse to believe someone younger than you could become a Mana Vortex Magus."

"That is not the case at all!" Daryl protested angrily.

Daryl Quinn was Anna's brother-in-law. The man's sister had married her elder brother.

Although the man appeared rough and unruly, he was considered one of the most talented Magi in the Ignisra Kingdom.

So naturally, it hurt Daryl's pride when he learned that there was someone younger than him who was one entire rank stronger than him.

Thus, he refused to believe the Dark King's age.

As the group chatted amongst one another, under the guard's guidance, they soon arrived at the entrance of the famous Clover Academy.

The entrance of the academy was dominated by a large marble archway. The name, Clover Academy, was carved on it in a grand manner.

Vines crawled up the columns of the enormous archway, giving it a floral touch.

Many young students wearing olive-colored cloaks with the four-leaf clover insignia could be seen entering and exiting the main gates.

"My Lords, My Ladies, we have arrived at the great Clover—" The guard, who was guiding them, suddenly found his words caught in his throat.

Because he found someone completely unexpected standing at the entrance of the academy!
