Guide to Failing as a Full-Level Green Tea-Chapter 8 - The Beloved Girl’s Leisurely Life
Logically, there must be some misunderstanding.
Shen Roujia looked at Shen Siqi’s genuine concern and felt a slight pang of emotion. She had never heard such words before.
Having experienced much insincerity, this simple affection made Shen Roujia feel a bit uneasy.
Her face grew warm, and she stammered, “S-second sister.”
Shen Siqi scoffed, “A few months and you haven’t improved at all. With so many old foxes in the palace, how can you manage?”
Shen Roujia hung her head, seemingly disheartened, obediently listening to Shen Siqi’s lecture.
Seeing this, Shen Siqi coughed, her voice softening, “Alright, don’t stand out here in the wind. I’ve had the chef from Drunken Gold House make your favorite cherry pancakes and some other treats.”
Her tone became gentler, “I used to think you were too young to understand certain things, but now, in this situation, even if you don’t like me, I have to tell you what I can.”
Shen Roujia slowly lifted her eyes, unable to stop her nose from twitching.
Shen Siqi was a sharp-tongued but soft-hearted good sister, only two years older than Shen Roujia, yet she thought deeply for her siblings.
For the first time since coming here, Shen Roujia felt such warmth. Her heart felt full from a few simple words.
It seemed everything was turning out differently than she had expected. This overwhelming warmth made Shen Roujia start to feel an attachment to this world.
“Thank you, Second Sister.”
Shen Siqi’s eyebrows furrowed as she leaned in, “Jiao Jiao, are you crying?”
Shen Roujia hadn’t realized her eyes had reddened. She looked away hurriedly, “No, the wind blew into my eyes.”
Shen Siqi grabbed her hand, smiling stiffly, “Jiao Jiao, are you being mistreated in the palace?”
Shen Roujia quickly shook her head. Shen Siqi, seemingly impatient, stood still, angrily saying, “Your brother and sister are not without power. How did you become so timid? Really nothing?”
Shen Roujia was amused by her sister’s ever-changing expressions. Blushing, she patted Shen Siqi’s hand, “I just missed you all a bit.”
Shen Siqi froze, then smiled warmly, “Alright, let’s go eat your favorite things and then take a walk.”
Shen Roujia found herself liking this sister more. Their courtyards were next to each other, but Shen Roujia asked to stay with Shen Siqi, making Shen Siqi feel a bit uneasy with such closeness.
She arranged for the room to be tidied while muttering, “Why are you getting more spoiled?”
Shen Roujia sat on the swing in the courtyard, swaying gently, deep in thought.
Shen Hexuan had set up separate courtyards for his sisters, especially Shen Roujia’s large courtyard, which was well-maintained daily.
The flowerbeds, the large swing tied to an ancient tree, and the separate music room and warm pavilion all showed how cherished the original Shen Roujia was in her family. It was quite different from what Xiao Fu had told her.
How could this be considered having poor relationships with everyone?
Shen Roujia had prepared herself mentally, expecting a pitiful script and bracing for hardship with numerous strategies.
Now she realized she might have overthought things.
Shen Roujia yawned lazily on the swing. At that moment, someone gently pushed the swing.

Half-closing her eyes, she said, “Second Sister, you’re done already?”
Then Shen Roujia sighed, “I had Xiao Fu prepare gifts for you, but they seem a bit tacky now. Let’s go out and get something better for Brother.”
A soft laugh came from behind, making Shen Roujia instantly open her eyes and turn around.
Shen Hexuan looked at her with a doting smile, “Jiao Jiao, your return alone has made Siqi and me very happy.”
Shen Siqi, talking to Xiao Fu in the distance, loudly agreed, “Your brother is right.”
Shen Roujia smiled brightly, “Brother, you’re back.”
Shen Hexuan nodded slightly. Shen Siqi, proudly showing off, said, “He’s been teaching at White Stone Academy for the past few days. One of his students might be a future top scholar.”
Shen Roujia didn’t know what White Stone Academy was, but it seemed prestigious in the capital.
With bright eyes, Shen Roujia said, “With Brother’s talent, it wouldn’t be surprising if you taught several top scholars.”
Shen Siqi’s tone held an unconscious warmth, “You’re such a sweet talker.”
Blushing slightly, Shen Roujia jumped off the swing and patted her hands playfully, “I’m just telling the truth.”
Shen Siqi and Shen Hexuan exchanged glances and laughed heartily.
Shen Roujia wasn’t sure how long she could stay at the Shen residence, given her identity as the Crown Princess, which limited her freedom.
Reflecting on this, Shen Roujia began to wonder why the original host was so distant from her family.
From what Shen Siqi mentioned, they had plans to handle such a marriage, but the original host had insisted otherwise.
Before they could get too comfortable, two maids hurriedly approached Shen Hexuan, respectfully saying, “Master, there’s an invitation from the Grand Princess.”
Shen Hexuan took the invitation, “We’ve just arrived, and the news has already spread outside.”
Curious, Shen Roujia peeked over.
After reading, Shen Hexuan said nonchalantly, “Spring Banquet... sounds interesting. Siqi, take good care of Jiao Jiao tomorrow.”
He handed the invitation to Shen Roujia, who saw it was an invitation specifically naming her and her elder sister, Shen Siqi.
Shen Siqi glanced at it and laughed, “News travels fast in the capital. I owe this chance to my sister.”
Shen Roujia laughed, “What are you saying, Second Sister?”
Shen Hexuan, thinking it over, reassured, “The Listening Bamboo Cottage is in the western hills. The Grand Princess won’t invite too many people. It’s a good chance to relax.”
Shen Hexuan didn’t stay long, as he seemed to have other matters to attend to. He was called away by a guard.
Seeing Shen Siqi still busy, Shen Roujia couldn’t help but ask, “Second Sister, why haven’t I heard about this Grand Princess in the palace?”
