Harem Incubus System: I Can Only Seduce And Tame Supernatural Beauties-Chapter 24: Sign Of A Comeback
Chapter 24 - Sign Of A Comeback
"Mason! Watch out!" Neo exclaimed as he stared up at the large beast, it's eyes turned red and it swiftly emitted a red beam of energy from it's eyes towards the Mason who was stuck airborne.
'Shit!" As the red beam of energy rippled through the air, cutting a searing path toward Mason, he stretched out his right hand. Power surged from his palm in a pulse of telekinetic force, colliding with the incoming blast. The impact detonated in a burst of light and sound, a shockwave tearing through the air as energy clashed with energy, propelling him back to the ground.
"Mason!" Neo rushed towards his side as the beast released a resounding roar that shook the grounds. "Are you alright!?"
"Ugh... Feels like that time tried it after two weeks." He groaned, holding the side of his head with his palms.
"What are you talking about?"
"Nothing! Besides aren't you supposed to be helping me, teammate?" Neo pushed himself to his feet, brushing the dust from his clothes with sharp, practiced movements. His gaze locked onto the beast, which roared and charged toward them with relentless ferocity.
"I'm not sure how, that beast is far out of my league." Neo's voice trembled as he whispered a reply, the fear threading through his words unmistakable. The thought of facing a literal S-rank beast—an opponent whose power he knew all too well—tightened like a vise around his chest.
'Tch, this guy really is useless.' As the beast approached them, he ran up the body of the beast once more and attacked it swiftly, continuously delivering powerful barrage of kicks and blows on it's body.
[What are you doing master?]
'System? You're still with me? For a moment I thought you abandoned me or something.'
[I didn't realize you required my aid in defeating a mere beast, it's surprising you struggle this much.]
'You realize I'm fighting a literal S-rank beast!?'
[And you realize you possess the Incubus bloodline? Such creatures are far below your current strength, especially creatures controlled by another spirit caster.]
'What!? Controlled?'
[That's right, there are no records of the existence of such beasts, and judging the the amount of spiritual energy surrounding them, these beasts are merely artificial creations achieved by a spirit caster's ability. Most likely a conjurer.]
'They aren't real? That means..'
[This domain is merely the ability of a powerful conjurer.]
"What are you trying to do?" Neo asked out of worries as none of his attacks proved effective against the beast.
'If these beasts truly are just summons, system, do you have the ability to scan the beast for possible vital points? If they are just summons, that means the caster must be controlling them somehow.'
[Yes I can.]
[Initiating scan.]
[Scan complete. One vital point located, there seems to be a large concentration of spiritual energy at the base of the neck.]
A smile curled up Mason's lips.
After a grueling climb up the creature's massive frame, he finally reached its neck. Without hesitation, he drove a swift, precise kick into the base of it. The beast lurched forward with a guttural roar, stumbling under the sudden blow.
Neo's eyes widened slightly as he caught the creature's reaction to Mason's strike. The way it staggered—its momentary loss of control didn't go unnoticed. His gaze sharpened.
"His neck!" He exclaimed.
"That must be his weak spot!" He let out a shout as Mason flipped backward through the air, landing gracefully behind the beast. His ability faded, the glow dimming from his form, but a confident smile tugged at his lips as he fixed his gaze on the exposed nape of its neck.
"Alright!"
[0:13]
Mason sprinted up the creature's spine, each step fueled by urgency—time was slipping through their fingers. Reaching its shoulder, he stretched his hand forward, summoning another surge of telekinetic energy.
But the beast reacted with a startling speed, flinging its massive arms outward. The sudden motion sent a shockwave through its body, throwing Mason off balance. His footing slipped, and before he could recover, he tumbled from its shoulder, plummeting toward the ground below.
With one, precise strike, the beast flung its massive hand to it's side, landing a powerful slap on Mason and blew him back into the ground.
"Mason!"
As Mason slammed into the ground with a grunt, the beast slowly turned its attention to Neo. Its jaws parted wide, an ominous hum filling the air as golden light began to swirl within its mouth.
The energy pulsed and gathered, growing brighter and more intense with each passing second—an impending torrent of spiritual power building toward a devastating release.
[Master, I am detecting a powerful surge of spiritual energy growing exponentially.]
[Estimated Chance Of Survival if hit — 0%]
"Neo! Get out of there!"
Neo's eyes widened to their limit, his breath catching in his throat as the sheer force of the spiritual energy locked onto him. His heart pounded like war drums, each beat echoing the threat before him.
A sharp tremor ran through his hands as they vibrated uncontrollably, as if gripped by an electric current. It was a sensation he knew all too well—raw, overwhelming power aimed with deadly intent.
Death.
Without a second thought, he ran the other way, gripped entirely by fear. 'I'm gonna die!'
With a thunderous roar, the beast emitted all the gathered energy directly at Neo, travelling at a great speed.
"Neo!"
[00:03]
As the ball of condensed energy surged toward him, Neo froze—rooted in place by the sheer magnitude of what was coming. His eyes widened, his mouth parted slightly, not in a scream, but in silent shock.
The world around him seemed to melt away. Noise dulled, colors deepened, and time slowed to a crawl—each second stretching with weightless clarity. His breath steadied, and his heart no longer racing but pulsing with a rhythm that felt not his own, but part of something greater.
'Huh?' He thought.
'What is this sensation...'
Despite the looming danger behind him, he didn't feel frightened or scared, it was the opposite, he was in danger yet he could feel it at his back.
It was a feeling he didn't know how to explain, all his doubt evaporated. The fear, the chaos, the uncertainty—they all fell silent beneath the hum of silence.
"What are you doing Neo!? Get out of there!"
The moment the ball of energy reached him, Neo's eyes flared to a brilliant white, cutting through the chaos like twin beacons. Steam hissed and curled from his skin, rising in thick, swirling clouds as if his body was rapidly regenerating.
The air around him shimmered with raw power, the impact fueling a surge of life and strength that radiated from every fiber of his being.
Subconsciously, he muttered.
"Spirit Art..."
