Harem Legion: Queens of the Apocalypse-Chapter 8 You Lock Me Out, I Lock You Down
"It was my fault for blaming you... Is there anything I can do to help now?"
Emily’s calm surprised Magnus. He had grabbed her shoulders hard, but she didn’t resist. Her clear eyes stayed fixed on him. "I’ll make it up to you."
"You..."
Magnus froze for a moment. His mind flashed back to the "make it up" Emily had offered him in the previous life. He could still feel her pussy wrapped tight around his cock - hot, wet, desperate to keep him inside. Not even anger could reach him now.
Avoiding her gaze, he forced himself to look at Sarah and the others. "Isabel Finch, Chloe Clark, Olivia Lawrence - your bodies should already feel a bit different. I don’t have time to explain. Go get at least ten sets of quilts and sheets. Move them here, fast."
"Emily, Sarah, Taylor..." He took a breath, steadying himself. "I’m going to read off a list of names. You three, track these girls down. Bring them here. You’ve got ten minutes, do what you can."
He racked his brain, forcing himself to remember the names of every Ice Regiment girl who’d once fought beside him - some even saved his life. Each name carried blood and memory.
Only six minutes had passed when the screaming started - floors four and five above them, followed by waves of shrieking on the first and second floors. The endtime creatures had broken in much sooner than expected. Chaos was rising fast inside the dorm building.
Magnus dragged four corpses to either side of the dorm entrance, piling them up and covering them with quilts. He laid burning sheets on top, creating a makeshift fire barricade, then turned and shouted to the girls already assembled in the main hall.
"All of you! Throw a quilt over your back, ignite a sheet, and lay it on top of that quilt! Stay behind me and charge straight out! Make sure the fire’s on your back! Move! Light it up at the door now - fast! We don’t have time!"
There was no room for thinking. The few girls still lucid immediately followed orders.
Magnus turned one last time to Sarah, Emily, and the others. "Stick close behind me when we move. Get in the truck, and don’t forget - throw the blankets on the roof as soon as you’re in! One more thing - until I give the word, no one steps out of that truck! Got it?"
Three or four girls, already screaming, had slapped the burning sheets onto their backs. Magnus strapped on the safety helmet, helped Sarah and Emily with theirs, and fixed the burning sheets behind them. Then he drew in a deep breath and flung open the door to the fourth-floor corridor.
He was the first one out.
He moved fast, cutting down two centipedes and a spider that had crawled onto the Warrior truck. Once the path was clear, he swung open the truck door and shoved Liana, Sarah, Emily, and Taylor inside.
Then he ran around and jumped into the driver’s seat, turning back to shout at the wave of girls trailing them -
"Follow my truck! We’re headed to the staff dorms!"
Corpses littered the campus field. The Humvee rumbled forward, crushing bodies beneath its wheels. Behind it, a long trail of flames twisted like a dragon, screams echoing from within that fiery chaos.
The only thing worth being grateful for - Dormitory 3 wasn’t far from the staff building, barely 300 meters away. But just as Magnus’s Humvee neared the underground parking of the staff dorm, he slammed the brakes hard and barked at the girls, "Stay put! Don’t move a muscle. Emily, get over here. You drive. The moment I give the signal, head straight for the parking lot!"
With that, he grabbed a watermelon knife, leapt out, and bolted toward the entrance of the underground lot.
It was those two damn truck drivers who had helped him earlier!
He had no clue when they circled back, but now they were here, along with thirty-some male students wrapped in bedsheets, wielding broken chair legs and mop handles, backs to the rolling shutter, struggling to fight off the monsters clawing their way in.
The two drivers were inside, hurling rocks at the lock on the gate.
"Get outta the way!" Magnus shouted, charging in with his knife. The group of boys hesitated a moment, then parted instinctively. Magnus reached into his pocket, pulled out two wires, and worked the lock.
The drivers quickly hauled the heavy gate open.
The boys and both drivers rushed into the parking garage. Magnus signaled to Emily, and the Humvee followed in. From the vehicle, he grabbed a can of gasoline, dumped it at the entrance, lit it, then turned and raced back to retrieve the rest of the girls.
But just as he arrived with the final group of thirty-plus girls - he saw it. The rolling shutter had been shut.
"Sons of bitches," he spat. His face darkened. He kicked the door hard, shouting, "Everyone inside, hear me? If you’re trying to leave me and these girls to die, I’ll ram this whole door down and make damn sure you die with us!"
He grabbed the shutter and tried pulling it up. It barely got halfway before someone inside yanked it back down.
By now, some girls’ blankets had caught fire, others had already burned through. Their long hair was blazing. Screams echoed as they tore off their covers. A few, unable to bear the heat, turned in panic. The monsters that had been lurking nearby pounced.
Blood. Screams. Silence.
Fury burning in his gut, Magnus kicked at the shutter door wildly. With one savage blow after another, he dented the metal in. He roared, "Get this damn door open now! Or I swear, I’ll tear it down and take you all to hell with me!"
He smashed the door over ten times before the gate buckled, and someone finally began lifting it. A dozen cautious male students stood guard just inside. Outside, only six of the girls remained.
Magnus cursed, grabbed them, and dashed inside.
Two boys slammed the door shut behind them.
They tried to kill me...
Magnus had seen this kind of backstabbing before in the apocalypse - but they made a fatal mistake.
They shouldn’t have let him back in...
