Hated By The Alpha-Chapter 140: Dead or Alive?

Wolves howled loudly from all over the pack as they felt their bond with their Alpha break, they k ow what it meant...the Alpha was dead.

They’ve lost the battle.

Elena cackled like a mad woman, her eyes maliciously victorious as she stared at Audrey.

"You lost! Hahaha!" Elena threw her head back and laughed evily.

She stared down at Alpha Lake’s dead body, then up at Audrey, and then sent her a an evil grin.

"It’s over sister, give up," Elena walked over Alpha Lake’s body and slowly walked to Audrey.

Audrey was brooding with unimaginable rage, her insides were twisting with revenge and she was so damn sure she was going to get her revenge, right away.

She forced herself to remove her eyes from Alohs Lake’s lifeless body on the ground, and amidst the still noisy clearing, she robed out every other sound, channelling all her focus on the lady who was walking over to her with a crazy smirk on her face.

"Now, kneel and submit to m - Arghhhh!" Elena screamed, horrified a she statred down at Audrey’s hand plunged deep in her chest.

Audrey’s eyes was glowing golden, she didn’t look human in that moment, she had teleported to Elena in a blink of an eye and shoved her hand right into her heart.

She tilted her head to the side as she stared down at Elena’s horrified face, "I should have doen this centuries ago, sister," Audrey squeezed Elena’s chest, making her scream helplessly.

Elena’s face turned ashen, she knew there was no escaping this time, seeing Audrey’s body glowing that way, she accepted her fate, actually, she had always known she could never defeat Audrey, she just wanted to prove a point, that she xould also be as powerful as her, but now, she had seen that she was never meant to be that powerful, she was never me to be with in the first place, and from the moment shebhad picked up Audrey’s spell book ventures ago, she knew her end would be disastrous.

She looked up at Audrey and managed a little unsettling smile, "Y-you’re really g-going to k-kill your only s-sister?" Elena coughed out a mouthful of blood, choking as she struggled to raise her shaky hands to Ariel’s face.

Audrey watched her, keeping a steady hold on her beating heart within her chest. Her face was devoid if any human emotion as she said, "Your powers are mine, and now, watch me drain everything single essence out from you," Audrey whispered menacingly.

In the next second, her amulet glowed brightly and from the point where her hand was embedded into Elena’s chest, dark foggy shadows seeped out from there seeping right into Audrey’s amulet.

"N-no, n-no, p-please...don’t take away my s-soul..." She coughed, spurting out blood. "I-It’s my only c-chance at reincarnation..."

Audrey lifted her the corner of her lips in a scornful smile, "Don’t worry, you won’t be reincarnating," She focused drawing through last piece of essence from Elena and the moment she was sure there was nothing left in her aprr from her beating heart, she forcefully tore her heart out.

Blood flowed out from Elena’s opened chest, her nose, her eyes, her mouth. She was a picture of goth.

She heavily fell on her knees, eayes darkened as she stared into space.

Audrey raised her hand high and squeezed Elena’a heart in her hand till it hurts, the blood splashing over her face, but she didn’t care. This was the end.

Silence...

Silence suddenly reigned on the chaotic battle field. The dark creatures had all turned to dust at the same moment Elena’s heart was destroyed.

Everyone paused their actuon in surprise and slowly turned to look at Audrey, and when they saw Elena lying front of her, they all started to shout. Shout of victory, but Audrey didn’t feel victory all, she threw the remaining muscle from Elena’s chest to the ground and staggered over at Alpha Lake’s body, falling on her knees beside him.

"Noo!!!" She threw her head back and screamed painfully.

She felt like it was her heart she had just torn out from chest, pain was the only thing jer body could feel. Not physical pain, but emotional pain.

As she stared at Alpha Lake’s closed eyes, she felt defeated all over again, her hands shaky as she slowly raised it to his face and carried his cheeks.

"Lake..." Shw whispered, her voice broken as sje laid her forehead on top of his, tears falling freely from her eyes.

After everything, he still died. Then what was the purpose of her reincarnation if she wouldn’t get to be with her mate? Why did she have to endure all the sufferings just to lose him in the end?!

"You failed me, Selena," Audrey whispered angrily.

"You lied to me," she sniffed, her heart heavy, breathing was becoming difficult for her, and she so wished she could die now.

What was the purpose of living?

’I’m sorry, Audrey. But Karma and Nature-’

"Fuck Karma and Nature!" Audrey said angrily, gripping Alpha Lake’s arm.

’I’m sorry...but I didn’t know how to tell you, nature and Karma has already recognized him. You might not know, but your souls already bound as one, even without marking, he was bound to die,’ Selena explained sadly.

"Audrey," Miranda squatted beside Audrey, gently rubbing her back as she sobbed.

Audrey slowly looked up, and just like her vission, her friends gathered around her, looking sympathetically at her and at Alpha Lake’s body.

"I don’t want to live anymore," Audrey said, her face devoid of any emotion. She turned to Miranda and picked up a dagger beside her and handed it over to her.

"Please, end my misery amd kill me now, kill me now! please! Just kill me!" She threw herself at Miranda and wailed like a kid, her body shaking like a leaf.

"Oh no! No, no, no, don’t talk like that, dear, it not the end of the world," Mirabda spoke softly.

"It is," Audrey removed herself from her aind and fell on top of Alpha Lake.

"I’m sorry I failed you," She cupped her face, kissing his cold lips.

This was her weaknesss, she could do almost everything with her powers but not rasing the dead, even in her previous life, she never had that power, a d now, she really wished she had the ability to raise the dead.

Audrey was crying not paying attention to her surrounding, soon, she felt her body getting warmer and warmer, and when she noticed and loked at her skin, she saw the light of the amulet glowing from within her skin.

"What’s going on?" Audrey asked no one in particular.

’Take out the sword, Catherine,’ the sculptures voice commanded.

Audrey frowned and looked down at Alpha Lake and looked up at her friends, Maria walked over and squatted beside her.

"Your glowing, Audrey," Maria said softly.

Audrey nodded, wiping her tears.

"The sculpture asked me to remove the sword," Audrey informed, looking at Miranda.

Miranda frowned, but then nodded.

She waved over a few men who turned Alpha Lake to the side, holding g him steady for Audrey.

"Are you sure you want to be the one to pull it out?" Miranda asked, concerned.

Audrey nodded, "Yes, it’s the least I can do for him," She said.

She room a deep breath and placed her hands around the sword, closing her eyes, she slowly pulled out the sword from Alpha Lake’s back.

As she ope Ed her eyes and placed the sword aside, she could still see a little blood trickling down from his deep wound, tears started flowing anew in her eyes as she tried using her hand to stop the flow.

’Selena always told you to listen to the amulet, if you did, you would have realized the amazing power it held," The sculpture’s sounded again in her head.

She furrowed her brows, "What arebyou talking about?" She questioned with her breaking voice.

’Nature and Katma had taling their course, but we’re about to reverse their action,’ said the sculpture.

Audrey’s eyes widened in a little understanding, pure hope tiding within her.

Her body seemed to intensify in golden amd reddish hues, the amulet blinding.

"I can make him come to life agian?" She questioned hopefully.

’Yes, Catherine, but, lime I told you, magic comes with a price,’ said the sculpture.

Audrey nodded, "Whatever it is, I’m ready," she rushed her reply, impatient.

’Audrey, the consequences are heavy and severe,’ Selena reminded.

’I do t mind! We don’t mind!’ Avery replied, her voice desperate.

"Yes, Selena, we don’t mind," Audrry replied.

’Bring him back to life, all his memories of you shall be gone, nothing about you will Interest him, you shall become a stra fer to him, and, if you think you’ll just have to remind him about yourself, the day you try doing so, the pain of the old memories shall consume amd kill him. Do you still want to bring him back to life?’ The sculpture asked quietly after explaining everything to her.

"Yes. I’d rather have him forget me than die," Audrey replied firmly.

’You have to stay away from him, as seeing you might force memories, and forced memories, will lead to his death, with no chance of resurrection,’ Selena informed kindly.

Audey clenched her wrists, she didn’t like the conditions, but it was the only option she had, knowing he was still alive somewhere on earth made her mind be at a little peace.

"I accept," She said.

And, in the next second, her amulet directed its light to Alpha Lake’s body, engulfing him in a bright humming light.

Everyone around put their hands over their eyes, shielding from the increasing brightness.
