Chapter 202: What Is Dao?

With this, their new Spiritual Dantian had formed. Their transformation to shed mortality had been completed.

Both Huan Caiyi and Zhi Hui hadn’t opened their eyes yet, as their Spiritual Dantian was still absorbing the spirit qi provided by the heavens themselves.

"They have transcended successfully. Given their talents, it was a given, though. Now let me teach you two a little bit about the Dao.

You must have heard that laws are fragments of the Dao, right? Then what is the Dao?

You see, the Dao is the origin and the destination. It is everything, yet nothing. It flows through the heavens, governs the natural world, and exists even in silence. It is not something you can touch, and yet, it touches all.

The Dao cannot be fully explained. To understand it is to walk it. To walk it is to surrender to it, and yet you can shape it through your own will.

Dao is a vast concept. Unless you walk the path yourself, you will never understand its tapestry.

Once someone reaches the Heavenly King Realm and obtains the seed of law, their journey on the path of Dao begins.

As for how you advance, that can only be truly understood once you reach that level.

But overall, there are two ways to advance. First is by comprehending the laws. In this method, when you comprehend, the heavenly law itself provides you with spirit qi to improve your cultivation realm according to your understanding of Dao.

The second is similar to the previous method of cultivation. Although your spiritual roots and meridians are destroyed, it doesn’t mean you can’t absorb spirit qi. In fact, you absorb it from your whole body instead of just through meridians.

All the qi is absorbed by your Spiritual Dantian. But in this case, only your cultivation realm increases—you won’t gain any comprehension from the heavens to compensate for your understanding.

Also, you can’t break through to the next minor stage unless you comprehend the equivalent of a law. This is called a bottleneck in your cultivation path.

But there is one benefit to doing it—your ability to comprehend the law equivalent to your cultivation realm becomes easier if you’ve already raised your cultivation through absorbing spirit qi and using resources.

However, not many do this. Do you know why? Because the amount required to cultivate using spirit qi in the Heavenly King Realm is far beyond imagination.

It’s not a gradual increase like how the resource requirements rise from the Nascent Soul Realm to the Void Reversion Realm—it’s more like thousands of times greater.

It’s as if the heavens don’t want you to progress without comprehending the Dao."

Jiang Hao and Ming Yue listened attentively. The cultivation process beyond the Heavenly King Realm was truly different from anything they had imagined.

"Now, let’s talk about how it is different for those who possess special constitutions like the two of you.

You don’t have spiritual roots like normal cultivators from the very beginning. The only thing that will be destroyed during your breakthrough are your meridians.

As for how you get your law seed? Actually, you don’t—not for the element belonging to your physique.

The law seed is simply your physique. You must have seen it in a form that defines your physique most perfectly. Mine is in the form of fractured rifts.

Now, how do you progress? It’s also very simple. Unlike normal cultivators who need to comprehend laws—you don’t have to.

You can actively comprehend your law, but even if you don’t, you will still improve with time just by sitting and doing nothing. Your physique will grant you comprehension from time to time, allowing you to progress even if you don’t want to."

Yin Ni had a small smile as she said that.

Jiang Hao and Ming Yue were thoroughly stunned. Didn’t that mean even if they didn’t cultivate, they would still improve? ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com

"What’s with that look? You thought physiques like Heavenly and Celestial were enviable just because they grant unimaginable battle strength? Think again. Because at the very top, battle strength depends on how far you’ve progressed in your Dao.

And Heavenly and Celestial physiques are the best way to reach the peak of your Dao, a place only a few truly supreme geniuses are able to reach.

Also, as I said—you can actively cultivate your law too. All you have to do is enter your physique and meditate there. You’ll understand what I mean later, as you can’t even perceive laws yet.

Your physique, in itself, is a Dao. You don’t need external sources to increase your comprehension process.

That’s all you need to know for now about the qi cultivation process. As for body cultivators, it’s a little different.

Blood cores are inherently part of the body, so they don’t enter your nascent soul. They stay in the body. But the spiritual roots will still wither to create law seeds.

That seed will enter the soul sea too. If body cultivators sprout them, they come back and take root in the blood core of the cultivator.

Now the process is similar to how you must comprehend laws in qi cultivation. The more you comprehend, the more your seed will grow. The only difference is that since the seed resides in your blood core, your body gets infused with the laws you comprehend.

The more it is infused, the stronger it becomes, gradually breaking through by drawing heavenly qi.

Another way is to consume resources related to your law and let the seed be nourished, similar to how resources are used in qi cultivation. And yes, it is equally tremendous."

Jiang Hao and Ming Yue nodded. They understood the gist of it. But there was one thing Jiang Hao was thinking about—it was about those who cultivated both.

Still, he doubted he needed to ask. He could already guess the answer, and there was no doubt Senior Yin Ni would tell them anyway.

Sure enough, they heard her voice again.

"Thinking about those who cultivate both?"

Jiang Hao nodded.

"Nothing different. You forget, seeds are usually born out of comprehension. A person with water spiritual roots who has practiced an ice cultivation technique will have two seeds—one for their spiritual root, which is water, and one for their comprehension of ice.

Similarly, a cultivator who cultivates both will have two seeds—one for their qi cultivation and one for their body cultivation, depending on what they’ve cultivated so far."

Jiang Hao and Ming Yue nodded. So they would get two law seeds for the same element—one for their Dantian, and one for their blood core if they have cultivated similar elemental cultivation technique for both.

Suddenly, the flow of qi decreased, and they all looked toward Huan Caiyi and Zhi Hui.
