Help, I'm in Another World and All the Men Are So Hot! [BL]-Chapter 59: A Curious Experiment in Pajamas
But Damien had relied on Theo for so much, so he figured he’d try his best to endure and cooperate.
"So, where are we doing this experiment? And, um, should I stay in this outfit? Should I change?"
Both Damien and Theo were still in their pajamas from the night before.
Damien hadn’t left the bedroom all morning, so it wasn’t surprising he was still in his pajamas. But Theo also hadn’t changed, which made Damien wonder if this was more like casual loungewear for him. Still, was it really okay to wear pajamas during an experiment?
When Damien thought of "experiments," he imagined wearing something like a hospital gown.
"Hmm, well then, first of all, take off everything," Theo said with a smile.
"Master," Sebas’s voice interjected quickly.
So, no need to undress, Damien thought, relieved.
"...Today, we’re just going to do some interviews, so you can stay as you are," Theo added, sounding a little disappointed.
He seemed slightly sulky, which Damien found cute. Still, how often was Theo in this mood? It felt like a lot more lately. Damien had not expected this side of Theo when they first met.
Not that Damien didn’t know the cause—he had a pretty good idea, actually—but he decided not to dwell on it. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
"Well, I’m glad I don’t have to undress, but are you sure it’s okay to stay in pajamas?" Damien asked.
"Yes, since we won’t be leaving the second floor today, this is fine," Theo replied.
"The second floor?"
"The second floor of this mansion is entirely your private area, Master Theo. It’s not the most proper way to spend the day, but as long as you don’t go downstairs, Sir Damien, you may dress however you like," Sebas explained further, seeing the confusion on Damien’s face.
"Oh, I see..."
It did feel a bit improper, as Sebas had mentioned, but if they said it was fine, Damien was happy to stay comfortable in his pajamas for the day.
Theo, as an enthusiast of anything from another world, didn’t seem all that excited, suggesting this was probably more work-related for him. Damien decided that if Theo was reluctantly working, the least he could do was spoil him a bit outside of work today.
...
"W-Wait, are we seriously doing this in these outfits?"
"Yes, of course!" Theo replied enthusiastically.
Theo was lying down, resting his head on Damien’s lap.
This had all come about after Damien, determined to spoil Theo a little, had suggested they do it in a spot Theo liked. This was the result. At first, Theo had faced the other direction, with his face pressed awkwardly close to Damien’s crotch, but the positioning made it hard to hear him, so Damien had asked him to turn around.
This didn’t look like the posture of someone preparing to work, but Theo had promised he was serious. Damien decided to trust him for now.
If things got even a little out of hand, Sebas, who was also acting as a record-keeper, had promised to step in and put a stop to it.
"Are you really sure this is okay?" Damien asked again, still not fully convinced.
"If you don’t take this seriously, there will be no reward," Damien warned, trying to keep things in check.
"Of course, I understand completely. As I mentioned earlier, today is just for interviews, so this will be fine," Theo responded confidently.
Interviews, huh? Damien thought. At least that didn’t sound painful, but what was Theo going to ask him? He wasn’t planning on lying, but the whole thing made him feel nervous.
"So, first question... When was your first ejaculation?" Theo asked casually.
Wait, what?! What on earth is this idiot talking about?
"Sebas," Damien called out.
Sebas was immediately on his feet, ready to intervene with a referee stop.
"W-Wait, please! I was just trying to understand the physiological differences between humans from Earth and us!" Theo desperately tried to explain. "I got a little too curious and skipped a few steps, but I swear, I wasn’t joking around!"
Theo’s frantic defense made Damien glance at him closely. There was no black mist around Theo, meaning he wasn’t lying or messing around.
Damien gave a small nod to Sebas, raising his hand as a sign to show everything was fine. Sebas didn’t seem to understand the gesture, but he got the idea and sat back down.
"Please stick to the procedure, Master Theo," Sebas said firmly.
"Y-Yes, I’m sorry. I got ahead of myself," Theo admitted with a sigh of relief, clearly glad his explanation had been accepted.
"Theo, there won’t be a next time, okay?" Damien warned sternly.
"Y-Yes..." Theo nodded, looking a bit embarrassed.
"Right, let’s start by re-examining the effects of the translation magic tool," Theo said, shifting into a more serious tone. Though, he was still resting his head on Damien’s lap, which made it hard to take the situation completely seriously.
Damien suspected the reason it all felt so unserious was because of their current setup. Still, since Theo insisted he was being professional, Damien decided to trust him—for now.
If Theo was going to take this seriously, Damien knew he had to do the same.
"So, the translation tool is this, right?" Damien asked, lifting the silver necklace hanging around his neck.
"Yes, exactly. It’s been in our family’s treasury for 800 years, so there are some things about its effects that are still unclear. That’s why I thought it’d be important to test it properly. After all, if there are any miscommunications during the interview, it’ll be meaningless," Theo explained.
That made sense to Damien. If they couldn’t communicate properly, the entire interview would fall apart. However, there was something else bothering Damien even more at the moment.
"Um, sorry to interrupt, but..."
"Is it really okay for me to just keep something this valuable?" Damien asked, feeling uneasy now that he knew the necklace had been stored in the treasury. He had always assumed it was precious, but hearing that it came from the family’s vault made him even more self-conscious about holding onto it.
