"Although, I won’t be feeding you all Cores anymore. The bodies are all yours to feast!"

"AAAOOO!!" The Ungraded Wolves roared in excitement.

They understood the implications of that. By eating all the bodies here, even the weakest of them would at least reach Level 7!

"Now dig in!" Xavier ordered.

The wolves didn’t hold back either as they ate all of the corpses.

Soon, a few of them glowed with an earthen light.

Within half an hour, there were 3 more new Feral Grade Level One Earthen Wolves.

Even the weakest one had reached Level 8!

Now, there were 10 Feral Grade Wolves, 1 had comprehended the Principle Of Fire, whereas the other 9 had comprehended the Principle Of Earth. The remaining 12 wolves were still Ungraded. However, among them there were 5 who had reached Level 10 and 5 had reached Level 9 and 2 were Level 8.

Xavier looked at his forces with a gaze filled with pride.

’I plan to make most of them reach Level 6 Feral Grade and then split them into hunting groups with a Level 7 Feral Grade Monster as a Leader of each hunting group.’

’That way, they might run into a Monster that has comprehended the Principles I want. I refuse to believe there isn’t a single Monster in this forest that does not have those Principles. It might be that those Monsters are not in the outskirts region but rather deeper into the forest. I’ve to give it my all.’

’However, that might take a while. Well, it’s as they say, the fruit of patience is always sweet.’

"My brave warriors!"

The wolves all turned to look at Xavier, their previous happy faces gone and was replaced by a serious expression as the listened attentively to what Xavier was saying and looking at the hand motions. That’s right, whenever Xavier talks to the wolves, he by default uses his hands to explain to them what he was saying.

"I want all of you except Fyrex and Seismar to secure the perimeter! Now!"

’It’s time for me to level up!’

The wolves roared in agreement as they moved out of the cave and surrounded the borders of their territory.

Xavier looked at Fyrex and Seismar, the only 2 wolves remaining.

"Fyrex and Seismar. I need you to guard the entrance and make sure that no one enters!"

"Aaaoo!"

Fyrex and Seismar roared and did as told.

Now there was only Xavier in the cave.

He sat on top of a rock and placed the remaining Cores there. There were 4 Cores left. All of them belonged to Ungraded Monsters of varying levels. The first Core belonged to a Level 7 Monster, the second Core belonged to a Level 8 Monster, the third Core belonged to a Level 10 Ungraded Monster.

’First off, the Level 7 Core. It’ll barely help me but still better than nothing.’

’Then, its time for me to Transcend.’ he thought as he sat on the stone with crossed legs.

Inside a dimly lit room,

There were a handful of people sitting in the room around a rectangular table. Their faces serious. At the head of the table, sat a middle-aged man.

The man bore a dignified and commanding presence. He had short, tousled brown hair with subtle gray streaks and a neatly trimmed beard and mustache, giving him a mature and noble appearance. He stern and confident expression, with slightly narrowed eyes.

He wore a lavish red cloak trimmed with thick white fur draped over his shoulders, which added to his regal and imposing demeanor. Beneath the cloak, he donned an elegant white garment adorned with gold accents and an ornate blue and gold cross-shaped clasp across the chest.

The man looked at the people gathered in the room. The people felt his heavy gaze and lowered their heads.

After a while of complete silence, that seemed to stretch for an eternity, the middle-aged man finally opened his mouth.

"Department Chief Yufella." he said in a heavy voice.

"Y-yes, my Lord." Yufella stutteringly responded.

"You say that you’ve found the location of that weapon?"

"Yes, my lord." Yufella responded not stuttering any longer however, she was still very nervous.

"Where is it then?" he asked.

"Unfortunately, my lord the exact location is unknown. However, we know the general location." Yufella answered.

"And where is that?"

"It’s..."

Yufella hesitated.

"Speak up already!" The middle-aged man raised his voice up a notch. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺

"I-its in the Barony of Thatcha!" Yufella spoke up.

"..."

Silence reigned in the room as the words fell.

It was after well over a minute that the middle-aged man opened his mouth, his voice filled with anger.

"So you’re telling me that, that weapon is in the territory of the Duchy of Strata!?"

BANG!

The man slammed the table with his fist.

Everyone was on edge as they waited for the man- no, Duke Cranbell’s next move. Depending on what he says they might have to prepare for war.

"Haah... haah..." Duke Cranbell took deep breaths trying to calm his nerves.

’Initially I was gleeful that the weapon’s location had been found, but now...’

"Grr..." Duke Cranbell gnashed his teeth, rage bubbling up within him.

’Out of all the Dukedom Territories, it had to be in that goddamn wretched witch’s territory!’

’I’ve no doubt that if I order my agents to retrieve it that witch would kill them the moment they step foot into her Territory.’

’Even if they manage to retrieve the weapon that witch would find out later on that it was me behind all of this and use that as a Casus Belli to launch a war against me. And I need to avoid that at all costs for now.’

’I need to conserve strength. War should be the last thought in my mind for now.’

"Haah..." Duke Cranbell sighed as he sunk in his seat.

’There is only one way now.’

"Advisor Brock."

"Yes, my Lord!"

"Cooperate with Department Chief Yufella and reward the people who found out the location."

"Yes!"

"Yes, my Lord."

"You are now promoted to Secretary of the Intelligence Department."
