Chapter 398: Congratulations on the Marriage, Also We’re Moving In

Garion was the first to step off the flying ship.

The moment his boots touched the ground, a familiar figure was already walking toward him.

Elder Rendric stood straight, hands behind his back, a calm smile on his face.

"Master Garion," Rendric said warmly. "Long time no see."

Garion laughed and stepped forward. "Yeah, long time no see, Rendric."

He gave him a slow look from head to toe, eyes narrowing slightly in amusement.

"You look... different. That tidy red hair, the well-kept beard, the glasses..."

Garion pointed at his outfit. "And that suit. You look more like a gentleman official than a gym regular."

Rendric sighed, rubbing his forehead.

"What can I do? Patriarch Raviel and Matriarch Aveline decided they’d focus on the big picture. So most of the official work on the island fell on me."

He adjusted his collar.

"If I’m handling documents and meetings all day, I can’t exactly dress like I’m about to deadlift a mountain."

Garion chuckled. "Fair enough. But don’t tell me you quit training."

Rendric shook his head immediately. "Of course not. If I stop going to the gym, how do you think I keep this body?"

He lightly tapped his chest.

Garion nodded in approval. "Good. Really good."

Then Garion noticed the woman standing quietly beside Rendric.

She had long green hair and wore a simple green dress.

Her posture was calm, composed, and confident. She met Garion’s gaze without flinching.

Garion tilted his head. "And you are...?"

Rendric smiled, clearly proud. "My wife."

Garion blinked once. "...Your what?"

"I married her after you returned to Demon Gate Island," Rendric continued calmly. "You missed it."

Garion looked genuinely surprised. "I never heard anything about this."

Rendric turned slightly toward the woman.

"She’s Arvella Avenora from the Avenora Clan. Also a grand elder. Very good with official work and actually better than me in some areas."

The woman gave a polite nod. "Nice to meet you, Master Garion."

Rendric laughed softly. "We worked together a lot, argued even more, and somehow understood each other... and then it just happened."

Garion stared at them for a moment, then broke into a wide grin.

"Well, damn," he said honestly. "Congratulations. Both of you."

Rendric’s smile widened, and Arvella relaxed a little, the stiffness in her shoulders easing.

She stepped forward and gave a polite nod. "Thank you, Master Garion."

Then she tilted her head slightly, curiosity clear in her eyes. "By the way... why did you bring so many people here?"

Garion scratched the back of his head. "Ah, that. I’m actually planning to move everyone out of Demon Gate Island for a while."

Rendric and Arvella stiffened at the same time.

Rendric frowned. "Move out?"

Arvella’s brows knit together. "Did something happen? Is the island damaged?"

She hesitated, then asked more seriously, "Or... did another demonic tide appear?"

Garion burst out laughing and waved his hand. "No, no, nothing like that."

Both of them froze for a second, then slowly relaxed.

"It’s not broken," Garion continued.

"And there’s no demonic disaster. I just have another project planned for Demon Gate Island."

Rendric narrowed his eyes. "Project?"

Garion nodded. "A big one. And when I start it, I can’t have anyone on the island at all. It’s going to be noisy, dangerous, and very... unstable."

Arvella let out a quiet breath. "You scared us for a moment."

Rendric nodded. "Seriously. When you said ’move,’ my heart almost stopped."

Garion laughed again. "Sorry about that."

He looked around the island. "So, I was hoping to temporarily move my disciples and elders to the three God Islands."

Arvella and Rendric exchanged a glance, then smiled at the same time.

"Of course," Rendric said without hesitation. "There’s plenty of space."

Arvella nodded. "Especially on Flame God Island and Thunder God Island. Many areas there are still empty."

She gestured toward the distance. "They can choose where they want to stay. Training areas and living quarters. We can arrange everything."

Garion nodded in satisfaction. "Good. That makes things easier."

Rendric chuckled. "Honestly, having the God Gym people here might make these islands livelier."

Arvella smiled. "Just... warn us next time before you move an entire faction."

Garion raised both hands. "Noted. I’ll try to give advance notice next time."

---

Garion clapped his hands once, as if remembering something important.

"By the way... where are Raviel and Aveline? I want to talk to them."

Rendric glanced at Arvella, then nodded. "They’re in the main hall. Follow us."

Arvella turned to one of the nearby assistants and spoke quickly but calmly.

"Inform the island staff. The God Gym disciples will be staying here for a while. Handle lodging and basic arrangements."

The assistant bowed and hurried off.

Garion then looked back at his group. "Dahlia, handle Velion for now."

Dahlia raised an eyebrow. "Handle how?"

Garion smirked. "Make sure he doesn’t wander off and scare people."

Velion gave a small, awkward smile. "I’ll behave."

Dahlia waved a hand. "Relax. Just stick close and don’t do anything stupid."

Garion turned again. "Rachel, Eldrin, and the rest of you... come with me."

Rachel nodded immediately.

Eldrin gave a gentle smile and followed, with the others moving in behind them.

As they walked, Rendric and Arvella kept glancing at Eldrin, Silvar, Bastor, Varyn, and Cindor.

Their eyes lingered a bit longer than polite curiosity would.

Rendric finally cleared his throat. "These... companions of yours are quite something."

Arvella nodded. "Their presence feels different."

Garion glanced back and smiled. "You’ll understand later."

Eldrin met their eyes and inclined her head politely, saying nothing.

Cindor leaned toward Varyn and whispered, "They’re staring."

Varyn replied softly, "They’re just observing. Let them."

Silvar snorted. "If they want to test strength, I’m ready."

Bastor shot him a look. "Behave."

Garion chuckled under his breath and waved them forward. "For now, let’s meet Raviel and Aveline first."

The group continued toward the main hall, where Raviel and Aveline were already waiting.

The curiosity of why Garion was here would be answered later in the main hall.
