Heretic Trainer: The Gym Is My Cultivation Method-Chapter 427: Sunlight Versus Edgy Demon Duke
Sorien hovered calmly in front of the massive dragon. Golden light flickered faintly around him, steady and controlled.
"Before we begin," he said, voice even, "let me ask you something."
Navrel narrowed its red eyes. "What is it, human?"
"Aren’t you supposed to be sealed?" Sorien asked. "How are you out?"
Navrel let out a loud, rumbling laugh. "Of course it was those bastards from Draconia."
Its tail lashed through the air. "They released me to settle their problem with God Gym."
Dahlia, floating at a distance, folded her arms. "Told you."
Sorien’s gaze remained fixed on the dragon.
"And where are they now?" he asked calmly. "The ones who woke you."
Navrel’s grin widened. "In my belly."
It chuckled darkly. "How dare they think a few humans would be enough to satisfy me after a long seal."
Its tongue slid briefly over its fangs.
"And Draconia blood..." it added, almost pleased. "Dragon blood is far more delicious and nutritious."
Sorien nodded slowly. "I see."
His tone did not change. "Then it is time for you to die."
Navrel laughed loudly. "You think you can kill me?"
Without warning, it beat its wings forward. "[Hellfire Wing Slash]!"
Dark flaming blades shot toward Sorien, cutting through the air with destructive force.
Sorien did not move immediately and simply smirked faintly.
Golden light expanded outward.
"[Sol Radiant Order]."
A vast, bright domain unfolded from his body. The air shifted instantly. The sky above turned warmer.
The demonic pressure in the surroundings began to thin.
Navrel laughed again. "You think unleashing your domain will do anything to me?"
Sorien said nothing and simply watched.
The black flaming wings slashes entered the golden field, and soon... they slowed and visibly weakened.
Navrel’s eyes widened slightly. "How can this be?"
Sorien’s voice remained calm. "Let me explain."
He raised one hand slightly. "The Solmira Clan is known for demon extermination."
Golden light intensified around him. "Our domain is built to suppress you."
He looked directly into Navrel’s eyes. "The moment my domain appears... you are already weaker."
Navrel growled. "I am Navrel! A demonic dragon! A Demon Duke!"
Sorien nodded once. "Indeed."
He stepped forward slowly in mid-air. "If you were at full strength, you could ignore me."
His eyes sharpened. "But you have been sealed for too long."
Golden pressure increased around the dragon. "You are not at full power."
Navrel’s wings struggled slightly against the invisible suppression. "I can suppress you now."
Sorien extended his hand calmly. "[Radiant Sword Arsenal]."
Dozens of glowing swords of light manifested behind him, hovering in perfect formation.
They did not move wildly. Each one pointed directly at Navrel with steady precision.
Navrel’s expression changed.
Before it could react... "[White Judgment Formation]."
The swords rearranged instantly, forming a complex structure of light around the dragon. Lines of radiant energy connected each blade, locking space around Navrel.
"WHAT!" Navrel roared, its voice shaking the sky.
Sorien hovered calmly in front of it, hands behind his back.
"Struggling will not help," he said evenly. "Now just wait for your judgment."
He lowered one hand slightly, and the swords responded instantly.
All of them moved at once.
They shot forward without hesitation, piercing into Navrel’s wings, shoulders, and chest.
Each strike was clean and precise. There was no wasted motion.
Navrel screamed in anger as golden blades sank into its scales. "GRAAAAH!"
Dark blood splashed through the air.
Below, Dahlia narrowed her eyes slightly. "That’s brutal."
Navrel’s eyes burned red with fury. "[Devouring Roar]!"
A massive demonic shockwave burst outward from its throat, trying to shatter the formation.
The sound crashed against the golden structure.
But the swords did not break.
The roar weakened as it touched the radiant domain.
Sorien’s expression did not change. "Pointless."
Navrel roared again, pushing harder.
Black energy surged violently from its body.
For a moment, the golden swords trembled slightly.
Sorien’s eyes sharpened.
And then, Navrel moved forcibly even as its wing was torn apart and the light blades ripped deeper into its flesh.
Golden swords sliced through its scales as it forced its body to twist.
The dragon howled, its roar filled with both rage and pain.
Sorien’s brows furrowed slightly. He noticed something was off.
Navrel wasn’t trying to escape cleanly. It was forcing movement no matter the cost.
Then suddenly... Navrel lifted one massive claw and drove it straight into its own chest.
CRACK!
Its own scales shattered under the impact. Dark blood burst out and spilled into the air.
Sorien’s eyes widened just slightly. "What the hell are you..."
Navrel coughed out dark blood but then slowly raised its head. Its eyes were burning brighter than before.
"Good," it growled. "You’re forcing me."
It smirked despite the blood running down its body. "You should feel honored."
Then it roared. "[Blood of the Abyss]!"
Dark energy exploded outward. It turned into black flames that wrapped around Navrel’s body.
The demonic aura surged violently, and the golden swords began to tremble harder.
Dahlia’s expression turned serious. "He just sacrificed his own flesh."
Navrel’s wounds did not heal.
Instead, they glowed with abyssal power.
Sorien steadied his posture. "I see."
Navrel’s red eyes gleamed brighter than before, and he laughed hoarsely. "I am a Demon Duke!"
With a violent burst of energy, several golden swords shattered under the sudden increase of power.
Sorien raised one hand immediately, stabilizing the remaining formation.
Navrel tore free from the weakened structure, its body now wrapped in burning abyssal blood.
It hovered in the sky, breathing heavily but stronger than before.
Sorien did not step back, and his eyes sharpened a bit. "So this is your trump card."
Navrel’s red eyes locked onto him.
"Now," the dragon growled, voice deeper and more distorted, "you will face the real Demon Duke."
Black flames spread wider behind its wings. "I will make you pay for forcing me to use this."
Lightning flickered in the distance.
Dahlia watched from afar, her expression no longer relaxed.
The golden domain and the abyssal blood clashed silently in the sky.
Neither side was holding back.
