His After The Heartbreak (BL)-Chapter 66: Back To School
Chapter 66 - Back To School
Chapter 66-Back to School
Tyler's POV
A sharp, banging headache greeted me the moment I opened my eyes.
Damn.
I didn't even know when I fell asleep. The last thing I remembered was thinking about Logan — and the crazy shit he said to me yesterday.
What the hell came over him to say something so... ridiculous?
I let out a tired sigh, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes as I sat up on the bed.
Riiiiiiing!
That annoying alarm started blaring, filling the entire room with noise.
"Ahhh, ahhh... I got you." I muttered weakly, reaching out to turn it off.
At least I woke up before it this time.
Even if it was just a minute difference... it still counted.
I stretched out my hand, grabbing my phone from the nightstand to check if there was any important message waiting for me — or better still, if by some miracle, school got canceled.
Today was supposed to be my first day back after everything that happened.
The cheating. The humiliation. The rumors. The break.
It was time to face them all again.
I checked the school calendar.
There was class today.
I sighed heavily.
Not like I trusted the damn school calendar anyway.
I remembered back in Grade 11 when I checked the same calendar, dressed up for school, only to get there and find out classes were canceled — just because I didn't check the school group chat.
Mom called me careless for that. I couldn't let that happen again.
So, I opened the group chat to double-check.
Nothing.
No announcement. No cancellation.
That meant I was definitely going to school today.
I honestly wished there wasn't class today.
Pardon me for all the motivational talks I gave myself yesterday about rushing back to school.
I was just joking.
I didn't want to go back. Not yet.
I remembered the way they treated me before I took that break.
The whispers. The stares. The judgment.
Even the damn principal looked at me like I was some piece of shit who deserved everything that happened.
They all acted like I was the one who cheated.
Like I was the villain in the whole story.
Nobody even stopped to ask how I was feeling.
Nobody cared that I was the one who got heartbroken.

But I knew deep down... they'd all eat their words soon.
I wondered what their reactions would be when they finally found out Alexis was nothing but a certified slut.
What would they say when they saw those sex tapes of her that had been flying around for weeks now?
Over two tapes out... and it hadn't even been a month since we broke up.
I would pay to see the look on their faces when they finally realized I was innocent all along.
A smirk tugged at the corner of my lips.
Forget it, Tyler.
I shook my head, pushing the thoughts away.
If I kept thinking about all that, I'd only get more pissed — and I'd probably end up locking myself in this room instead of going to school.
I needed to let all that shit go.
It was time to show them that I was better off without any of them.
I was going to walk into that school with my head held high — like nothing ever happened.
With that thought in mind, I pushed myself up from the bed.
Biggest mistake of my life.
The moment I stood up, my vision spun, and I fell right back onto the bed like a sack of potatoes.
"Shit... Not me hyping myself up only to collapse like an idiot."
I chuckled at my own misery, shaking my head.
After a few seconds, I tried again — this time, steadying myself before standing fully.
I dragged myself to the wardrobe, grabbed some clothes, and headed to the bathroom.
The cold water hit my skin, washing away the sleep and the headache along with it.
By the time I stepped out, dripping wet with a towel wrapped around my waist, I was already feeling a little better.
I picked out a simple hoodie and jeans — something casual. Nothing too flashy. I wasn't going back to school to impress anyone.
I sprayed some perfume, slipped on my sneakers, and grabbed my bag.
Just as I was about to take my car keys, reality slapped me in the face.
Oh... right.
The night of the party.
The gunshots.
The goddamn car was damaged.
"Shitttt."
I cursed under my breath, dropping the keys back on the table.
If only I hadn't agreed to go to that party... my car would be parked outside, safe and sound.
Now I had no choice but to borrow Mom's car until mine got fixed.
I grabbed my phone and stepped out of the room, locking the door behind me.
Halfway down the stairs, the mouth-watering aroma of breakfast filled my nostrils.
Mom never missed when it came to cooking.
But still...
"Mom, I told you not to stress yourself making breakfast for me."
She glanced at me from the kitchen, a smile dancing on her lips.
"I'll probably just grab something at school."
"You can grab whatever you want at school, but you're still going to eat what I made."
I groaned internally.
There was no winning against her.
I walked over to her, rubbing the back of my neck.
"Mom... can I borrow your car keys?"
The way her lips curved into that evil smirk... I should have known she wasn't going to let me off easy.
"You want the car keys?"
"Yes, please."
"Alright... but there's a condition."
I closed my eyes, already regretting my life choices.
Here we go.
"You'll eat this breakfast without complaining."
"Mom—"
"No arguments."
I sighed. "Fine."
"And... you'll drop someone off on your way to school."
I raised a brow.
"Who?"
Before she could answer, the front door opened...
And there she was.
Naomi.
Our neighbor.
The same annoying girl I took to the club that night — who stressed the living hell out of me.
I felt my entire soul leave my body.
"Hell no, Mom!"
"Yes, hell yes."
"You've got to be kidding me."
Mom grinned, tossing the car keys at me.
"You either take her... or you're walking to school."
I caught the keys mid-air, glaring at both of them.
Naomi stood there with a smug smile on her face, already twirling her braided hair like she owned the whole damn world.
I was convinced at that moment that God was testing my patience.
"Breakfast is ready, boy and girl." Mom's voice echoed through the house like a death sentence.
I glared at Naomi one last time before dragging my feet to the dining table.
If today was already starting like this...
I could only imagine what hell awaited me at school.
