It was hard for Arissa to stay away from Nicklaus. She don’t mind being in his arms all through the day but she urgently has to be in the hospital.

Adele will be discharged today and she has to be here for her sister and also, she has to break the good news to them. Unable to withstand it anymore, she had series of flashbacks, all about Nicklaus as she walked through the hospital corridor.

The boxes in the room weren’t the only gifts Nicklaus had for her. After breakfast, they opened the boxes together and Arissa marveled at the sight of expensive watches and collections of bags in their latest edition - even though she already had all of them.

The fact he added packs of candies and chocolates amused her and just when she thought she had seen enough of his gifts, she opened the last box only to be stunned by the sight of four keys - three brand new car keys and the last one for a motorcycle.

Her eyes almost left their sockets when she looked at all of the gifts presented to her. She was happy and did not even know how she should appreciate him.

She bowed her head, "Thank you," she appreciated almost sobbing, "I don’t even know how I should appreciate you, I feel bad I have nothing to give to you,"

Nicklaus smiled at her cuteness. He pinched her cheek and raised her face to look at him, "You have already given me everything by saying yes to me last night,"

Arissa blinked and her eyes sparkled, "Thank you for loving me,"

Nicklaus leaned forward and kissed her lips, "And thank you for letting me love you," he said after parting from the kiss.

[Present]

"It’s official," Arissa announced, her face dazzling with the brightest smile as she walked into her sister’s ward.

Jocelyn veered around to the door and started at Arissa with questions flashing through her eyes. Her ears itched for an explanation.

Arissa walked past Adele and Jocelyn who were currently having lunch and walked over to Adele’s bed. Laying down her motorcycle keys and her purse on the lampstand, she sat on the bed and smiled at them without saying a word.

"What’s official?" Adele asked when Arissa kept on smiling with no plans to stop smiling.

Arissa did not reply and just flipped her hair over to her back and that was when Jocelyn caught sight of the gorgeous diamond ring wrapped around her engagement finger.

"Oh my God!!" a shrill scream left Jicelyn’s lips and she abandoned her meal and rushed towards Arissa, "Oh my God, you don’t mean it," she said with wide eyes as she sat beside Arissa.

Arissa giggled and Jocelyn dragged Arissa’s hand into hers and started at the ring, her jaw dropping to the floor.

"You don’t mean it," Jocelyn gasped and let go of Arissa’s wrist. Her hands flew over to her mouth to clap it and she screamed more.

Arissa smiled and stared at her fingers. Adele finally understood what was happening and she stood up and walked towards Arissa.

She sat beside Arissa, took her sister’s hand in hers, stared at the ring on her sister’s engagement finger, and pulled her into a hug.

"I am so proud of you," she muttered, tears welling up in her eyes.

Arissa smiled gratefully and wrapped her hands around her sister’s back, "Thank you," she said and tears left her eyes.

Arissa smiled at her and turned to Jocelyn who was currently gushing over the ring, "I never believed he felt the same way," she said, "Last night, I felt like I existed in a dream,"

"This is so beautiful," Jocelyn gasped and smoothed Arissa’s face with a thousand kisses.

"Eww, Lyn," Arissa laughed as she enjoyed the facial kisses, "You promised not to do this anymore,"

"Says the girl who enjoys every drop of the kisses down to her heart," Jocelyn countered and continued showering Arissa’s face with kisses luckily, Arissa was barefaced without makeup.

Adele watched them with warmness in her heart. She loved the sound of their laugh, the sound of the kisses, and the sound of the playful protest coming from Arissa. From the deepest purest part of her heart, she wished for everyone to remain this way and have this smile on their faces

She does not wish for the sounds of these laughs to go away or have a reason to stop.

"Why is it on your engagement finger?" Adele noticed and decided to ask. From what she knew, Arissa was already married.

Jocelyn paused the facial kisses and freed Arissa for that moment. She was also surprised by Adele’s question because she failed to look properly and was carried away by her excitement.

Arissa smiled and admired her ring finger, "Because he asked me to marry him," she smiled in happy disbelief, "He asked me to have a real wedding with him,"

Adele gasped, "You don’t mean it," her voice was meek and her eyes became watery. "You are going to walk down the aisle!" she screamed at the top of her lungs and Arissa could only smile happily with vibrant stains on her cheeks.

Arissa covered her mouth with her palm and nodded in affirmation. Tears left her eyes, "I thought I never would. I fell in love with him from our constant quarrels so I never imagined he would love me. And when I realized that I fell in love with him every second, I was able to imagine my life after our two years together. I knew I was going to be lost without him..." she trailed off and choked on her tears, "But now, he proposed to me last night and we can’t wait to start up a family," she cried.

Lovely was speechless beside Arissa. She rested her head on her friend’s shoulder and sighed happily, "I’m so happy for you," she managed to say as excitement coursed through her body.

Adele pulled Arissa into another hug, alongside Jocelyn and kissed their heads like a typical big sister. "Thank you both so much for being happy,"

Jocelyn wrapped her hands around Adele and in the process squeezed Arissa between them, "And thank you for healing," she responded.

"I love you both so much," Arissa added from between them.

Jocelyn looked at Arissa’s tiny frame squeezed between them and teased, "Aww, look how tiny and sweet she is. She’s finally picking up her position of being the youngest here,"

Arissa gave Jocelyn a side glare which Jocelyn accepted happily and even planted a kiss on Arissa’s jaw, "Cute sweet wifey," she teased and Arissa blushed harder.

Adele laughed and lost from the hug so that Arissa would escape from Jocelyn’s teaseful claws.

"Where’s Collins?"

Jocelyn raised a brow at Arissa’s question, "Do you want to let him know about this?"

Arissa shook her head, "I only want to know what time Adele would be free to leave, and also, don’t you think he deserves to know?"

Jocelyn’s face fell slightly, "He does deserve to know," and then her face brightened up again, "Also, Adele would leave by 4 pm. Now I’ve told you what time she would be allowed to leave, I want you to tell me everything," she hunted for more gossips.

"Everything? About what?"

"Everything about your upcoming wedding. How do you want it?" Adele Arissa’she one who replied and Arissa’s whole body became red.
